3 LEGAL REQUIREMENTS & DOCUMENTATION Arrangements can be made by your Tour Operator s Representative. If you have booked your package direct with the Hotel, our Wedding Coordinator will be glad to assist you. In order to get married in Cyprus, you will need the following ORIGINAL documents. documents need to be either in Greek or English: CIVIL WEDDINGS: Minimum Stay: 3 working days, the time required for preparing the paperwork. Minimum Age: 18 Valid Passports with at least 3 months expiry date after the date of travel. Birth Certificates - original certified documents. Statutory Declaration (also known as Sworn Affidavit or Certificate of No Impediment) signed by a solicitor or notary public confirming your marital status, i.e. divorced, widowed or single, and that you are free to marry. This document must be dated, signed and stamped by the issuing solicitor or notary public. This document is best obtained between 8-12 weeks prior to the wedding date. Copies of Two Witnesses Passports (copy of photo page). Decree Absolute (in case of divorce). Death Certificate (in case of widow or widower). Adoption Certificate (in case of adoption). Deed Poll Certificate (in case of a change of name) must be stamped by a solicitor. For all Civil Weddings the Wedding License Fee applies, cost plus an additional call out fee for the Registrar to come to the hotel to perform the wedding. ANGLICAN CEREMONIES: Documents required as above including Baptism Certificate from either the bride or groom. Prior to the wedding, you will need to meet with the Priest who will be marrying you. License Fee: for Weddings and for Blessings or Renewal of Vows. CATHOLIC CEREMONIES: Documents required as above. Catholic ceremonies can only be performed if the bride and groom have not been previously married. Upon your decision to marry, you must contact your local parish priest of your intent to marry overseas. He will then need to view the Birth Certificates of both parties. Your local priest will forward all necessary documents to the priest in Cyprus (we can supply relevant contact details). Catholic weddings in Cyprus can only be performed at the Larnaca District Office and must be preceded by a Civil Ceremony. DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS Should you wish to book your wedding reception and dinner, a deposit is not required. The Balance of your wedding will have to be settled the day after the completion of the event, prior to your departure from the Hotel. The 3 Adams Beach Hotel

4 WEDDING BENEFITS ONE WEDDING PER DAY The hotel commits to offer its exclusive services by organizing only one wedding per day. UPON ARRIVAL AT THE HOTEL: Complementary meal upgrade for the wedding couple for the entire stay (ie free upgrade from Bed & Breakfast to Half Board or from Half Board to Full Board) Complementary room upgrade (subject to availability). Upgrade to one of our Honeymoon Suites for the wedding night free of charge if at least another 5 rooms are booked and arrive together with the wedding couple Sparkling Wine and Mineral Water in the room Basket of Fresh Fruit Flowers WEDDING DAY: Complimentary 1-tier wedding cake for the cocktail reception WEDDING NIGHT: Honeymoon Suite: per night, or If you - and your party - book additional rooms at the Adams Beach Hotel equivalent to at least 70 room nights (for example 5 double rooms for 14 nights each or 7 double rooms for 10 nights each etc.) the wedding couple will be entitled to 7 nights free accommodation (which can be used for a future holiday during the months of April or October). 5 VENUES FOR WEDDING BLESSINGS & CIVIL CEREMONIES ST. ANDREW S CHAPEL AT THE ADAMS BEACH HOTEL Our St. Andrew s Chapel, overlooking the sea, is the perfect venue for an Anglican Wedding Ceremony, a Blessing or Renewal of Vows. Our Chapel holds around 20 people inside so it is ideal for an intimate gathering, or should you be expecting a larger party, we are happy to arrange more seating outside in the small courtyard around the chapel for your guests so they are able to share in your special moment as you exchange your vows. GAZEBO BY THE SEA Our Gazebo by the sea is ideal for civil ceremonies or civil blessings. With the natural backdrop of the azure waters of Nissi Bay and the cooling spray of the gentle waves, this is the perfect location for non-religious services. 5 Adams Beach Hotel

6 GARDEN VENUE Our Garden venue is full of colourful and typical Mediterranean shrubs, palms and flowers. This secluded area sets the perfect tone for our Anglican or civil wedding ceremony, blessing or renewal of vows. COCKTAIL RECEPTION Should you wish to hold a cocktail reception post-wedding or blessing, we can arrange drinks with a tailor-made selection of canapés and snacks at our Victory Pub venue. We have a wide selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. VICTORY PUB Our Wedding Coordinator is available to help you plan your cocktail reception and your particular requirements regarding decorations for your chosen function venue, including balloons, floral arrangements or any other ideas you may have which you would like to discuss with us. We are happy to forward on to you a price list of drinks and canapés to help you plan, upon request. 7 OUR RESTAURANTS Depending on the time of day you choose for your wedding or blessing, you may decide to have a wedding lunch or dinner. VITAMINAS For an Outdoor venue for a post wedding lunch, we can offer the Vitaminas Pool Bar/Restaurant where we can dress tables to your requirements. There is a choice of set menus or you may wish to create a menu designed to your own taste. DIONYSSOS The Dionyssos Restaurant is another outdoor venue. There is the choice of dining from the daily themed buffet or you may choose to create a menu designed to your own tastes from our selection of set dinner menus. SOCRATES BALLROOM If you prefer an indoor venue for your wedding reception, the Socrates Ballroom is an ideal choice, where you can choose from various popular buffet menus. 8 VALA The Vala Tavern is a popular venue for a wedding reception in the evening. This can be reserved exclusively for a wedding party (minimum 30 people). This venue is located right on the Hotel s private beach with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. Although there is no venue hire charge in order to reserve the Vala Tavern, we do ask for a deposit which is deducted from the final cost of the evening. 22 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 1. Do guests not staying at the hotel have to pay for a day pass? No, all guests are welcome at the wedding on your Special day, regardless of the length of time they will spend in the hotel. They will be able to purchase beverages and paying for it in cash. 2. It is possible to book my reception in advance? It is advisable to let us know the choice of your venue in advance. To reserve the Vala Tavern, we will need a deposit. This deposit will be deducted from your total wedding bill. 3. Can I bring my own music for the wedding ceremony? Yes, it is possible to play the music of your choice at the wedding ceremony. All three ceremony venues offer a CD music system, so you can choose a song to walk down the aisle, one whilst signing the marriage certificate and another one whilst walking up the aisle. You can also bring your chosen song for the first dance of the evening. 4. Is there a room provided for the groom to get ready? We do offer a Honeymoon Suite complementary on the wedding day under certain conditions. In this case, the bride could get ready in the honeymoon suite and the groom in the room booked. In case this offer doesn t apply to you, there are courtesy rooms very well equipped that could be used on the day. 5. Does the hotel offer steaming service for the wedding dress? We offer a professional steaming service for the wedding dress, the cost is approx We need at least 48 hours to arrange this, otherwise there will be an express service offered at an extra cost. 6. Can I bring my own favors to the wedding? You can, we do understand that this is very personal to you. All these arrangements will be discussed upon your arrival at the hotel with the Wedding Co-ordinator. 7. Can I prepare my own table plan, seating arrangement for the wedding reception? We advise you to discuss this prior to your arrival with the Wedding Co-ordinator, who will be happy to advise you. Different venues offer a different layout of table arrangements. We will be glad to assist. 8. How and when do we pay for the wedding bill? The Wedding bill needs to be settled on the day after the wedding at the latest.
