4 Governor s Corner Christmas is but a few weeks away. Need a gift idea for a friend or family member? How about a membership to Dayton 73? It's a gift that last a year and hopefully a lifetime. Membership at "73" has many benefits like fraternalism, entertainment, dinners and more. More importantly you're part of a group of individuals who gives back to the those in need and the community year after year. Moose International currently reports there are 532,821 LOOM members. Sadly, 332,236 have never sponsored a new member. Let's start to reverse that trend. I will sponsor and pay for one new membership for the first person who contacts me after this news letter goes out. Will you join me? I hope so. Merry Christmas! See ya around the lodge, Tom Weaver Moose Legion Well December is here and my, how the months are flying by. It s getting colder and maybe there will be snow for Christmas. The Moose Legion donated some gift cards to some needy families and we hope it made their day. The Moose Legion Auction raised $602 for the Family Activities Children s Christmas Party. Dates to remember; 12/01 Chicken Breast 12/10 Mushroom Steak Subs & Fries 12/16 Moose legion Christmas Party 12/22 & 12/26 Moose Legion Pizza Fraternally, Greg Cason Moose Legion President Administrator What a wonderful time of year. It seems like everyone is happy and friendly with the holidays in full swing. Let s carry that happiness over to the lodge and everything we do. It s a good time to enact the Moose Legion slogan, do something good for someone each day, Good things you do will pay you back in multitude. FYI, big NYE party here at Dayton 73, Full Frontal will be playing so arrive here early so you can get your seat. Fraternally, Chris Hollan Women of the Moose It s so hard to believe that the Christmas is almost here. WOTM Christmas party will be held on Tuesday December 11 6pm. Please bring a covered dish to share. If you d like to be part of the gift exchanged bring a $10 gift. Your significant other may attend the Christmas party. Congratulations to Shelly Dinsmore on winning the drawing of lifetime membership. Just a reminder that you must attend an orientation before you are eligible to participate in any Lodge drawings. Orientation is held after any of the WOTM meetings which are 2 nd and 4 th Tuesdays of the month at 7:00 or the 3 rd Sunday at 10:00. Get involved and let your ideas be heard. We welcome anyone willing to volunteer to help with dinners. It s never too early to think about running for an office. Hope to see you at one of our meetings, WOTM Ch.9 Page 4 of 6 Downloaded from Posted: 12/1/2018
