3 Welcome! We are excited to provide you with our catering menus to assist in planning your event. All menus are only a suggestion and represent some of our most popular selections. We continually develop menus and events incorporating regional preferences and cuttingedge culinary trends. Our commitment is to customize menus for your occasion. From a formal dinner to meeting break refreshments, we will offer creative menus, elegant presentations, and thoughtful service to provide your guests with a memorable dining experience.

4 Aladdin Catering is pleased to be the sole, complete food service provider on the campus of Bethel College. This brochure contains a collection of culinary trends ranging from simple to elegant. Our goal is to work with you to meet your expectations of delicious food and exceptional service so that you and your guests are satisfied. However, this is only a guide. Please don t hesitate to let your catering professional know if you would like something not listed, and he or she will be happy to customize your event. GENERAL CATERING INFORMATION Campus Food Policy Aladdin is to provide all food needed on Bethel s campus for any event that involves more than 2 people and is conducted in a public area. Department potlucks are the only exception and must be held in that department s area. If you would like food from another supplier, you still must order through the food service office. Food purchased from approved vendors such as Panera, Krispy Kreme, Domino s, etc. will receive a 20% surcharge on the cost of the food. Any exception to this policy must be approved by lan Corne, the Food Service Director, and you must be given a waiver for your event. Please read the following information carefully to ensure clear communication in our working relationship throughout the planning and execution of your event. We kindly ask that you submit your catering order two weeks prior to your event to allow ample time to arrange for appropriate staffing, linen/china orders, and the highest quality food product. We realize that special events may arise unexpectedly, and we will do our best to provide you service on short notice. IF YOU DO NOT BOOK YOUR EVENT AT LEAST TWO BUSINESS DAYS IN ADVANCE YOU MAY BE CHARGED A $25.00 LATE BOOKING FEE. PRICING AND AVAILABILITY MAY NOT BE GUARANTEED FOR LATE BOOKINGS. Phone Fax corne@aladdinfood.com ORDER CONFIRMATIONS Upon receipt of your order, Aladdin catering will confirm your selection via fax or . Please review the confirmation thoroughly. If you are satisfied with your order, sign it, and fax it to or a confirmation that the details are correct before the event is executed or notify your catering representative of any necessary changes. GUARANTEES CATERING Guide All guarantees of guest counts and times are required four business days (Monday-Friday) before the event. If you do not contact us with the final count four business days prior to the event, we will prepare for the estimated count from the signed confirmation and charge accordingly. Please confirm your guest count with Aladdin Food Management at Any changes made within two business days will be charged an additional $25.

5 CANCELLATIONS There is no charge for cancellations made at least four business days before the event. Cancellations made fewer than four days prior to the event may incur partial charges. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event will incur 100% of the charges. Food and beverages must be provided by Aladdin Food Management at all catered events on Bethel College Campus. The only exceptions are wedding cakes, special mints, and other similar specialty items approved by the food service director. ADDITIONAL CHARGES Two hours of service labor are budgeted into the cost of your event. If your event is longer than two hours, additional charges will be billed per server, per hour to cover the additional costs. Saturday and Sunday caterings may require additional labor charges. Salads pre-set on guest tables for a meal served buffet style will incur an addition $1.00 per guest charge. PAYMENT For university groups, an approved contract with account information must be on file before your event can be executed. For non-university groups, a 50% deposit is due at contract signing. The total balance must be paid 2 days prior to your event. FOOD SAFETY Food safety is a high priority for Aladdin Food Management. Therefore, we reserve the right to deny removal of leftover food by the customer. Please do not remove, dispose or repackage remaining items. To ensure safety and sanitation standards are upheld for our customers and guests, an Aladdin representative will remove all items in a timely manner. SECURITY CATERING Guide Aladdin Food Management catering is not liable for any equipment, supplies, or personal belongings left in public areas. We look forward to serving you and making your experience with Aladdin Catering Services a pleasant one. Aladdin Catering will be happy to create a customized menu for you event. Please contact the Aladdin Catering office for details. Contact your catering representative at or at corne@aladdinfood.com to make all of your arrangements. Once your event is planned your will receive a confirmation sheet that will give you contract information regarding deposits, when payment is due, time limits, sales tax, and cancellation policies. If you do not receive this information, please ask your catering representative.

6 Event Checklist Choose the date, time, and location of the event. Check availability of desired locations and confirm reservations. Choose and reserve rain location if event is outdoors. Determine the food budget. Will the event be formal or informal? Determine what type of service best suits your needs (buffet, served, reception, picnic). Determine the guest list. Choose and order invitations. Address and mail invitations at least two weeks prior to the event. Are your guests familiar with the locations? Do you need maps? Choose color scheme. Make arrangements for decorations (flowers, candles, etc.). Will you need a podium or any audiovisual equipment? Will there be a head table? Number of guests? Table arrangements for other guests? Number of guests per table? Will you use place cards or reserved seating? Will you use name tags? Arranged for someone to prepare name tags or set place cards. Do you need a special table for awards or gifts? Where should it be located? Have you arranged for someone to greet the guests? How much time have you allowed for the meal? For the program? Do you plan to say a blessing? Have you asked someone to be responsible? Will the blessing be before or after the meal? Choose a menu two weeks in advance. Choose linen colors. Confirm table arrangements and final guest count with Catering Services three business days prior to the event. Who is financially responsible for the event? Determine all charges involved. 1

7 Planning Information Aladdin Food Management is pleased to present our catering guide. We offer services ranging from coffee breaks and lunch deliveries to formal served dinners for several hundred guests. We are ready to assist with every detail to ensure the success of your event. We do not book room facilities on our campus, but you may reserve these rooms through Bethel College at Types of Services Served Meal on China - This is served on china, with linens, and service staff. The first course (salad) is pre-set, the entrée is served, and the dessert is typically pre-set. Buffet Meal on China This meal is on china, with linens, and service staff. Buffet does not mean all you can eat, but you will have enough for you guaranteed number. Picnic on plastic/paper - Served buffet style on paper/plastic, usually dropped off and set-up. Your buffet line will be skirted and you may request a buffet centerpiece. You must make arrangements with the catering coordinator on drop off or pick up times and locations. Beverages and desserts are also served buffet style, so you may need to make arrangements for tables for these items as well. Reception Please see page 16 for a matrix sheet of services per type of reception. Menu Planning Your menu, room set up (head table) and any special requests (flowers, candles, special dietary requirements) for full service events should be arranged at least 10 days prior to the event. If you prefer menu choices not included in this guide, we will be happy to customize a menu to suit your needs. We plan two hours for your event from start to finish. When planning your meal and program, remember when your program begins, the servers will leave the dining area to avoid noise and distractions that may disturb your guests.
