1 Loyal Order of Moose North Port Family Center Tamiami Trail, North Port, FL A Burden, heavy to one is borne lightly by many. MARCH The Friendliest Lodge There Is Tell your friends and fellow Moose members that you get the newsletter delivered to your computer. They can too: by sending to webmaster@northportflamoose.com or go to our website and click subscribe on the newsletter tab. F r o m t h e L o d g e G o v e r n o r March Message March is here and so much will be going on, but I need to thank quite a few people for making February a success. Can't thank everyone enough for the super Super Bowl party. To all those who brought in a covered dish and all the fixings; no one left that night hungry for sure. A special thanks to Gene and Chuck for another seafood fest and to each of you who came out to enjoy the excellent seafood that we had. Also a shout out to all those who worked hard in making this a great success. Thank you to the WOTM for a tasty Italian night and casino night. Everyone enjoyed the night. Even the non-winners had fun losing. I would like to thank our Man of the Month David Folk. He has really been a great asset to our lodge. Ken Lipp Congratulations to March's Man of the Month: Dave Folk Don't forget our elections are coming up. If you plan to run for an office you need to inform Dave Folk, our Lodge Administrator. Elections will be held on April 8th at 6:30 PM. Don't forget about our Queen of Hearts on Wednesday or Meat Bingo on Thursday. Please make sure you read the newsletter for all the great things happening each month. Anytime you get hungry come out for a great lunch or dinner prepared by our Chef Rafael. Note that he has extended the dinner hours on Thursday & Friday. Now for all that is happening this March: March 1 the WOTM are doing their casino bus trip, then Saturday, March 8 is our Nosh night. The Moose Legion is having a corned beef and cabbage party on Monday, March 17 to celebrate St. Patrick s Day. And to close the month our Moose Riders will have their BBQ chicken and hog dinner, preceded by Moose Races, on March 22. Look through the entire newsletter for more about all the things that are going on and stop in the Lodge.
