2 Welcome to Bolton Community Transport and Furniture Services 2018 Excursion Calendar! Please read through the following information and then browse the calendar, get your marker pen out, and start booking! We can t wait to see you onboard. BOOKING INFORMATION HOW DO I CONTACT YOU? Our office is at Unit A1, Lecturers Close, Bolton BL3 6DG (registered charity number ). The transport telephone number is Our office is open Monday to Friday: 9.00am to 5.00pm. If you need to contact us outside office hours, please leave a message on our answerphone and we will get back to you at the earliest opportunity. HOW DO I BOOK? You can telephone us or call into our office. We ll need your name, the address that you want to be picked up from, your telephone number, and details of any wheelchairs, walking aids or other equipment that you use. WHERE DO YOU OPERATE? We can pick up individuals from addresses in the Bolton area, and groups from addresses in the Bolton and Bury areas. However, if you live just outside this area, or you re not sure, please do get in touch. WHERE AND WHEN WILL YOU PICK ME UP? We can pick you up from your home, or another address, and return you there at the end of the day. Almost all of our excursions set out in the morning, so we ll usually be collecting you between 9:00am and 11:30am, but we ll phone you with a pick up time two working days before the excursion. ACCESSIBILITY All of our minibuses have tail lifts and facilities for wheelchairs. We can also carry walking frames and will do our best to help with any other requirements you may have. To ensure that everyone can travel legally and safely, you must let us know the correct details (type and numbers) of any wheelchairs, walking aids or other equipment when you book, and contact us as soon as possible if anything changes. If our driver arrives to collect you and finds that your requirements are different to those you booked, unfortunately they may be unable to accommodate you on the minibus. GROUPS If you are a nursing home, a care home, a community group, or a group of any kind, and can assemble at least 10 people, we can provide you with a bus of your own for one of our excursions provided you book and pay in advance and we have an extra bus available. The sooner you book, the better the chances Do you know that you can also book your own trips with us by hiring one of our minibuses and drivers? We can provide a minibus and driver to take you anywhere you want to go to, at a date and time that suits you, and we will pick you up from your own front door, or from wherever you choose, at one address or several. Our current clients include schools, charities, community organisations, sports teams, care homes, residents associations and groups of friends, amongst others. PAYMENTS We accept payments by cash, cheque (made payable to BCTFS), Bolton Community Transport vouchers, or credit/debit card. If you are paying by card, you will need to contact the office prior to travel. If you are an individual and you have booked on one of our excursions, you can pay your driver on the day, unless the excursion is advertised as everyone must pay in advance.

3 If you are booking more than three excursions at one time, you will need to pay in advance for each excursion. If you are booking for more than one person, you will need to pay at the time of booking, as more than one person cancelling an excursion without payment can result in an excursion not running. All excursions indicating pay in advance require payment at the time of booking, without exception. If you are a group, you will need to pay in full at least 14 days prior to travel (with a deposit of per bus being paid at the time of booking). We can send you an invoice. LOYALTY CARD DISCOUNTS Request a loyalty card and after ten trips we ll send you a 5.00 (individual) or a (group) voucher to spend on future travel. IF A TRIP IS CANCELLED We do our best to ensure that every excursion in this brochure runs as advertised. However, in circumstances beyond our control, such as a venue cancelling an event, or minimum numbers not being met, we may have to change or cancel an excursion. No charge will be made by us if we have to cancel an excursion. We reserve the right to charge for an excursion cancelled by you with less than 48 hours notice (at the Manager s discretion), although we would appreciate at least a week s notice if cancelling, so we can open up your place to someone else. TIME TO SPARE? SKILLS TO SHARE? INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING? VOLUNTEER MINIBUS DRIVERS WANTED! If you would like to give something back to your local community, perhaps whilst gaining some new skills or developing your CV, then why not consider volunteering with Bolton Community Transport & Furniture Services as a volunteer minibus driver. In return for your valuable time, we ll provide training and support, meet your out-of-pocket expenses, and can provide a reference if you re job-hunting.
