1 Fulton County Community Center The Golden Chronicle sponsored this month by First Federal Savings Bank MAY 2017 Hello Everyone! Its May and summer is right around the corner. I cannot wait to enjoy the fresh vegetables out of the garden. Its time to watch the flowers grow and the sun shine. I find that although it does get really hot, I enjoy summer most. Just like everything else it will fly by before we know it. What s your plans for the summer? I will be doing some bike riding with my granddaughter, and planting flowers, taking a few boat rides, and working outside to make things look nice. I also, love to cook out and just take it easy. I hope that each of you get outside for some fresh air and sunshine. It will lift your spirits and make you feel so much better. The grass is really green and people are mowing already. I love the smell of freshly cut grass. Lots of smells remind us of certain time of our lives and special people. I even think some people are finding mushrooms already. Do you like to eat wild mushrooms? I love them and would eat a skillet full if I could. But I don t like to hunt them. I leave that up to friends and family who have a good eye for spotting them. Don t forget our Round Table this month and Senior Games are May 18th. Also, Mothers Day is May 14th and what a special day to celebrate the love and appreciation of our mothers. I hope everyone has a wonderful month. Take Care, Georgia Aging with Humor I've sure gotten old! I've had two bypass surgeries, a hip replacement, new knees, fought prostate cancer and diabetes. I'm half blind, can't hear anything quieter than a jet engine, take 40 different medications that make me dizzy, winded, and subject to blackouts. Have bouts with dementia. Have poor circulation; hardly feel my hands and feet anymore. Can't remember if I'm 85 or 92. Have lost all my friends. But, thank God, I still have my driver's license. Remember: You don't stop laughing because you grow old, You grow old because you stop laughing.
