5 JAPANESE WHISKY - 4 cl 1/2 Suntory Yamazaki Distiller s Reserve 43% alc. 4 Released in Spring 2014, this is one of two Distiller s Reserve single malt whiskies from Suntory in Japan. This single malt from the Yamazaki distillery is jam-packed with superb red berry notes, gained from the whisky being matured in Bordeaux wine casks and Sherry casks. It also features malt matured in Mizunara casks, adding subtle fragrant oak notes. Hibiki Japanese harmony 43% alc. 350 CZK Hibiki Japanese Harmony is blended of malt and grain whisky from Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chity. Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt 43% alc. 290 CZK A non-age-statement expression of Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt whisky, named after the company s founder, Masataka Taketsuru. It features plenty of whisky from the Miyagikyo distillery, as well as percentage of malt matured in Sherry casks to give it a rich, spiced nose. Nikka Taketsuru 17 Y.O. 43% alc. 790 CZK Pungent and oily nose with lots of toasty, sweet oak. Some malty notes begin to appear and the oak takes on a sawdusty, mature demeanour. With time some spices amble through. The palate is gentle and soft with citrus, mature honey and gentle smoke and spices. It takes its time to unfold. Medium length with quite a hot but spicy finish. Nikka Taketsuru 21 Y.O. 43% alc. 990 CZK Taketsuru 21 was crowned World s Best Blended Malt Whisky at the 2010 World Whiskies Awards. It is really a fabulous whisky, and for those of you who enjoyed the brilliant 17 year old this offers just a bit more richness, a little of more chocolate and coffee.

6 JAPANESE WHISKY - 4 cl 2/2 Nikka from the barrel 51,4% alc 290 CZK Whisky from the Barrel is one of the greatest value for money whiskies in the world. An incredible dram from Nikka, so much power! We can t recommend this enough. Medium-body with good balance. There are notes of cut flowers and fresh fruits, spice and a little oak. Full-bodied and punchy. There is plenty of winter spice and toffee, a little caramel and vanilla and a good mouthful of fruit. Long, warming and fruity with a little oaken spice.
