1 Issue 47 Editorial Utterances February 2017 Greetings All, I am in need your stories and contributions if the newsletter is to continue! This is your branch newsletter so please contribute or I shall be forced to make up stories that may not be factual or accurate. What happened on the ride to Nimmitabel recently?? Some members of the branch have expressed interest in Archery. The Bega Valley Archers first shoot for 2017 will be at Colombo Park Bemboka commencing at 10am on the 12th February. Come along and give archery a go! There has been some discussion between members regarding motorcycle batteries. Ernie put me in touch with Batteries Direct recently, definitely worth a look if you need a battery for your bike. See you on the road???? James Murray - Large Editor

2 Presidents Yarn Well the first month of the year is nearly gone and by the time you all read this Australia Day will be over. During the month I had a rear tyre problem with the Enfield (they don t like to be flat at the bottom) and I had to have it recovered from Tathra and taken home to Bega so how to do it, options were, take to the servo up the road, get a ute or trailer But I went for use my RAA membership now I have seen how some tow truckies up lift bikes so not real keen on the idea I rang. No worries said the Lady won t be long. 10mins later around the corner came Bart on his bike, came over and said no worries I go and get the truck, so to cut the story short thank god we have a NMRA towie in the valley who is motor cycle savvy Thanks Bart. On last Sunday we met at Coffee 22 in Pambula, for those who attended young Craig Shaw and staff made us truly welcome. So the members there agreed that we will give Coffee 22 a go on the 4 th Sunday of the month. A few years back one of the things on our calendar was a visit to member s sheds branch would put on coffee/tea with a no frills sang bbq. The idea was to have a yarn look at his toy etc so if you would like this activity to be back on the calendar please let me know. In closing I was reading the paper last week and an article on Michael Chamberlain s funeral grabbed my attention at the altar amongst other things was a Triumph motor cycle and a friend explained that one of Michael s saying was Four wheels moves the body but Two wheels moves the soul.
