An empanada is a stuffed pastry that can be either baked (lightly brushed with an egg coat) or fried. They are typically large enough to be a meal, but can also be made into a small appetizer-size version. The empanada can be used for various plating s many chefs use our empanadas either as an entrée, main meal or canapé. The empanada is easy to cook, convenient and delicious to eat. 8 Sauces Bolognese Bolognese sauce, known in Italian as ragù alla bolognese, is a meat-based sauce originating from Bologna, Italy. In Italian cuisine, it is customarily used to dress "tagliatelle al ragù" and to prepare "lasagne alla bolognese". In the absence of tagliatelle, it can also be used with other broad, flat pasta shapes, such as spaghetti, pappardelle or fettuccine, or with short tube shapes, such as rigatoni or penne. Boscaiola This sauce is made from slices of mushrooms slowly simmered with fresh garlic, onions, shallots, bacon rashers and black pepper. This sauce is mainly used with Fettucine, Rigati, Rigatoni, penne and pappardelle. This sauce is rich in flavor and has a great texture. Cream & Mushroom This sauce is made from slices of mushrooms slowly simmered with fresh garlic, onions, shallots, and black pepper. This sauce is mainly used with both plain and filled pasta.
