13 Diversions We ve learned: Verify primary communications, they don t always know have the full loop. Primary challenge is getting the aircraft fuelled. Stand ready with passenger amenities, water, etc. Coordinate with airline flight control, especially challenging when it is an offline station, but even online staff may not be there. Coordinate with destination airport, for us typically SFO also coordinate with CBP, FAA

As they were doing that, HA 767 from HNL to LAS diverted to OAK with a medical emergency It pays to be ready.
