1 Fun & Recreational Activities Looking For A FUN Evening Program? How About Occupying Some Free-Time During Your Agenda? Yarra Valley Conference Centre offers a wide range of fun, interactive and affordable recreational activities to enhance your conference program. A full range of the following activities are included in your Complete Meeting Package. You may on the other hand simply prefer a glass of Yarra Valley wine by the open fire or on the balcony taking in the magnificent panoramic views. 2 The following sections provide a brief outline of these activities. Naturally, every activity can be tailored to suit your individual needs. - K2 Climbing Wall & Abseiling Our four-sided 15 metre artificial rock-climbing wall is a wonderful way to challenge your group to go beyond their self-perceived boundaries. The wall offers a range of vertical climbs to suit the novice to experienced climbers. Everyone is fitted with appropriate safety harnesses and belay apparatus to ensure a safe, yet enjoyable climbing experience. Schedule approximately 1 to 2 hours. (By appointment, minimum numbers of 10 apply) - Archery An archery session runs for 1 hour and is conducted on our airstrip, only a 5-minute walk from your conference room. The group will be run through the parts of the bow and be shown how to shoot the bows accurately and safely. There will be a small competition where prizes will be awarded. All of the equipment supplied is set up for beginners and the team format ensures everyone contributes to the team effort. It s guaranteed that everyone will be more skilful with a bow at the end of the session and will have a great time! - Lawn Bowls After something a bit different? On arrival the group is given an introductory to the game by a wellversed club member, rules/aims etc. After a short practice period, teams are formed and the friendly competition then begins. A very team oriented sport that requires plenty of thought and concentration. (Conducted off-site and requires notice as subject to availability, minimum numbers of 15 apply.) - Winery Tours (½ Day) Includes transport on your own personal coach, wine tasting at the wineries visited and a cheese platter at one of the wineries. Popular wineries visited are: Yering Station, Domain Chandon, De Bortoli, Shantell Vineyard, Sutherland or St. Huberts Vineyard. A half day tour includes 4 wineries. (By appointment, minimum numbers of 10 apply) - Guided Bushwalk to Neighbouring Vineyard for tastings and cheese A 50 minute walk through the beautiful bush land on a guided walk from the centre to Sutherland Estate Vineyard. You will be greeted by the friendly staff who will introduce a variety of superb Sutherland Wines. A selection of local cheeses can also be arranged at an extra cost. After sampling the local delights you will then be transported by bus back to the centre. A certain level of fitness and correct footwear is required for the walk. (By appointment, minimum numbers of 10 apply)

3 - Personalised Wine Tasting We can organise for a local winery representative to showcase their portfolio at our centre. This is an excellent end to the days conferencing and beginning to the evenings relaxation. - Golf at nearby Yering Meadows Golf Club The Private, recently constructed, Ross Watson designed 27-hole championship course is available to delegates and their guests, approximately 15 minutes from the centre. Team orientated games can also be played sharing clubs, this eliminates the need for individuals to bring clubs. Club hire and accessories extra. (By appointment, excluding Wednesdays, subject to availability, conditions may apply) - Golf at nearby RACV Country Club, Healesville The Private 18-hole VGA registered golf course is available to delegates and their guests, approximately 20 minutes from the centre. Team oriented games can also be played sharing clubs, this eliminates the need for individuals to bring clubs. Club hire and accessories extra. (By appointment, excluding Saturdays, subject to availability, conditions may apply) - Trivia Programs Custom-designed trivia programs, running from 2 to 2.5 hours, often presented in the evening over a delicious three-course conference dinner. Presented by Mark Collard, one of Melbourne's top trivia presenters, the program is all about having fun. The questions are designed so that the average group will answer approximately 7 out of 10 questions correctly, with several more difficult questions to distinguish the more trivia-savvy groups. This is a popular, and thoroughly entertaining conference program option. Book early. A fun time is guaranteed. - Murder Mystery Night The perfect team building entertainment where everyone participates in solving the crime. Become a Major Suspect, throw in a red herring or just sit back and enjoy the fun. Fast funny and interactive, include costumes to further enhance the real life mystery, the party never dies, just some of the guests! - Games Night A games night is a fun competition of team against team tailored to suit your group. The emphasis is on entertainment and each round is a different format of quiz questions designed to suit different people s abilities. This is not your usual trivia night as the game show feature different rounds where it s all about having fun and not who is the smartest.

4 - Scenic Flights 20 minute flight over the Wineries, Sugarloaf Dam and surrounding Yarra Valley land-marks. Flights can also be arranged to travel to Wilson s Prom. (Mainland Australia s most southern point), over the snow covered Alps, along the Great Ocean Road and even to Flinder s Island in Bass Strait. (By appointment, minimum numbers of 3 apply) - Hot Air Ballooning When staying at the Yarra Valley Conference Centre why not take the opportunity to book a group flight on an amazing ballooning experience. Let the breeze usher you along the corridors of grape vines and over the Yarra River as you take in the breathtaking view of the mountains that surround the Yarra Valley. An experience you will not forget in a hurry!! - Horse Riding/Trail Rides Experience guided trail rides through the beautiful scenic Valley bushland. 1 1 ½ hour rides, 20 minutes from the centre. (Requires notice as subject to availability.) - Planting For The Future Make your mark on the environment by purchasing some carefully selected native plants & shrubs for your conference group to plant as a team building exercise. These will be planted in certain sections of Babbajin Park where they will create a food source for native wildlife. In recognition of your efforts and commitment to the environment a plaque displaying your company name and date of planting will be placed at the entrance of Babbajin Park Wildlife Shelter. (All profits will be donated to the Babbajin Wildlife Shelter) - Babbajin Park Wildlife Shelter Tour The Babbajin Park Wildlife Shelter was established by Tony and Georgina Woolley at the Yarra Valley Conference Centre in mid 2009 after its original shelter in Steels Creek burnt down in the 2009 Black Saturday fires. John and Louise Ward (Directors of YVCC) donated 5 acres of land to help rebuild the shelter on its present site. With a lot of hard work and kind donations it is well on its way to being a beautiful rehabilitation centre for injured and orphaned wildlife. Visits to the wildlife shelter can be arranged during your stay here. (All profits will be donated to the Babbajin Wildlife Shelter) - Tai Chi and Qigong, Yoga These practices help you to be stronger, more flexible, relaxed, energized, focused, centered, grounded and stabilizes problems with sleep, weight, circulation and blood pressure and much more. They can be practiced by anyone at any fitness level or ability, open to all ages.

5 - Relaxation and Therapeutic Massage Had you considered treating your delegates to a relaxing therapeutic massage? On-site massages can be arranged where a local professional will offer a range of massage techniques from Remedial, Relaxation and Deep Tissue. Alternatively you may wish to escape the busy conference schedule to a day spa centre in the local area where they offer an extensive range of treatments for you to choose from, for both men and women, including face and body treatments, Massage, hand & foot care, Reflexology, Osteopathy and Naturopathy. - Clay Target Shooting Corporate Clay Target Shooting events are ideal for all ages, levels of fitness and genders, as well as being one of the safest sports in the World. All equipment is supplied, along with tea & coffee on arrival. Each participant will be shown how to shoot a firearm before competing in the team building competition. Trophies are handed out on completion for: Team Winner, Worst Team, Overall Winner, 2 nd Place, 3 rd Place, Best Lady & Worst Shooter. Your hosts, two of the best shooters in Australia will make your day unforgettable: Russell Mark, Olympic Gold & Silver Medallist and Lauryn Mark, Triple Commonwealth Gold Medallist and Olympian. (By appointment, excluding Wednesdays & Saturdays, subject to availability, conditions may apply) - Paintball Skirmish Located in Coldstream 20 minutes from the YVCC. An exciting, action packed team building experience awaits you, supplying all equipment and with a focus on safety, expert instructors are on hand to ensure a great experience is had by all. - Seglympics (Self Balanced Personal Transportation Device) Put your team through their paces with an awesome range of competitive challenges. Manoeuvre around obstacles, zoom through a time trial & race your boss to the finish line. Over a 2hr period, test your skills on location at YVCC. Segway Victoria s staff provide full training and you ll be amazed by how easy these popular devices are to ride. Activities can be specifically structured around your corporate goals. Your Segway Victoria facilitator can meet with you prior to your conference to ensure your desired outcomes are reached.
