1 The University of Winnipeg Club New members receive a 50% discount for their first 12 months of membership! Located in one of historic Wesley Hall s turrets, the Club offers a warm, inviting venue for a morning coffee break, a home style meal, or after-work drinks with colleagues and friends. The Club s extensive menu features fresh, local, and in-house specialties, as well as a full selection of beers, cocktails, and wines. A full catering service is also available for both on and off campus events. The Club hosts a number of special events and celebrations for members and their guests throughout the year, including seasonal parties, receptions, and a fascinating Speaker Series. The Club contributes to the campus Food Bank, the annual campus United Way campaign, and to the General Scholarship Fund. Members may also use the Club s facilities to host private events from business luncheons to intimate celebrations with family and friends. The Club is the heart of campus community. It s a great place to relax, mingle, and have fun!

2 Facilities and Amenities The Club is a quiet, comfortable space for dining, relaxing, holding meetings, or hosting visitors to our campus. The Club s facilities include a lounge with comfortable sofas, a a cozy licensed pub, a dining room, and a private meeting room. Art Collection The Club is home to a collection of paintings by Murray Boyko, Jonina Cadoreth, Angele Gagnon, Deryk Houston, Kenneth Hamilton and Tony Tascona. Additional pieces from the university s general collection are also displayed in the Club. Authors Display The Club book collection showcases books authored by some of the University s most accomplished and productive writers. Over 80 of them have contributed to a collection of just under 200 volumes. The Drache Board Room The board room is ideal for luncheon meetings. The Club s art collection offers aesthetic satisfaction. Dining Room Located in one of the Wesley Hall turrets, the dining room offers an elegant but unpretentious dining atmosphere. The Pub Designed by David Hewlett with an Olde English décor, the pub provides a quiet venue for coffee, licensed drinks, or lunch, and is the center of Friday afternoon conviviality. Lounge Adjacent to the dining room, the Club lounge features leather sofas and is a perfect place to relax with friends and beverages, or to hold small receptions. Corner Library Tucked around the corner from the Pub is a quiet nook filled with books. Members may browse, borrow a book, or trade a book for one of similar quality. Working on the honour system, the Club s Corner Library is yearly refreshed courtesy of The Friends of the Winnipeg Public Library. Special Bookings Members may book the Club, at no cost, to hold events outside regular hours, including evenings and weekend. 5 Licensed Pub Pub liquor Menu Premium Shots Bar Shots Domestic Beer Imported Beer Cocktails House Wine Red or White Wine Special Happy Hour prices on Thursdays and Fridays! The Club offers a fully licensed pub, stocked with a selection of domestic and imported beers, red and white wines, and a variety of cocktails. The pub is a lively place to meet for conversation and drinks, or simply to unwind and recharge after a long work day. Special Happy Hour prices are in effect on Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Throughout the year, the Club hosts several special events for members and their guests, including parties, documentary screenings, a Hot Lunch Speakers Series, and Pub Nights. Associate membership is available to part-time employees, contract instructors, graduate students, alumni, and retirees. Fees can be paid via payroll deduction, cheque, or cash. Full-time employees receive a 50% discount for the first year that they are members of the Club (a year is 12 months from the date of membership).
