4 Gran Stead s Ginger Co. produces unique non-alcoholic ginger drinks and traditional lemonade with a nostalgic nod to yesteryear. They were inspired by an original recipe created by Gran Stead herself back in the 19th Century. The story of Gran Stead s Ginger Co. started with Granny s original Mellow Ginger; a firm family favourite. For those who like enough spice to knock their socks off, there s now Fiery Ginger. Their brand new drink, Spiced Ginger Punch made with a secret blend of exotic spices delivers a wonderfully punchy hit of ginger delight. As a slight side line their Stem Ginger Balls in Syrup has always been a popular Christmas product as it makes a great gift or treat. 5 Deerview Fine Foods has been trading for over 20 years and was created in a home kitchen in the heart of Sussex with quality Jams, Chutneys & Marmalades being sold at local markets. They are still using Maureen s original recipes, so that they can continue to give you those great flavours and taste. 7 Orange Straws: Preserved strips of Orange Peel coated in Callebaut Dark Chocolate. All of the preserving is done in-house and only the best oranges are used. Marshmallows: Probably the best Marshmallows around and a proven hit with current customers who sell them all year round. The recipe goes back to the early days and is well tested and refined. 8 It was in Huntly that Helen first created her delicious traditional shortbread, and her friends and family loved the melt in the mouth sensation. Her husband Bill, a Drum Major, thought it was so delicious he decided to use Helen s baking to help raise funds for the local Huntly pipe band. Their touring helped spread her shortbread s fame far and wide, and soon, the aroma of home baking would fill the town as Helen established her own small bakery to meet demand. So popular was the light and crumbly shortbread that in 1992, Dean s moved to a new purpose built bakery on the outskirts of Huntly. Today, Dean s is still a family run business priding itself on using time honoured handcrafted baking methods, and is recognised as The Leading Premium Quality Scottish Shortbread. 10 Bookham Harrisons is a family run business located on the Surrey/Sussex boarder at Rudgwick. Bookham Harrison Farms forms part of a larger farming enterprise, with its main focus being dairy and the milking of 1200 cows. Using aged cream (for extra flavour) this Brandy Butter has a wonderful yesteryear feel to it and as described by Rob Bookham (co-owner), tastes as if your Grandmother has made it! They have also put together a very nice gift pack combining a block of their very popular Sussex Charmer (200g) with a jar of Sussex Pickle. 12 The Biltong Company started their business in a shoe box...the shoe box changed to a wine case, then to an old army trunk, and has now become the second largest biltong-drying chamber in the UK and certainly the most sophisticated and hi-tech. They are based on an organic farm on the glorious Sussex coast and not to put too fine a point on it - their biltong is considered the best in Europe! 13 A Family Business that has Grown from the Love of Garlic Colin Boswell and his family have been growing garlic on the Isle of Wight ever since his Granny Norah planted the first few cloves in her garden over 50 years ago. They have spent all the years since exploring its history and origins, experimenting with the many different varieties on "the Island" and creating many garlic infused products, from chutney to beer and even ice cream. 17 Terms & Conditions By ordering any goods from Love for Local the customer accepts these conditions of sale: PRICES The prices of Love for Local goods are those specified in this brochure, unless otherwise agreed. All prices are exclusive of VAT except where specified CARRIAGE CHARGES The minimum order value for free delivery is 100 (Net of VAT). Any order under this level will incur a 10 delivery charge. PAYMENT Payment for the goods by approved account customers must be made within 30 days of the date of invoice. Goods will not be dispatched if the account is not held up to date. All overdue accounts may be subject to charges related to the costs of debt collection. Property of the goods will not pass to the customer until the monies owing to Love for Local have been made in full. DELIVERY Delivery and the customer s acceptance of the goods shall be deemed to have taken place upon the occurrence of a signed delivery note by the customer or any independent carrier. RETURNS No goods shall be returned without prior acceptance of Love for Local. Credit cannot be given for damaged or price marked goods. DELIVERY DISCREPANCIES Upon receipt of goods the customers have two working days to advise Love for Local of any damages or discrepancies that have arisen. Goods will be collected by Love for Local before a credit note is given. CANCELLATION OF GOODS If you wish to cancel an order or any items you must notify Love for Local in writing 48 hours in advance of delivery, and Love for Local must confirm any changes.
