2 Dining at Ballenberg 2 Welcome The Ballenberg open-air museum is always worth a visit. We appreciate your interest. Our top priority is to make your event a complete success. We are happy provide professional advice and support to assist you with the organisation. On the following pages, you will find ideas and suggestions for your event. The menu suggestions are intended for groups of 20 people or more. For smaller groups, we recommend our à la carte menu. There are three beautiful venues for dining in a historic setting at Ballenberg, which can accommodate between 10 and 350 people. We will gladly provide you with a marquee on request. Our catering department can serve groups of 20 or more people, from light buffets to complete menus. On request, we can also handle entire events from A to Z. We would be delighted to count you as one of our guests and we would be happy to provide a non-binding offer. Your host, André Schöpfer, and his team look forward to meeting you.
3 Our restaurants 3 Wilerhorn inn The chalet-style Wilerhorn at the east / Brienzwiler entrance is the ideal venue for banquets of all kinds such as group trips, company parties, anniversaries, weddings etc. The Wilerhorn is also ideal for NON-museum visitors, as the inn is located in front of the museum entrance in an excellent, easily accessible location. There are many parking spaces are available and the public bus will take you right to the entrance! 12 General Terms and Conditions (GTC) 12 All prices are in Swiss Francs incl. VAT. Children We have a special children s menu. For children aged 6 to 15, we charge half the menu price from the banquet menus. Catering in the grounds We charge an expense allowance of 10% for catering events in the grounds of the open-air museum. Catering in the grounds is only available for events with 20 people or more. Corkage fee We charge 3.50 per decilitre dispensed for any beverages you bring with you. Cake fee We charge 3.00 per attendee for any wedding cakes and or other cakes you bring with you. Flowers and decorations Our professional florist will gladly decorate according to your wishes. The costs are calculated according to expenditure. No decorations may be put up without the consent of the Ballenberg restaurant. Entertainment We would be happy to recommend an ensemble or orchestra, as well as performers, artists, or folklore groups. Surcharges after midnight We charge an extension surcharge of CHF 150 per hour for events that go on beyond normal opening hours. Terms and conditions In order to guarantee the success of your event, it is necessary for you to: tell us the expected number of guests 10 days before the event. tell us the definite number of guests (minimum number) 2 days before the event. This minimum number is binding for the subsequent invoicing. Terms of Payment The payment deadline is 10 days after receipt of the invoice. For larger events, we reserve the right to request a deposit at our discretion. Cancellations of confirmed bookings If the premises can be re-rented to the same extent, no costs will be incurred for the renter. Otherwise, we charge the following cancellation costs: Up to 4 weeks before the event 25 % of the expected bill Up to 7 days before the event 50 % of the expected bill Less than 7 days before the event 100 % of the expected bill Only cancellations in writing will be accepted! Liability The organiser is liable for payment for any additional food and drinks ordered by the event participants. No liability is assumed for damage or loss of items brought to the premises. The organiser is expressly liable for damage to the inventory of the Ballenberg restaurant. Place of jurisdiction The place of jurisdiction is Brienz.
