This is a self-guided tour with points of interests, a full-scale replica of the Oval Office, a large piece of the Berlin Wall, thousands of gifts of state that the President and Mirs. Reagan received during his administration and you will also have an opportunity to go inside the retired Air Force One Aircraft as part of our tour today. Lunch will be on your own today in the Café. However, the course is open to licensed drivers of all ages. Course completion helps older drivers refine existing skills and develop safe driving strategies in today s challenging driving environment. There are no tests required. You may also be able to receive a premium discount from your auto insurance company, after completing the AARP safety driving course. Pre-registration is required. Carlos comes into the center and he goes around and greets everyone even those he does not know. Carlos loves delivering meals while he has been looking for a job and he finally got the call. So last Friday was his last day and we will surely miss him and his enthusiasm for being at the center and his delivering meals. VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH Laura has been delivering meals only a short time but her enthusiasm has made her a real asset to our program. Laura had just retired from her job and was looking for something to keep her busy, so when the call came in she was ready to jump right in. Laura loves the people she delivers to and has been able to get to know them quite well quite quickly. We are very lucky to have her as one of our volunteers. The Azusa Senior Center & Azusa Woman s Club Are available to rent for your special occasions, family gatherings, meetings and celebrations. Please call for rates and availability. 9

The suggested donation is $1.85 per meal. Guests years shall pay $3.00 per meal. This program is funded in part through Title III of the Older Americans Act as amended by the County of Los Angeles Area Agency on Aging. All meals are served with milk, bread and margarine. June 24 Introduction of nominees at Noon Elections (10:00 am 12:30 pm) Installation of Council The nine (9) people YOU elect will represent ALL meal participants. The council members currently serving have each served 1 or 2 years on the Council and some of them are willing to serve another year if elected. PLEASE support the election process by participating in the nominations, getting to know the candidates, and then VOTING on June 17, All persons nominated will be contacted by staff to determine willingness to serve before they are introduced as a candidate. The Nutrition Council meets monthly and is in charged with being the liaison between staff and all the meal participants.
