The show choir will perform the National Anthem at two Varsity basketball games and will sing and dance at the SRES Spring band concert.

Students must be picked up promptly at 4:00 PM. GIRL SCOUTS OF CENTRAL INDIANA Girl Scouts of Central Indiana has a six week program with meetings located in the art room of South Ripley Elementary.

Meeting dates at SRES are as follows: November 27, December 4, 11, 18 and January 8 and 15. All meeting times are from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM.

3 GR. 5-6 SHOW CHOIR Any fifth and sixth grade girl or boy who likes to sing, dance, and perform should sign up for show choir. Students will practice most Thursdays after school until 4:00 PM. The practice schedule will be sent home. The first practice is Thursday, October 18 in the SRES music room. The show choir will perform the National Anthem at two Varsity basketball games and will sing and dance at the SRES Spring band concert. The cost to participate will be the price of a t-shirt to wear to performances. No money is due at this time. Practices are as follows: October 18, and 25, November 1, 8, 15, & 29, and December 6. GIRLS ON THE RUN Girls on the Run fall season for grades 3-5 will continue meeting weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays until November 15, The fall K will be held on Saturday, November 17, beginning at 10:00 AM at the Knights Of Columbus in Batesville. PTO FUNDRAISER The PTO FUNDRAISER kicked off on Friday, September 28. The fundraiser will end on October 19, This year, grades PK-6 students are selling savory Select cookie dough and popcorn. All orders must be paid for at the time of purchase. Orders can be paid for by cash or check. Please make checks payable to SRES PTO. The anticipated delivery date is on Thursday, November 8. Orders must be picked up on that day between 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM. We do not have room to store items that need refrigerated. PTO uses proceeds from the fundraiser for school projects and classroom field trips. Please call the the SRES office at with any questions. SRES TRULY APPRECIATES YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT! GOOD NEWS CLUB GR. 1-6 Good News Club will begin meeting after school on Mondays until 4:30 PM on the following dates: Monday, October 15, 22, 29 and November 5, 12, 19. SRES students raised $ to donate to Riley Hospital! A HUGE SHOUT OUT to Madison Webster, who had the thoughtful idea of raising money for children in need. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAYS TYSON ACTIVITY CENTER YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE GRADES 1-6 Girls/Boys in grades 1-6 may sign up for a basketball league at Tyson Activity Center. Forms are available in the classroom and the SRES office. The cost is $40.00 per player and $80.00 per family maximum. League games begin the weekend of November 3, Registration/payment is due by September 14. All registrations after the deadline will be placed on a waiting list only. Evening practices start in October. Practice days will depend on the coaches schedule. Games are scheduled for November 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 25, and December 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16. All games are played at TAC. Checks should be made payable to: Tyson Activity Center. You may mail your registration form to Tyson Activity Center, 378 E CR 300 S, Versailles, IN or bring to the SRES office. On this day, the students will continue their learning at home. Please make plans for childcare for Wednesday, November 7th. School will be closed for students on this day. Teachers will work at school, digitally delivering lessons to your child. Please also make sure your students have their devices with them on this day so that they can complete their work. Practice e-learning Days: Wednesday, November 7th SCHOOL PICTURE RETAKES OCTOBER 26 School picture retakes are on Friday, October 26. All new students (since August 17) will have their picture taken. Also, any student who was absent or unable to order a package on August 17 may have their picture taken. If those students would like to purchase a picture, there will be order forms in the office that need to be filled out and returned on October 26. Any student who did not like his/her picture may have it retaken, too. Students need to return their original picture package in order to get retakes. If you have any questions about the retake pictures, please call the SRES office at

In celebration of National School Lunch Week, we are inviting parents to eat a school lunch with their children. We will be highlighting our nutritious school lunches, giving parents a taste of what the students eat every day. We ask that parents do not bring food in from area restaurants during school lunch days. Parents should park in the side parking lot. Grades KG - 6 will have lunch from 12:15-12:45 PM. PK will have lunch from 10:45-11:15 PM Adult lunch is $3.30 and may be paid in the office prior to eating.
