2 A quirky venue with lots of history... for a very unique wedding day! Once an actual chocolate factory, The Chocolate Factory (based at the old Williams and Woods building), was the first concrete building in Dublin! It has been home to the production of various products including Toblerone, Mint Crisp and other chocolate and jam goodies! It is without doubt one of the most unique places in Ireland to hold your wedding ceremony or reception!
3 First floor space... Our first floor space, with its large windows, high ceilings and exposed steel beams, is the perfect venue for an alternative wedding ceremony. We can arrange for a drinks reception with canapés after the ceremony or a full sit-down meal in the large first floor space.
4 Ground floor space... Couples also have the option of having their ceremony on the first floor and their meal and after party in the beautiful Blas Restaurant downstairs. The curfew for the first floor space is 11pm, but the party can continue until downstairs! Catering for both spaces is privided by the wonderfully talented team at Blas. You'll find some sample menus below but they are happy to work with you to develop bespoke menus too.

11 People and Packages Our team bring together a decade's experience of working in events and wedding coordination. On top of managing weddings at The Chocolate Factory, we run WedFest - an alternative wedding festival. We love creating quirky and bespoke touches for couples when planning their big day and no idea is too weird or wacky! Our standard packages are based on a wedding of 70 people, but we are happy to create wedding celebrations for groups of All packages can be tweaked, altered, customised, changed and fiddled with to suit the size, vibe and style of your day! Our team will work with you to put together a package that fits your personalities, your vision and your budget for your wedding. We also offer discounted rates for early/mid-week bookings.
12 Our standard packages include: Dedicated wedding coordinator, including day-of coordination and phone and support in the run up to the big day Ceremony seating Tables and dining chairs for meal Table linens and napkins Basic venue dressing to tie in with the style of your day Personalised menu cards, place cards Personalised table plan Candles and basic dressing for table centres (to work with the style of your day) Cake stand and knife (if required) AV equipment for ceremony and/or speeches Venue security Servers for meal/drinks reception Glass of bubbly for the couple after ceremony or on arrival Half a bottle of wine per person with all menu options
13 Next Steps & Things to Note! All of our packages can be increased depending on your numbers. You are also more than welcome to add to the standard package - for example including a drinks reception or canapes after the ceremony. While the venue is not licensed for a full bar, Blas will happily staff a cash bar for wine, craft beers, prosecco/champagne cocktail, in the ground floor space. If you have a specific date in mind for your day, please let the coordinators know as soon as possible. A deposit is required to hold a date and once that is in place we will arrange a time to sign a booking document for your wedding day and plan out a payment structure that works for you. It's then time for the fun stuff like meeting with the caterers to plan the food and drinks and deciding on the layout and decor for the day. We will be on hand to coordinate all of this with you!
