8 Deposits and Cancellation: A 25% deposit is required to book your event. Your date is not confirmed until your deposit is received. This deposit is non-refundable, nor is it transferable to another date. A second deposit of 50% is due 30 days prior to your event. These deposits will be applied to your final invoice. If you cancel your event, we will refund your second deposit only if we can re-book your date with an event of equal or greater value. Refunds will not be issued until after your original event date. Event attendance must be estimated at the time of booking. A final guarantee of attendance is due to the catering office by noon, six business days prior to your event. If your final guarantee of attendance is not received by this time, the expected number of guests on the event contract will be considered the final guarantee. In the event that your numbers decrease after the final guarantee is submitted, you are obligated to pay for the amount guaranteed. In the event that the attendance increases after the final guarantee is submitted, we will do our best to accommodate the change. Using the final guarantee of attendance, your estimated bill will be calculated and payment will be due in full the last business day before your event. Any additional charges or fees incurred the night of the event will be billed to the client the week following the event. All federal, state and municipal taxes are applicable and will be assessed to all goods and services (including service gratuity). If Emerald City Catering is found to be liable for any sales taxes not paid in connection with your event, you will be required to pay these taxes, penalties and interest assessed against. All payments are required in cash, cashier s check or credit card. A 2.00% discount will apply if you choose to pay by either cashier s check or cash.. For tax exempt organizations- A Tax Exemption number is required to waive Federal and State taxes. Stated prices are subject to increases and are only valid for 60 days. Service Charge: A 20% service charge will be added to total invoice. Gratuity: We at and Events believe that Gratuity is earned and not assumed. Tips are optional and at the discretion of the host of the event. Additionally, will provide table coverings for display/ food service tables. All set-up/clean up pertaining to the serving of food will be handled by the staff of, as it is our opinion that the guests at a party should enjoy it as guests. We are not, however, responsible for set up/clean-up of the facility not pertaining to the service of food.
