4 BEELGARA Beelbangera NSW The Beelgara Winery has a history that dates back over 80 years, Italian immigrants originally built it in The winery is near the village of Beelbangera, which is in the Riverina and one of Australia s largest grape growing regions. The name Beelgara is taken from the original name Beelgara Vineyards which is the proud and historical name for the vineyard sites that surround the winery even today. The Brolga, also known as the Aboriginal native companion, is now depicted on our new Estate Range label, to remind us of our Beelbangera origins and proud Australian heritage.

5 SAUVIGNON BLANC CHARDONNAY COLOUR Pale straw colour. BOUQUET Fresh lifted passionfruit bouquet. The Palate is generous, textured with tropical fruit fl vours and has a clean crisp finish with g eat length. COLOUR Attractive straw colour. BOUQUET Alluring white peach aroma with some tropical fruit and yeasty notes. The palate has stone fruit fl vours and a soft and delicious creamy finish with a hint of French oak. 22

6 CABERNET SAUVIGNON COLOUR Deep ruby red in colour. BOUQUET A generous medium bodied red with a bouquet of blackcurrant fruit aromas. Red berry and plum fl vours with integrated choc vanillin oak and a fine tannin finis SHIRAZ COLOUR Light, bright garnet colour. BOUQUET Plum and blackberry fruit with some vanillin oak aromas. Rich, soft style wine with blackberry fruit and vanillin oak fl vours. Elegant soft tannins on the finish. 23

7 CUMULUS Orange Region, NSW In the early 1980 s some astute and dedicated wine pioneers recognised the cool climate and ideal soils of the Orange region. The area, alongside Mudgee and Cowra, produces twice the amount of wine as the Hunter Valley. The founders of what is now Cumulus were ambitious, planting a massive 500 hectares of vineyard and built a 10,000 tonne winery with storage capacity for 8 million litres of wine. In 2004, the company was renamed Cumulus Estate Wines, inspired by the local cloud formations of the area. In 2007, the Portuguese based, Berardo family joined us, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Today, Cumulus Estate Wines is the largest producer of an emerging wine region, with 508 hectares under vine, classified as 48% O ange and 52% Central Ranges. The vineyard has at least ten different varietals Shiraz, Cabernet, Merlot, Grenache, Mourvedre, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. With mild summers and cold winters, good winter and spring rains aid vine development. As a member of entwine, we also practice excellent sustainable farming practices.

8 FIVE FRIENDS SEMILLON SAUVIGNON BLANC Lifted lemon / lime citrus and tropical aromas. A mouthful of tropical fruit and zesty lemon acid. Wine is crisp and clean with a lingering dry finish COLOUR Pale with green edges. ROSÉ Perfumed and lifted, with savoury berry fruits. A lighter bodied rose style. The palate shows a nice balance between savoury fruit weight, crisp acidity, a small amount of residual sugar and the slight spritz coming from dissolved CO2. COLOUR Pink Blush. 25

9 DAN BERRIGAN Mt Benson & Robe, SA Located 300km south of Adelaide, the wine regions of Mt Benson and Robe are a new discovery and the wines are beginning to make serious waves in the Australian wine industry. They re an elegant and unique alternative to those made from more well-known wine regions. These wines have their own personality and natural balance, and pair fantastically with a wider range of foods yet can easily be enjoyed on their own. The wines are a new experience and who doesn t love trying something new?

11 SAUVIGNON BLANC CHARDONNAY TASTING NOTE A balance between grassy herbaceous and tropical fruit and passionfruit flavours bring an extra level of interest and complexity to the wine whilst improving its ability to match with a wider variety of foods and situations. Beautiful fresh, fruit flavours. TASTING NOTE The slow ripening of grapes experienced in the cool, seaside region of Mt Benson allows the elegant floral and stone fruit flavours to gently accumulate in harmony alongside the increasing sugar and phenolics in the grapes. Fresh white peach, lemon and pineapple flavours. Softness and roundness with flavours and tannins extracted from the new oak. 28

12 MERLOT SHIRAZ CABERNET SAUVIGNON TASTING NOTE A great example of Merlot when it s made to be bright and fresh with minimal oak. Deep colour with fine, delicate tannins and beautiful floral and red fruit flavours TASTING NOTE Beautiful flavours of violet, clove, and cracked pepper dominate, whilst fresh dark red fruits such as blueberries, cherries and plum shimmer alongside the creamy & precise French oak. Spicey characters, vibrant fruit and subtle tannin profiles. TASTING NOTE Blackberry fruit, vanilla and cream oak and mint herb characters. Of firmer structure and great length and balance, with an ability to age 10 yrs + in the cellar. 29

16 HASELGROVE McLaren Vale, SA Established in 1981, Haselgrove is surrounded by over 10 hectares of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Mataro vines with the Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon vines dating back more than 60 years. We also work with a group of dedicated McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills growers. Although renowned for producing rich and robust award winning reds from McLaren Vale, our whites are also making ripples with wine writers and on the wine show circuit.

18 H SERIES CHARDONNAY Stone fruit with some honey and hazelnut on the nose. A creamy palate showing white peach with a crisp appley finish COLOUR Vibrant pale straw with a youthful green tinge. SHIRAZ Ripe plums, blackberry and Black Forrest Cake, hints of raspberry and cinnamon spice. Youthful and intense, the palate displays generous ripe plums and dark berries with a soft rounded palate, balanced gentle acidity, smooth tannins with a subtle savoury oak finish. An intense and wellbalanced young wine. COLOUR Deep plum with purple hues and brilliant clarity. 35

19 FIRST CUT SERIES SHIRAZ Bright and intensely aromatic, the nose sings of the vintage and variety. Fresh cut herbs and red berry fruits with subtle spice and complimentary cherry oak. Fresh fruited with excellently balanced acidity and finely structured. This is a wine that will grow in stature as it ages. CABERNET SAUVIGNON Lifted, bright and fresh aromatics of cassis and cranberry with developing tones of bramble, dried tobacco leaf and hints of menthol and subtle cedar oak. The palate demonstrates all the hallmarks of great Cabernet. Mid weight yet structured, bright fruit with balancing acidity and a fine line of tannin creating a long dry finish, ideal or food. 36

20 ALTERNATIVE SERIES FIANO COLOUR Pleasingly pale yellow. Bright and lifted aromas of lemon zest, white florals and hints of sea spray. Zesty and refreshing with delicate flavours of citrus and lychee, the palate has a lovely texture with great drive and a moreish finish with a great, natural acidity. GRENACHE ROSE COLOUR Beautiful pale pink blush. Lifted bright fresh fruit notes, white mulberry, red grapefruit zest and delicate early picked strawerries with a hint of rosewater. The palate demonstrates all of the hallmarks of what one fo McLaren Vale's champion varieties can do as a Rose. Strawberries and cream, Turkish delight and bright red berries balance with a bone dry, crisp, moorish acidity and a textural citrus pith finish. 37

21 ORIGIN SERIES STAFF CHARDONNAY Lifted aromas of honeydew and citrus, with nuances of cashew and toasty oak. Palate is full bodied with fresh lemon zest and melon fl vours. The wine is beautifully balanced with a creamy texture and a refreshing acid line. SWITCH GRENACHE/ SHIRAZ/MOURVEDRE Deep, dark and brooding, the nose is a true reflection of the three varieties in this blend. Grenache provides darker, savoury, earthy characters. Shiraz typical red berry and plum, and the Mourvèdre spice and black pepper. All of the hall marks of this world famous blend are soft and unctuous with a juicy mouthfeel, full bodied and packed with fl vours of red berry and spice. Fine tannins lead to a dry and long finish perfect for food. 38

22 ORIGIN SERIES CATKIN SHIRAZ Deep and vibrant in the glass, the nose shows intense lift with characters of summer berries, fresh woody herbs with integrated spicy French oak. Medium to full bodied the wine dances seamlessly across the palate. Plum and juicy blackberry fl vours are delightfully balanced by a fine tructure and natural acidity. Spicy oak adds complexity and a framework of tannin leading to a long dry finish PROTECTOR CABERNET SAUVIGNON Lifted generous nose displaying blackcurrant, mulberry, blueberry with hints of dried herbs, underlying spice with a delicate hint of sour cherry. Full bodied with a velvety silk lined balance, dark fruits dominate the palate with subtle nuances of blueberry and raspberry reduction. Integrated oak spice and tannin give rise to a round finish with hints of chocolate, mint and tobacco. 39

23 JJ HAHN Barossa Valley, SA The Hahn s are as Barossa blue blood as you can get; almost national treasures. Maria and Johann Christian Hahn arrived in the Barossa Valley in Like all the early Barossa settlers they were of Silesian-German descent. Early settlers also staked out the best of the valleys farm land. Remarkably this land holding is still in Hahn family hands, six generations on. The history does not stop there as the current custodians, Jacqui and James Hahn still live in the original homestead constructed from 1846 to The partnership of Rolf Binder/Veritas wines and the Hahn family is to recognize the heritage status of this family, the ancient vines and their unique part of the Barossa Valley s history.

25 ESTATE COLLECTION HOMESTEAD CABERNET SAUVIGNON A rich deep purple colour suggests the wine will be full bodied and vibrant. This is matched with enticing aromas of sweet black currants, blackberry, cake spice and a hint of chocolate. As the wine opens, a waft of perfume reminiscent of black berry fruits, nutmeg and cassis, with a background hint of sweet oak fills the nose. The palate is ripe and concentrated with a wall of very fine drying tannins. he varietal black berry fruits fill the mouth evenly, with hints of subtle herb, notes of clove and tomato leaf, adding interest and complexity. The long persistence of fl vour on the finish is suppor ed by the subtle tannins and a fine line of acid. CELLARING An impressive wine for now, or drink over the next 4 to 6 years. REGINALD SHIRAZ CABERNET A full-bodied, full fl voured classic is the promise behind the very deep brick red colour. Notes of tea leaf, cedar, sweet berries, spice, chocolate and cigar box aromas which are all repeated on the palate. Ripe black forest fruits and spice are balanced by rounded tannins and seamless structure. The palate reflects the nose with fl vours of cedar, stewed fruit and cigar box. Fine drying tannins. A pleasant lingering finish of cedar, cigar box and stewed fruit with hints of aromatic restrained oak coming through. A fresh vibrant palate of good depth but fresh intensity and layers of fruit. CELLARING Very tight wine that is complex but not confusing. Drink up to 5 years. STELZER ROAD MERLOT The Merlot is a rich deep purple colour, indicative of the variety. The nose displays welcoming hints of stewed plums, perfumed violets, cinnamon and cassis. Further investigation is rewarded with a smooth mouth filling juice of blackcurrants, sweet spice, nutmeg and cassis. The palate is ripe with sweet concentrated fruit and soft velvety tannins. The varietal stewed plums and blackcurrant fill the mouth evenly, with hints of spice such as clove and cinnamon, adding interest and complexity. The long persistence of fl vour on the finish is suppor ed by the velvety tannins and a fine line of drying acid, giving texture to the palate. CELLARING An impressive wine for now, or drink over the next 4 to 6 years. 42

26 ICONIC COLLECTION WESTERN RIDGE 1975 PLANTING SHIRAZ This opaque dark red, almost black colour wine shares the glass with deep red lights. The nose contains lifted aromas of vanilla, mocha, dark chocolate and licorice allsorts. The medium bodied palate is rich and full with matching fl vours of dark chocolate, mocha, licorice and vanilla, refreshing acid and velvety smooth tannins. Good depth with a long finish of mocha, licorice allsorts and vanilla. It is complex and intense without being overbearing. CELLARING Drinking now, it should remain fresh and vibrant to the year S VINEYARD SHIRAZ Intense deep red colour. Aromas of deep rich mocha, toffee and chocolate are combined with defined but not domineering oak character. Extremely rich and velvety, with tight round complex flavours of herbs, cloves and deep pure silky Shiraz fruit. The tannins are veneered, smooth and soft with lingering persistence. Harvested from the Riedl Estate in the Barossa subregion of Vine Vale, from vines planted in the 1890 s. 27 JONES ROAD Mornington Peninsula, VIC The Frewer family established Jones Road vineyard in 1997 at Somerville on the Mornington Peninsula overlooking Westernport Bay. The maritime climate of this region produces some of Australia s best cool climate wines because of the late ripening, the fertile soil and careful vineyard management. Since those early days we have secured lease on 2 other vineyards here on the Peninsula. One on the Port Phillip side, close to the water and the other at Balnarring near the Westernport Bay. This has increased our vineyards to 60 acres. With these extra parcels of fruit it gives the winemakers an opportunity to blend from the different sites, mixing different terroirs.

31 NEPEAN SERIES CHARDONNAY This top-tier Chardonnay is precise, intense and rippling with concentration and nerve. Fresh-cut new French oak offers aromas of grilled hazelnuts, vanillin and spice with nougat and ripe pears, grapefruit citrus and flo als very complex. The palate has fine-e ched acidity and savoury nutty barrel-fermentation fl vours. A piercing and linear wine with restrained grapefruit fl vour, finishing crisp and mouth-wateringly fresh. 32 MOSS BROTHERS Margaret River, WA Established in 1984 by the Moss Family, the Moss Brothers wines have earned a reputation for consistently being some of Margaret River s finest. A commitment to sourcing exceptional fruit and high quality winemaking ensure the essence of Margaret River shines in every bottle. Patriarch Jeff Moss began his wine career in 1947, first with Mildara, then the Victorian Government, while simultaneously developing a 20ha vineyard, followed by a five-year stint with Seppelt. In 1978 he and his family moved to WA, where he became vineyard manager for Houghton, part of his job entailing the identific tion of worthwhile vineyards in the cooler south of the state. The family took its first step in 1984, when it purchased the Caves Road property, commencing planting the following year.

Of great length and balance, this wine finishes with hints of cashew nut oak and light lemony acid. COLOUR Deep purple red. Typical aroma of the Cabernet variety with leafy eucalypt and mint notes. 36 FIONULA RANGE PINOT GRIGIO TASTING NOTE An early picking window that ensures supreme flavour ripeness and the full capture of natural acid. The press cycle is gentle to keep the wine delicate. Fionula is bright pale gold, showing aromas of classic pinot musk, pink fruits and pear. A middle palate rolling with generous ripe fruits and textured minerality from the limestone soil, finishing crisply and with poise. NERO D'AVOLA TASTING NOTE Lifted fragrant fully ripe black fruits on nose. The aroma offers fresh cherry, damson plum, and notes of cardamom and clove. Elegant palate: fresh pure black cherry and subtle fine tannin, bring fruit flavours evocative of blueberry, boysenberry over a subtle but supportive savouriness underpinned by moderate tannins. Light and energetic on the palate with a delicious dollop of creamy fruit. This is the heritage blend of four vineyards Quealy manage that are all within the warmer Westernport coastal plain sub region. Bright and crunchy, the early picking and cool grey skies protecting the precious acidity of this naturally low acid variety. TASTING NOTE There are definite Pinot Noir notes in Musk Creek Pinot Gris and yet the wine is a lustrous greengold hue. Mornington Peninsula Pinot Gris at its most voluptuous. Aroma of wild honey, wood smoke and moving towards classic pinot noir aromas of red berry, forest floor. Powerful palate of the honey and berry, soft and rich however not sweet, and poised with natural acidity and ever so delicate white tannin. TASTING NOTE Musk Creek embodies the contrast of cool climate Pinot Noir. On the nose, divine aromas of fresh cherry, rhubarb and autumn leaves preserved by the invigorating location. Extended hangtime on the vine builds a palate that is rich, full, and generous. The wine is classic spearmint and raspberry with earthy undertones. 38 ICONIC "POBBLEBONK" FIELD BLEND "AMPHORA" FRIULANO "TURBUL" FRIULANO TASTING NOTE The beauty of Pobblebonk is the chorus of this vineyard quintet the pink fruits of Pinot Grigio, the sullen strength of skin-contact Friulano contrasting with the tingling acidity and opulent aromatics of Moscato and Riesling. Co-fermentation of Pinot Grigio and Friulano begins as a brooding, reductive moody wine ignited with the blending of classic aromatic varieties; Moscato Giallo and Riesling. The palate is a colourful tapestry of whole citrus fruits, jasmine tea, and orange blossom with a nutty background. TASTING NOTE Delicate aromas and flavours of watercress, almond, country meadow and brie. The focus is not new oak rather the pleasure of sun kissed tannins matured in seasoned barrels. Has a dark black crimson colour, bright and translucent. The aroma is violets and plums, the palate rich and tannic however there is a deep and soft core. TASTING NOTE Seventeen Rows embodies the idiosyncratic nature of Pinot Noir. Site expression personified. Brooding yet buoyant aromas of dark plum, violet, and rich earth stem from meticulous vineyard management, vine maturity and extended maceration. On the palate, earthy undertones of root vegetable and spice support pristine plum and cherry fruit. Seventeen Rows is pleasure and charm, rich and lingering; a true Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir. 42 HOUDINI SERIES SAUVIGNON BLANC Adelaide Hills In the glass the 2014 Sauvignon Blanc is a very pale straw colour with a slight green hue. The nose has soft kiwi fruit, citrus and subtle melon notes with a fresh mineral and grassy edge. The palate is restrained with fine melon and citrus fruit with an underlying straw like note finishing with a herbal edge and mouth watering acidity. The barrel ferment component adds subtle texture and length without an apparent oak note. CELLARING Smidge recommends drinking this wine to 2017, with freshly shucked oysters. CABERNET SAUVIGNON McLaren Vale In the glass the 2013 McLaren Vale Cabernet has a dark core with a lovely red rim. The nose immediately gives blackcurrants, sour cherries, subtle chocolate, ash, leafy tobacco and even a hint of violets. On the palate the wine is soft and generous, with dark fruit on entry and chocolate, blackcurrant and violets fl wing through. The palate is long and balanced with fine jui y tannins. CELLARING Smidge recommends drinking this wine within the next 7 8 years. SHIRAZ McLaren Vale In the glass the 2013 McLaren Vale Houdini Shiraz is black to the core. 43 SINGLE VINEYARD SERIES LA GRENOUILLE CABERNET SAUVIGNON McLaren Vale As soon as this wine is poured the colour is black to the core with a magenta rim. The aromas are deep, with dark cherries and chocolate, rich blackcurrants, subtle ash, licorice and a hint of spice and tobacco. The palate continues the dark cherries and chocolate with a dense juiciness and ripe tannins delivering a long and structured finish CELLARING Drink now and until 2025 with careful cellaring. ADAMO SHIRAZ Barossa Valley Upon pouring, the 2012 Adamo is black to the core with a magenta rim. Aromas of blackberry and dark cherry jump from the glass with subtle violets, chocolate and spice. First up on the palate there is plenty of dark fruit and spice with a vein of delicious chocolate. The wine is soft and tight with a wonderful balance of acidity and fine tannins giving the palate great length and complexity. CELLARING This wine can be drunk now or with careful cellaring can be enjoyed until THE GING SHIRAZ McLaren Vale 2012 on the whole was relatively dry and mild in McLaren Vale with some well-timed rain events resulting in what will be considered a very solid vintage. In the glass the 2012 Ging has a black core with a deep red / magenta rim. The aromas are complex and evolving, with lifted fresh notes of mocha, vanilla and dark chocolate supported by attractive plums, spice, chary cedar, anise and grilled meats On the palate this wine is full of juicy soft plums, which run through the palate, mocha, graphite, cedar and spice and finishes long and balan ed with fine tannins and subtle meaty tones. 44 ICONIC S SMITCH SHIRAZ Barossa Valley In the glass the S has a black core with a deep red rim. There are elegant aromas of red black fruits, and spicy earthy notes with a hint of grilled meats, graphite and controlled oak. On the palate the fruit continues with rich plums, and blueberries and delicate spice and chocolate which all roll on to a juicy palate with fine tannins th t go on and on.
