We all will miss her. Diane gave me her notice last month, and I began the difficult task of recruiting to fill her positon. I have found a very qualified club professional. Allow me to introduce, Bernie Rison, as the Club s new Assistant General Manager. With that said, Bernie would like to share a little about his background with you. Please give Bernie a warm welcome when you see him in the Club. Kindest regards, Bill Let me start by saying that I am very excited to be joining the staff at the University Club. Having been in the private club industry for the past twenty-six years, I come to you with a strong knowledge of customer service. The opportunity to work at some of the best clubs in the Louisville area, which include Hunting Creek Country Club, Hurstbourne Country Club, and Big Spring Country Club has provided me with an understanding of private clubs. As the Food and Beverage Manager at Lake Forest Country Club for the past eight years, I had the great opportunity to serve their members and grow in my career. I am an active member of the Club Manager s Association of America which promotes the advancement of club managers. Accepting the position as your Assistant General Manager is a great opportunity as well as a great challenge. I would like to thank Diane Henry for all of her help in making me feel at home in such a short time. Although I cannot replace Diane, I hope that I am able to continue the excellent service and standards that the members of the University Club have come to expect. Thank you for this opportunity. I look forward to meeting you all. Bernie Rison CONGRATULATIONS! to Elaine Steinberg for finding the rose in last month s newsletter. You can pick up your lunch for two gift certificate in the front office. WELCOME NEW MEMBERS Mr. Phil Bloyd, Fund Raiser (Norton Healthcare) & Business Owner Dr. Latonia Craig, Assoc.
