It is my great hope that this convention will attract even more members, who will have a spiritual, fun, and productive experience. The theme for this convention is: Let Your Light Shine The convention is a wonderful opportunity meet and network with other Catholic Daughters across the state; for rejuvenating your enthusiasm in CDA, enriching your court, community and parish; and to grow in both spirituality and service. I encourage you to join in discussions; voicing your concerns and asking questions that are important to you at this vital three-day gathering of ministry and faith formation. It is also a time when you can vote on important issues concerning Catholic Daughters. Your vote can make a difference in our organization. 10 Outreach Project Pope Benedict has recognized the exemplary life led by Father Baker, a simple diocesan priest, whose devotion to Our Lady of Victory and service to the least among us was extraordinary. Bishop Kmiec Continuing Father Baker s Legacy of Caring The evolution of Father Baker's extensive social-service programs, Baker Victory Services (BVS), continues to care for individuals and families as it did many years ago. Acknowledged as a leader in the field of behavioral health care for children and adults, BVS offers a wide range of programs providing specialized therapy and care for those facing challenges. We are collecting gift cards or donations of any amount to help support Baker Victory Services: Youth Residential Services. There are several homes for troubled children in this program and they are always looking for gift cards because many children come in with nothing but the clothes they are wearing. If each person attending the convention brings a gift card for this worthwhile endeavor, we can truly make a difference.
