1 Summer It has been a big year for ASCA, and in particular we are proud that we can now claim to be truly national with our 3400 member schools spanning all states and territories, and with members reporting $millions of savings in their canteens by using ASCA suppliers. Due to the support from you, our member schools, in buying from ASCA preferred suppliers, we have been able to donate even more money to our charities all of which support the education of disadvantaged children. Importantly we are continuing to find ways to help members. This year Celebrate Canteen Week became a national event where we thank staff and volunteers for all the work they do in canteens, and promote the canteen to the school community including plenty of media coverage. We also introduced ASCAplus for staff and volunteers so you can personally enjoy savings from ASCA suppliers such as The Good Guys. Next year we will be introducing a range of new suppliers to give you more variety and choice in the canteen and there will be more new announcements. Claim your rewards You can claim a reward through the Better Choices website at any time between 26 August 2014 and 29 November 2014 which is the end of the final claiming period. Any points not claimed before the close of the final claiming period will be forfeited. 7 ASCA BETTER BUYING POWER FOR SCHOOLS Celebrate Canteen Week 2014 was a huge success; 500 schools from across the country decorated their canteen, added some spice to their menu, and either took part in the ASCA competitions, or came up with their own; increasing their canteen sales in the process. Proudly brought to you by: Bethany Lutheran Primary School in Raceview QLD won the Most Engaged competition, which saw Renee and her team win a $1500 The Good Guys voucher for her canteen. Renee ran additional competitions, hosted a morning tea for her volunteers, handed out certificates, did meal deals, dressed up...and so much more.
