10 Geoff Coxon DECEMBER 27, 2016 AT 6:05 PM I was interested to read this entry, because Thomas {Coxon] was my ggg grandfather. I have researched my family tree, and was aware of most of the information, although not the bit about the shaving of the poor. As a matter of interest, I believe Thomas and Frances had a ninth child, a boy named Hammond, baptised on 4th April 1832, in Uttoxeter, and buried 6 weeks later on 17th May Geoff Coxon 2 thoughts on John Dumolo (d.1840) Plumber and Glazier One thought on Sampson Bartram ( ), Master Blacksmith, Uttoxeter 1. uttoxeterblog JANUARY 22, 2018 AT 12:12 PM William born 1831 and his wife Hannah, nee Sturgess in 1879 bought a farm called Meadowhurst part of the Chartley Estate at Grindley near Uttoxeter. His granddaughter Winifred Bossen, nee Bartram wrote her memories of her childhood there and also gave some history of the Bartram family. There are still descendants living at Meadowhurst. history. 1. uttoxeterblog JANUARY 17, 2018 AT 11:18 AM Interesting piece of research. I believe he is mentioned in Mary Howitt s My Own Life Autobiography of a Child. I may be able to identify the location of his shop. Well done to all involved
