2 FOOD Trends I am just back from a great trip to South America, it was my first time visiting this part of the world and I got to taste some interesting and unique local ingredients and soak up some amazing culture. Lima was a particular favourite with lots of delicious fruits and seafood. I m looking forward to taking some inspiration from this trip and translating it into some new and unique products for our own brand ranges. Inspired by this trip this month s trend update is looking at some new ingredients (chaga mushrooms anyone???), packaging innovation and Sweden s latest fitness trend. Have a great month! At the end of 2017 I had my trends crystal ball out and a trending ingredient that I called out for 2018 was the chaga mushroom, fast forward a few months and this trend has come to life. There are now calls for Camembert to get protective status, similar to champagne.
