2 Welcome to Au d Hex Estate In heart of the Wellington winelands you will find the hidden gem called Au d Hex. The Estate operates as an exclusive wedding and function venue with onsite luxury accommodation that will provide you with 5* offers. Our accommodation in the form of our Manor House can accommodate 20 of your guests with 10 beautiful rooms. At Au d Hex we pride ourselves in our ability to create your most memorable day and making sure everything runs smoothly and perfectly. We are specialist in our trade and will ensure you a stress free experience. We would love to welcome you to the venue of your dreams for anything from a wedding, conference or private function. We are a stone throw away from our little town Wellington, and 75 km from Cape Town.

3 WEDDINGS The Venue lends itself to an ever changing look, making it easy for each client to bring their own look and feel to their wedding or event. Our inside venue offers a seated area for smaller weddings that s flows over to our outside area making bigger weddings to up to 140 people possible. Apart from this area we also have possible set-up areas for tented weddings which will give you a wider range of options in terms of size. We have the most beautiful manicured gardens, giving you a French provincial feel with the roses and lavender all around. Our jetty is on site and you are welcome to host your ceremony or predrinks on the water. CONFERENCES / CORPORATE EVENTS We are the perfect venue for any conference. We have inside facilities, outside facilities as well as onsite accommodation. VENUE RATES: We don t work on a venue and accommodation fee, but what makes us special is the fact that you only pay for your accommodation and get your venue for free. 5 VENUE FEE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING: CEREMONY & PRE-DRINKS - Use of the garden, gazebo & floating jetty - Set-up of tables & chairs - Set up of the glassware, plates & cutlery FURNITURE - 10 Raw wooden rectangular tables 2.4m by 1.0m BAR & GLASSWARE - Bar facility fully licensed - Glasses for bar - Unlimited ice glasses for table set-up: champagne, red wine, white wine CUTLERY AND CROCKERY - Contemporary silver plated cutlery for 100 guests - Basic white crockery for 100 guests STAFFING - Manager on the day - Please take note that after doing setup and the bride or groom changes their minds and we need to redo the setup an additional R1000 will be added to the bill for every setup thereafter VENUE FEE EXCLUDES THE FOLLOWING: - Tents. Au de hex management can however arrange for quotes and set-up of any tent structures - Service staff: professional waiters will be quoted accordingly - Barmen: R 600 per barman per night - Sound equipment - Corkage is allowed only for wines and bubbly. 6 GENERAL INFORMATION: CATERING - We have 3 options for in house caterers - Kosher & Halaal catering will be outsourced to a preferred supplier & there will be an additional hiring fee of R2500 for the use of our kitchen facility - In case other glassware, crockery or cutlery is required other than what is provided by Au d Hex, this will be at the clients own account BAR SERVICE - Au d Hex is fully licensed & will meet with your beverage requirements. We regret that the bar cannot be outsourced to the client. - Bar requirements will be required 14 days prior to function - Bar prices may change without prior notice - Wine: most of our wines are from wellington region. Please see our Wine List below. - Corkage: R35 per bottle of wine or champagne - Bar trading hours: our liquor license allows us to trade up until 01:00. The bar will close at 01:00. MUSIC & SOUND - Equipment for sound will not be provided - Noise regulation: venue manager reserves the right to regulate the volume of all music during the course of the function - Cut off time for dance & live music will be at 01:00. EVENT DURATION - The venue will be open on the day of the function from 9:00 until 01:00.

7 SITE INSPECTIONS & VIEWINGS - Viewing of our venue & accommodation is by appointment only. Office hours are Mondays Fridays from 09:00 16:00. - Alternative arrangements can be made for viewing outside of these hours. BREAKAGES & DEPOSITS - Keep in mind that deposits or full payments made for events at Au d Hex are non-refundable. All payments must be made prior to the wedding or event. - A R2 000 refundable breakage deposit is required - Client, service providers & guests shall be held responsible for any breakages or damages caused to the venue during the event of the function, this will be deducted from the breakage deposit - This will be applicable for the manor house as well. - South Africa legislation: smoking is only allowed in designated areas - A fee will be applicable if this rule is not obeyed CANCELLATIONS - Should a cancellation occur between 30 days after your initial booking and 3 months prior to your event date, we will retain your deposit. - If a cancellation is made within 3 months prior to your event, our management will request a full payment and any other costs incurred by our team pertaining to the event.

8 SAFETY & SECURITY - We offer a safe & secure environment - Right of admission is reserved CHILDREN - Guardians will be asked to sign an indemnity form. Babysitters can be arranged at an additional cost - Please beware we have a dam on the estate and we can t take any responsibility for any incidents happening in the dam - Swimming is strictly prohibited WEATHER - Au d Hex takes no responsibility for outdoor events - Duty manager might need to change to plan B in extreme weather conditions. DÉCOR AND FLOWERS - We prefer that all décor, lights & additional hiring needs to be done through Baie Goeters If however you want to make use of another lighting or hiring company, please just inform Au d Hex management - Please see our preferred florists below, but you are welcome to make make use of any professional florist.
