In addition to the monthy district regular lunch menu, Maine also offers a Turkey sub sandwich or uncrustable PBJ. Click on the following link Lunch Menu for the HOT LUNCH MENU. Please use this handbook as a reference for questions about procedures at school for children and parents. The information will answer many questions you may have about school to help things run smoothly. If you desire a hard copy, please contact the school office. Thank you. If you already have a volunteer account, log in at myvolunteerpage.com, select the opportunity you are interested in and sign up. (If it is full/locked, you have the option of being put on a back up list.) If you haven't created an account yet, visit tiny.cc/wsdone and click the For Volunteers tab on the left. Complete Step 1 and Step 2 (if the opportunity requires a criminal background check) Remember, volunteering in the classroom and going on field trips requires a criminal background check. They do take time to process so please PLAN AHEAD. With 243 students in our school, it is very difficult to deliver personal messages at the end of the day. Please make after school plans, transportation decisions, visits to a friend s house, etc. ahead of time. The end of the day gets very busy. Emergency situations are different. Maine School is lucky to have such a great team representing them with great sportsmanship and team spirit!! The Maine Lions finished the season with 2 wins at the jamboree!

Do you make your kids do chores? Some parents think their kids have too much going on with school, extra-curricular activities, jobs, etc to help around the house. This can have negative consequences.

7 Do you make your kids do chores? Some parents think their kids have too much going on with school, extra-curricular activities, jobs, etc to help around the house. This can have negative consequences. Jim Fay explains Sweet Aunt Sara has reached an advanced age. She is now so feeble that she can't take care of herself. You bring her into your home with the intention of making her remaining years comfortable. Since she is not strong enough to help out around the house, and knows that, you tell her that she no longer needs to help. You will take care of her every need. Wouldn't you think that she'd be so appreciative that she'd become sweeter and sweeter by the day? Not so. You and I both know this is not what happens. In turn, she becomes increasingly difficult to live with. Why is this? This phenomenon is known as hostile dependency. Embedded in the human soul is the drive to be independent. It is common to hate the feeling of dependency and quickly transfer the blame to those who make us feel dependent. Their good intentions are soon forgotten, as anger sets in. This situation is often seen in teenagers who live like honored guests in the home; those whose parents don't expect them to do their fair share of the work around the house; those parents who treat their kids just as we are treating sweet Aunt Sara. Do your kids and yourself a favor. Expect every member of the family to share in the workload. Thanks for reading! Our goal is to help as many families as possible.
