A taká menšia zaujímavosť Idaho je producentom tretiny všetkých zemiakov vypestovaných v USA a majú aj vlastné Idaho Potato Museum. Ak budeš mať voľno, budeš môcť využívať napr. bazén, golfové ihrisko, lanovku a pod. (presné podmienky používania ti upresní zamestnávateľ). It all began in 1935, when Count Felix Schaffgtosch, under the hire of Union Pacific Railroad chairman Averell Harriman, set out in search of the perfect spot for a grand American resort. Harriman was determined to build Sun Valley into a resort worthy of its breathtaking and majestic setting. It is not enough to build a hotel and then mark with flags and signs the things you propose to do in time to come. Harriman was once noted as saying, When you get to Sun Valley, your eyes should pop open. There isn't a single thing that I could wish for that hasn't been provided. Part of what he wished for included a timeless lodge complete with glass-enclosed pools, haute cuisine, impeccable service and nightly orchestra performances. After just seven months of construction, Sun Valley opened to the public in the winter of The resort was an instant success. Local wildlife was seen sharing the mountain with European nobility and Hollywood royalty. Clark Gable, Errol Flynn, Claudette Colbert, Bing Crosby and Gary Cooper were all regulars in the lodge, while world champions including Don and Gretchen Fraser, Gracie Carter Lindley and Andy Hennig used the mountain for Olympic training. 4 Job Types : Housekeeper, Busser, Dishwasher, Spa Attendant Job Descriptions: Most available positions are in Food and Beverage: This consists of helping to set up, break down, organize and clean all areas of food production; also food product-handling, service, food preparation and storage. You may help set up for conventions and banquets and help set-up/tear-down meeting rooms, move tables, chairs, bus tables, food run and any other chores related to this customer service business. Note: You must be flexible and prepared to do any of these jobs for the entire summer. Although you will be filling support staff positions, English will still be a fundamental part of your job and so you are encouraged to practice your speaking and comprehension skills as best you can before arriving. Number of Positions : 70 English Requirement : Strong English Work Dates : Arrival Dates June 1st to June 17th End Dates September 7 th to September 30th Minimum work commitment of 3 months and participant must work until at least Labor Day (September 4, 2017) Male/Female, Couples, Friend Groups : Roughly 35M/35F. Couples are OK, but will only be housed together if they are married. Friend groups OK. Salary : Housekeeper - $9.25 per hour Houseman - $9.25 per hour Busser $4.00 per hour plus tips Dishwasher $9.00 per hour Spa Attendant - $9.00 per hour Spa Front Desk - $9.00 per hour Set Ups - $10.00 per hour Lift Operator - $10.00 per hour Work Hours : 32 hours per week. There may be opportunities for overtime during the busier parts of the summer season. Housing Information : Housing is dormitory-style and will be provided by your employer at a cost of $77 bi-weekly ($38.50 per week) for a triple room, and $91 bi-weekly ($45.50 per week) for a double room. You will be responsible for your own meals. You will probably be sharing your bedroom with 1 or 2 other students, for a total of up to 3 students per room. Students will share the bathroom. Couples will not be guaranteed the opportunity to room together unless they are married2. A kitchen is not provided. Most of the dorms have a laundry facility which you can use for free. Housing will be located across the street in walking distance from the resort. The employee cafeteria serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It opens early and closes fairly late to accommodate employees' schedules and the average cost of a meal is $3.75. There will be a $150 deposit, which is refundable at the end of the season if the room is not damaged and check out procedures are

5 followed. Food and Beverage employees - employees at resort work locations earn a credit of $3.75 on days worked to be used in the employee cafeteria. Those at work locations at the mountains receive one free meal at their work location on days worked. Uniform: You should always maintain a neat and clean appearance on the job. If hair is long, it must be pulled back and all body piercings must be removed for work. Males hair should not be longer than collar length, and facial hair is not allowed at work except for a well-trimmed mustache. Food and beverage employees will be required to bring a pair of comfortable, black shoes. Uniforms are provided at no cost to the employee as long as they are returned at the end of the season. Drug Testing: Safety sensitive positions will need to pass a pre-employment drug test and all employees are subject to random drug tests. Area Description : Sun Valley is an affluent resort community in central Idaho adjacent to the city of Ketchum in Blaine County. Tourists from around the world enjoy its skiing, hiking, ice skating, trail riding, tennis and more. The population was 1,427 at the 2000 census. Very few of its residents stay there year-round, with many having primary homes in Boise, Twin Falls or out-of-state (with many from California and Washington). The elevation of Sun Valley (at the Lodge) is 5920 feet (1804 m) above sea level. The term Sun Valley is also used more generally to speak of the region surrounding the city, including the neighboring city of Ketchum and the valley area winding south to Hailey. The region has been home to the rich, famous, and powerful, including Mats Wilander, Walter Annenberg, Ernest Hemingway, Teresa Heinz Kerry, Demi Moore, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
