1 RECEPTIONS IN THE PERIOD ROOMS AND FILM HALL The Schielandshuis is the venue in Rotterdam where people come to be inspired and informed. This is the House of the City, where partners from all over the Rotterdam region come together to do business, to work or to meet up. The brasserie, the city garden, and flex work spaces are all available for this purpose. What makes this building unique is its historic significance. Built in 1665, functioning as city-palace, and visited by notable historical figures such as Napoleon and Tsar Alexander, it represents an important part of Rotterdam s long history. The rooms available for hire include the Period Rooms : historic splendour, equipped with modern furniture and modern technology. In addition, we offer the Film Hall a state of the art meeting room Brasserie Schielandshuis offers your extensive lunch, snacks or dinner. The Brasserie itself is also available for receptions and meetings. The historic elements mixed with modern furnishings do justice to one of the most modern historical cities in Europe. All rooms are for hire for the reception of groups or networking meetings in the context of the advancement or promotion of Rotterdam / SCHIELANDSHUIS / 1

2 SPECIAL HIRE CONDITIONS Due to the museum-layout of the Period Rooms there are strict rules for the hire of these rooms. The walls of the Period Rooms should be kept at one metre distance at all times. Moreover, no elements can be placed in the room that radiate heat and/or exude humidity. We are happy to explain these and other terms and conditions during the discussion of the booking application. RENTAL FEES, PER PERIOD (Film Hall or Period Rooms) 600 ex. VAT period. Inc. use of audio-visual resources and reception in the Central Hall. Surcharges apply in the evenings and weekends. (see table next page) WEDDING CEREMONIES The Schielandshuis is a wonderful location for your wedding ceremony or reception. On Fridays and Saturdays the Film Hall or Period Rooms are available for weddings. Brasserie Schielandshuis also has various options. Please contact us to discuss all your requirements. CATERING Our on-site Brasserie Schielandshuis can offer a number of specific meeting packages in combination with the rental fees in the Schielandshuis: Coffee Service - Standard coffee, tea and confectionery 7.50 per period, per person per whole day per person Coffee Service - Plus coffee, tea, water and confectionery per period per person per whole day per person Upon request, a delicious lunch, snacks or drinks can also be offered. They offer space for up to 34 persons. For a business reception about 50 people. TECHNOLOGY Available as standard in the Film Hall: Screen 450 x 285 cm (ex. backdrop), widescreen projection (16:9) and full HD (1920 x 1200), audio installation, a beamer (HDMI connection), microphones, lectern and a flip-chart. The Period Rooms have two moveable TV screens (HDMI connection) as standard for presentations. PAYMENT Invoices must be paid within 14 days of receipt.

4 SECURITY The period rooms are a valuable asset and on loan from Museum Rotterdam. A security guard is deployed for large groups (20+) and after 6 pm. LOCATION The Schielandshuis can be easily reached with both private and public transport. Car park Q-Park Koopgoot on Bulgersteyn 5 is immediately located adjacent to the Schielandshuis.

Train station Blaak and metro station Beurs are at approx. 5 minutes walking distance from the Schielandshuis. Beurs Station is the major metro station in the city. All metro trains stop here.
