A grand and charismatic country house set in 376 acres of magnificent formal gardens and woodland, Cliveden is the original party house. Home to the Astors for decades, and host to the likes of Churchill and Chaplin, Cliveden s social soul can be felt throughout the house, emanating from the art on the walls to the names on the bedroom doors (each of which is named after a former distinguished guest of the house). A nominal charge of 8.35 per person for lunch and afternoon tea or 2 per person for dinner will be added to your account and passed to the National Trust. A number of different carols will be performed from O Come All Ye Faithful to Jingle Bells. Following a, enjoy the carol concert, followed by a three-course festive dinner with wines, coffee and bonbons. THE QUEEN S SIX Based at Windsor Castle, the members of The Queen s Six make up half of the Lay Clerks of St George s Chapel, whose homes lie within the Castle walls. This rare privilege demands the highest musical standards, as they sing regularly for the Royal family at both private and state occasions.
