2 Importers of fine wines and craft spirits FASEL SHENSTONE is a national importer dedicated to bringing undiscovered wines and spirits into the United States market. We work exclusively with businesses who remain committed to original ingredients and recipes, who follow traditional production philosophies and methods, and who seek, first and foremost, to carry on the local styles and traditions of their regions. The company s core focus is aperitifs and digestifs, although we are constantly prying open new doors in new places. At its core, our company is founded on a much older interpretation of the role of importer. We work closely and directly with our suppliers to navigate the complexities of the US beverage market, to identify and establish relationships state-by-state with the right distribution partners, ones whose interest, focus, and portfolio promise to bring our suppliers and their products deserved attention. We do this on a product specific basis to ensure the heritage and identity of our suppliers is closely aligned and protected by the intentions and capabilities of our national partners. Meanwhile, we reinforce the committed efforts of our distribution partners by building relationships with end-customers and supporting their events, creative plans, and day-to-day needs in any and all ways possible. More than ever before Americans have a desire for niche products that exhibit in their flavor and presentation the local custom from which they were born. We get involved directly with enthusiasts who share a common taste and passion with our suppliers to deliver authentic drinking experiences that live up to the highest of expectations. Used as a main ingredient in most cocktails whether forgotten or innovative. Perfect as an all day aperitif when served neat, chilled or over ice. Infused with 19 botanicals on a Trebbiano di Romagna wine base. Full nose of Mediterranean herbs, sage, marjoram and oregano, with delicate aromas of lemongrass, dog rose and iris. Crisp white wine, pimento and nutmeg palate with a subtle bitter citrus finish. Breezy, clear and super dry, perfect for dry Gin Martini. Infused with 37 botanicals and natural spirit on a Trebbiano di Romagna wine base. Floral nose of angelica, chamomile, elderflower, genziana and mint. Sweet orange, ginger and pink grapefruit peal, finishing on cardamom, liquorice and a rich quinine presence. Ideal for a Vesper on the rocks with a wedge of orange. Infused wtih 38 botanicals, 10 of which are used for Amaro, on a Trebbiano di Romagna wine base. Dark red imperial Amaranth with a glint of caramel, vanilla, rhubarb, juniper, toasted wood, myrrh, Chiretta, cloves, cinnamon bark and dried orange. Remarkably balanced with a bittersweet medicinal root finish. Starting its life as the Mancino Rosso Amaranto, this extraordinary vermouth rests in a single Italian oak barrel for one year. A richer, nuttier and fruitier nose, with essences of cherry, honey, raisin, dark chocolate and vanilla. 5 A CLASSIC RIOJA BODEGA WITH AN OLD APERITIF TRADITION The business was started in 1895 in the Calle de la Vega in Haro. In 1903 it moved to the Bodega at number 71 in Calle Ventilla, where it remained for over a century. Vermouth production started roughly 30 years later, in Lacuesta Vermut remains to this day the only vermouth originating from Haro, the heart of La Rioja wine region. Without a doubt, this was a whole century of creating unforgettable wines and aperitifs, truly wonderful delights for the palate, as witnessed by a long list of awards and mythical vintages. E VERMUT ROJO VERMUT BLANCO LACUESTA RESERVA EDICIÓN LIMITADA Aromatic herbs cold-macerated in white wine are aged in American oak barrels for 3 years. This "Conzia" is mixed with a white wine base and aged for another 3 months in French oak. This vermouth serves as the base for Reserva products, and offers a beautifully dry finish. Vermut blanco is a semi-dry white vermouth. Skirting the line between dry and sweet, this vermouth raisers the interest and eyebrows of serious wine drinkers and bar professionals alike. Bright citrus and herbs blend seemlessly for a gentle yet palate grabbing finish. Lacuesta Reserva starts its life as Vermut Rojo. Once ready, that product is transferred to French oak or Acacia barrels and aged for an additional 6-9 months. Both Reserva products offer a bitter-sweet, aromatic flavor reminiscent of old fashioned vermouths. Made only with the best base wines, the Edicion Limitada is aged for 14 months in six handseleted French Allier oak barrels. Vino Blanco The wine spends 3 months resting on its lees, 10% in new acacia barrels from Central Europe, 35% in French Allier oak and 55% in American Missouri oak barrels. Green-yellow with oak highlights. Subtle fragrances of toasted oak, a honeyed background of fresh fruit, touched by the unique aroma of ripe banana brought by the acacia wood. Mouth-watering and fresh at first, with a persistent caramel taste. Cosecha Rosado Made by the traditional method of destemmed grapes. Pale raspberrypink, with touches of onion-skin orange. A clean fruity nose. Fresh, mouth-watering and lemony. Crianza Aged for 18 months in new and semi-new American oak barrels, it spends a further period of bottleageing be-fore its release for sale. Cherry red in colour wuth a ruby rim and a powerful nose of ripe fruit, sweet spices and quality cocoa. Tasty, fleshy and spicy. Reserva Aged for 30 months in new and semi-new American oak, this wine was bottled in September, Clean and bright, cherry red with a ruby rim. BLANCO CLASSICO With a straw yellow colour, Yzaguirre Classico White Vermouth has an intense aroma with herby and spicy notes. Mild balsamic touches give it a pleasant and very unique structure. Fresh and smooth in the mouth and very well balanced, it has notes of vanilla and cinnamon. Excellent as an everyday aperitif. ROSADO A bright cherry red in colour, Yzaguirre Rosé Vermouth is a light and sophisticated aperitif. Velvety aromas of caramel and herbs with touches of mint. Refreshing and very smooth in the mouth. Ideal for cocktails at any time of day, being sweeter and lighter than traditional vermouths. ROJO CLASSICO With a mahogany colour and orange highlights, Yzaguirre Classic Red Vermouth has an intense aroma with herby and spicy notes. Mild balsamic touches give it a pleasant and unique structure. Good aromatic intensity in the mouth which balances the acidity very well. Floral on the nose, with notes of honeysuckle, chamomile, and Meyer lemon. Griping acidity to achieve a balanced finish with subtle nuance. Blanco Reserva Rojo Reserva Seleccion 1884 The Blanco Reserva uses the same base and ageing techniques as the Dry Reserva, only with higher sugar concentration. The result is a Light straw color, with notes of lilac and Meyerlemon. Crisp and lively in the glass, candied grapefruit rounding the palate. The Rojo Reserva contains over 80 botanicals, and is aged afor 12 months in large oak barrels. Dark amber in color with an emerging aroma of Black Mission figs, candied dates, and Marasca cherries. 10 The history of ST RAPHAËL dates back to French Doctor Juppet was working to develop a quinine-based aperitif. After working endlessly late into the night, his sight began to fail...he then remembered the Biblical epitaph where the archangel Raphaël cured Tobias of his blindness. Anxious to regain his sight, he pursued his efforts and placed his new elixir under the holy invocation of the archangel. He thereby recovered his sight and managed to finish the recipe of ST RAPHAËL. ST RAPHAËL RED is warm, fruity and distinguished. The red mistelle provides body and ruby color.
