6 santa barbara vintners The Santa Barbara Vintners Foundation is the charitable umbrella under which the Santa Barbara County Vintners Association conducts its philanthropic work. Proceeds from the Silent Auctions at April s Santa Barbara County Vintners Festival and October s Celebration of Harvest benefit a number of community organizations. Carrying on that tradition, we are proud to sponsor the 2016 Santa Barbara Wine Auction benefitting Direct Relief. Again, this year the foundation will donate 100% of the net proceeds from this fabulous Wine Auction event to Direct Relief. The mission of Direct Relief is to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergency situations by mobilizing and providing essential medical resources needed for their care. Direct Relief s humanitarian aid spans over 70 countries and all 50 U.S. states supporting local health care providers without regard to race, ethnicity, politics, religion, gender, or the ability to pay. Since inception the Santa Barbara Wine Auctions have raised over $3 million, which has been leveraged into almost $100 million in medical aid to equip frontline health workers, free clinics, and other health centers with medical supplies and equipment to treat the world s most vulnerable people.
