3 Entry Regulations Stevens County EHSG Premium List Premiums For all entries in Homemakers Division, premiums will be: First - $2.00 Second - $1.50 Third - $1.00 Homemakers Club Awards To encourage participation by clubs, a $25 award will be given by the Fair Board to the club with the most points from the scale below: 5 pts. Green ribbon Best of Show 4 pts. Blue ribbon First 3 pts. Red ribbon Second 2 pts. White ribbon Third A $20 award is given to each club with 100% participation in entering at the fair. Home Council awards $20 to club with greatest number of entries per capita. General Rules 1. Members of the Stevens County Extension Homemakers groups are eligible to enter in this division. 2. No article will be accepted that has been previously exhibited. No premiums on purchased or borrowed items. 3. Registration prior to your club s entry time is required. All members are expected to enter their exhibits online on the Stevens County Fair website ( Group members are encouraged to help each other accomplish this. Deadline to enter is August All exhibits must be made or assembled by the exhibitor. 5. Please use Ziploc plastic bags for displaying food. 6. Entry day is Thursday of County Fair week from 8-11 a.m. An extra time has been set for Wednesday evening from 7-8 p.m. 7. Exhibitors may enter only one item per lot. 8. Most exhibits will receive constructive written comments from judge. 9. The Entry Committee reserves the final right to interpret these rules and regulations. 10. Check out time is 8 p.m. Sunday evening. 11. Please read directions for each division. Dated items need to be within the program year Bring your group banner on entry day. 13. 17 Stevens County EHSG Premium List Food Preservation Division 1. Processing time and method must be clearly written on the jar. For correct processing time, call the U of M Extension AnswerLine at , Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-12 noon, and 1-4 p.m. Vegetables, meat and fish must be pressure canned. Entries without this information will be disqualified. Extension rules must apply. 2. Must use regulation jars, 1/2 pint, pint or quart. 3. Jams and jellies must be processed by hot water bath. Jars may be 1/2 pint. No wax on jams and jellies. 4. Only 1 jar is required for an exhibit. 5.
