3 ORGANISER S MESSAGE Welcome to the review of the 2nd edition of Saudi Arabia s only exhibition dedicated to the Food and Beverage industry Foodex Saudi Organised by Reed Sunaidi Exhibitions and inaugurated by HH Prince Khalid Bin Saud Bin Turki, Deputy Chairman of Technical Affairs Presidency of Meteorology and Environment, Foodex Saudi 2014 took place at Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events from 17th to 20th November Foodex Saudi 2014 presented 138 exhibitors and over two hundred international brands from 29 countries, including,,,, Thailand and many more. This year s edition welcomed more than 5000 unique visitors and 78 hosted buyers from 's HORECA, food retailing, food service, grocery, distribution sectors, who attended over 300 business meetings onsite. This year's exhibition featured Salon Culinaire, a professional chef s competition endorsed by World Association of Chef Societies and Saudi Arabian Chefs Association, which showcased the skills and talents of competing chefs from several leading hotels and restaurants. The Saudi Food Forum 2014 brought in international delegates together with food industry leaders, and included exclusive discussions and live demonstrations from the leading brands, retailers, and food institutions. 02

The show gained a stronger image in the market and and we noticed the quality of the visitors was significantly improved. Most of our stand visitors were either potential clients or potential partners, and that's the crucial factor for any exhibitor. We find it important for the company to support more trade initiatives like the ones offered at Foodex Saudi, to make it even better and bigger for the country and the region we are working in. TV Campaign MBC1 provided every day coverage of the Foodex Saudi Good morning Arabs, from MBC TV set up every day interviews at the exhibition to broadcast live on a daily basis from 11am-1pm, and then record footage each day from 6pm 10pm, which they broadcasted the following day together with the live footage. Sponsors, Exhibitors and Visitors were interviewed. The Chef competition, together with the Saudi Food Forum also received an extensive coverage during the daily report. The B4U Aflam TV channel supported the Foodex Saudi marketing campaign via 40 advertising slots. FM Radio The Foodex Saudi 2014 visitor campaign included 35 advertising slots on MIX FM with an estimated reach of 2,000,000 listeners. SMS Campaign 500,000 SMS were sent to Foodex Saudi 2014 mobile data across.
