Lodge News & Views PHONE: (757) The Lodge will honor all Fathers with a Father s Day Breakfast on Sunday, June 17th, 8:30 to 11:00AM. All Fathers will eat free from a special menu for that day. Our Sunday morning breakfast cooks are Johnny Cash, Charlie Hill and Mike Kelley. They do a great job and we all thank them. Meetings Loyal Order of Moose (LOOM): 1st & 3rd Wednesdays Officers meet at 6:00PM General Meeting at 8:00PM We are proud to say that we continue to have a band EVERY Friday night and Karaoke & music on Saturday nights in the Social Quarters. This is all free to our members and their guests. We have had some new bands and occasionally brought back some favorite bands from our past. The crowds have picked up and everyone seems to really enjoy themselves. Moose Legion: 2nd Wednesday of the month Social Hour at 6:00PM Meeting at 7:00PM Women of the Moose (WOTM): 1st & 3rd Thursdays at 7:00PM Committees & Officers meet the 2nd Thursday at 7:00PM Our game ended last month and a new game started. We are glad to see so many members from other lodges come to participate. We are also happy to see other lodges members regularly come to our dances and karaoke, and play in our shuffleboard games. Joint LOOM & WOTM Meeting 3rd Wednesday of the month The more the merrier! Moose call is a monthly Lodge publication and subscriptions are automatically paid as part of your annual membership dues. It is published under a permit issued by Moose International. 3 The Governor s Corner I would like to thank the out-going officers and committee members for their support and service to the Lodge. I want to welcome the newly elected LOOM and WOTM officers. Your talents and leadership skills with make for a successful coming year! I would also like to thank everyone that voted for me during the nomination and election. Remember that we have Breakfast every Sunday morning. The kitchen is open on Friday evenings with a band from 8:00 to 12 midnight. On Saturday evenings, there is karaoke and also the Saturday night dinner from 6:00 to 8:00. Pool and shuffleboard games are also available on this night. Newport News Moose Legion Chairman s Report Our last meeting was held on May 11 and the meal was prepared by Mike Kelley. Thank you, it was great. Along with any ideas and suggestions. Another corn-hole tournament is being planned for Moose members, WOTM and guests in September. Come out, help us plan and get it rolling into something big.
