Student Teaching (Spring 2017) Deadlines The following will be due on or before October 17, 2016 *Application to Student Teach. 6 6 P A G E 6 March of Dimes On Sunday, September 11, 2016, four PBL members and 2 advisers attended the annual March of Dimes walk in Hazard, KY. At the walk PBL donated $ that was raised for their 2016 campaign.

7 7 P A G E 7 Garfield Accepts New Home By: R.L. Smith-Daugherty Garfield, the fluffy orange cat who brought joy to faculty, staff and students has found a new home in Hardin County. He has recently been adopted by Dr. Rhonda Smith-Daugherty and Dr. Leo Daugherty and now lives near Fort Knox. Garfield made the four and half hour voyage surprisingly well. Riding shotgun in his cardboard box, he occasionally inquired Where are we? and Are we there yet? Upon reaching Western Kentucky, Garfield was pleasantly surprised by the abundant sunshine, fresh air and clean water. He is warming up to his new siblings. When he first met his new brothers and sisters, Garfield reacted by growling and spitting in their general direction. When asked what they thought about their new brother, the other cats replied, the more the merrier, and went about their business. We like him, agreed Mrs. Rommel and Ginger Fluff, he is a yellow cat like us. Garfield has claimed Dr. Smith s home office and the couple s king sized bed as his own. He has been spending time helping Dr. Daugherty make power point presentations. Garfield has been seen cuddling with Ginger Fluff but, their relationship status is unclear at this time. Stay tuned for more stories about your favorite feline.
