Christmas! I m ready to say how can it be upon us again, however I think this year has been a little slower than last which seemed to whizz past. I wonder if we will have a white Christmas?

2 Christmas! I m ready to say how can it be upon us again, however I think this year has been a little slower than last which seemed to whizz past. I wonder if we will have a white Christmas? Last year much to Matthew s disappointment (and ours!) we never managed a snowman or a sledging session! You can t beat good old fashioned fun no matter what age! Snowy days always bring back happy memories of my younger days when we farmed. John, my brother, and I would spend hours outside pulling each other all over the place until we were blue with cold or Mum called us in for tea. My fondest memory was one winter s afternoon when snow had fallen perfect for snowballs, it was milking time so darkness had descended. My dad was busy tending to the cows in the parlour; little did he know that his two lovelies were outside creating a mountain of ammunition. We worked really quickly with the help of the outside lights and waited, hands totally frozen waiting for him to come out. Eventually the door of the parlour slid open and we let rip! Dad tried his best to keep up whilst laughing and calling us little monkeys! Our pile depleted very quickly with adrenalin flying them through the air and victory in mind, and at the same time unstoppable giggles and dads snowballs slowing us down. I can still see him now in his soaked green overalls... Another memory I will quickly share which is dear to my heart and crosses my mind on Christmas Eve, are the bells of Santa s sleigh, or so I thought! Every Christmas Eve Dad would go and stand in the parlour which echoed beautifully and shake an old horse s bell necklace. Tucked up in bed I remember thinking oh no I m awake and I can hear the reindeers coming! Quick shut your eyes or you won t get any presents! We still have the necklace and the memories to treasure. Make sure you make memories this Christmas with your family and friends, trust me, it s not what s under the tree that really matters, it s the time and laughs you share that you will look back on just like I have done in the years to come. Well it s time to reveal the brochure of 2017! As ever we have spent some time creating a Christmas menu for you that will entertain, please the palette and most importantly give you a break from slaving in the kitchen! Sounds good? The biggest change since last year is our Chocolate range. We have some new bespoke chocolate boxes in both burnt orange and purple with your favourite pattern mock crocodile skin. Look out for our new chocolates that have been handmade on the premises. Must mention my favourites; orange hazelnut caramels and the Coffee and Bailey s ganache. Seriously, two boxes to hide and bring out when no one s around. Chocoholics out there know what I mean! By popular demand Florentines have been added to the range and I am partial to those caramelised chocolate nuts. Not sure if there is enough space in my secret draw this year! New location required! Anyway it s time to go and let you read on. Before I dash off though to get my sledge ready for that pile of snow that s coming, I would like to say how grateful we are for your custom, smiles and laughter. A small independent business like us is reliant on loyal customers whom we never take for granted. Have a wonderful Christmas and don t forget to create those real memories...
