Golf Outing Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 23rd as we will be having a golf outing in honor of Roger Close. The price will be $80 per person and includes: Golf, cart, brat or hot dog with beer or soda, hole prizes, and dinner afterwards of Beef and Mostaccioli with salad and appetizers. Sign-up sheet will be at the lodge and a $40 deposit will be required to save your spot. Not Golfing? For Just $10.00 you can join us. Jerry slack. Sports Chairman Riders Lodges Visit On June 10th the riders will be visiting 4 lodges Yorkville, Sandwich, Batavia and St. Charles. Anyone interested in joining us please let an officer know. Moose Riders Cruisin for the Heart Books The Cruisin for the heart books are in if you would like one to have stamped when you go to other lodges please see one of the Moose Riders and ask for one. It s a great reason to visit other lodges. Total of 39 lodges some from Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa. Moose Riders 100th Year Raffle The winner for May ended up with $ as they were once again present and got 1/2 of the ticket sales and the $ Thanks again for all who showed up. The next raffle will be June 9th. Drum Clean-Out On Tuesday June 12th at 9am anyone interested in helping to go thru the membership drum and make sure everyone s name is in the drum is welcome. See you at the lodge!! Picnic Time The weather has warmed up and plans are being made to have another fun Woodstock Moose Lodge Family Picnic. The picnic will be held again at All Seasons Apple Orchard, Rte. 176, Woodstock on Sunday July 22nd, 2018, Noon till 5pm, the date has changed due to a later International Convention date. Admission is $3.00 per adult and kids are free. Hamburgers, brats, hotdogs, potato salad and corn on the cob are on the menu. Miller beer, pop and water are also included. Adults will play lightning, bags, pull tabs and raffles. Kids will enjoy face painting & animal balloons and a lot of fun games. Who may attend? Current Members and their immediate family members (Brother, Sister, Father, Mother and grandkids). Bring your moose card to show at the door. We will have inside seating with air conditioning and inside washrooms (no porta-potties) or you may sit outside and enjoy the day!

The more help we have the happier everyone is! Picnic Committee, Bill & Sue Lock PiCniC Raffle Raffle tickets are available in the Social Quarters for a chance to win $150.00, $100.00, $75.00, $50.00 & $ Tickets are $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00. The winning tickets will be drawn at the picnic on July 22 at 4:00pm. Winner need not be present to win. The proceeds help to off-set the cost of the Picnic. A bowling machine and a dart board. Go down there and check them out. We would like to thank all the different Committees that helped paying for the cleaning of the Basement after the backup. We are starting with one machine behind the bar and if the volume warrants it, we will add a second machine for just the dining area. 4 4 Continued from page 2 volunteers. Thank you to all the volunteers that help with all the meals, raffles, bingo, and drawings each month. Without your hard work and dedication, the Lodge wouldn t exist and continue to support Mooseheart, Moosehaven and our Community of Woodstock. One of the mottos of Moose International is A burden heavy to one is borne lightly by many which is true in our lodge. We are always looking for more people to help with all our functions at the lodge. Maybe you can t cook but you can do dishes or run the cash register. Maybe you like bingo and would like to help occasionally. Retention of members is major priority of the Moose Organization. I am looking for members to help make phone calls once a month to members whose dues are in arrears or their renewal date is coming up or addressing postcards those we can t reach by phone. Our goal is to be a plus one for the year. If you are interested in helping, please fill out the form on back page and drop it in the LOOM mailbox. Thank you. I would also like to congratulate the new LOOM Board of Officers and look forward to working together with them. Our next board meeting is Tuesday, June 12th at 6:00 pm, followed by the chapter meeting at 7:00 pm. Our second meeting of the month will be held Tuesday, June 26th at 7:00 pm. Please come down for our chapter meetings, meet some new friends and find out how you can get more involved with lodge activities and bring some ideas of your own. The Monday night dinner on June 4th will be Beef Tips and Noodles for $ Taco night will be on Tuesday, June 19th and Burger night on Thursday, June 28th. A thank you letter was received from Family Alliance thanking us for our donation last month of $ The Moose Legion is looking for someone to volunteer a few hours a month, on the 1st Sunday of the month to be committee Chairman. In order to fulfill our Mission, we must promote MEMBERSHIP GROWTH. To promote membership, we must get involved with our communities.
