A little bit of history Tomato Farm S.p.A., located in Pozzolo Formigaro (AL) and owned today by Gavio Group, was born in 2006 by the will of a well known local tomatoes producer.

2 A little bit of history Tomato Farm S.p.A., located in Pozzolo Formigaro (AL) and owned today by Gavio Group, was born in 2006 by the will of a well known local tomatoes producer. He had always given his tomatoes to many companies, spread in many different areas of Italy, because of the lack of processing factories in Piemonte. The born of Tomato Farm made it possible to enhance the productive and qualitative characteristics of the area: - Professonal agricolture; - Lands in rotation; - Avaliability of water in order to irrigate ; - The possibility of transforming fresh row materials from a maximum distance of 50 km from the processing building. Tomato Farm has recently invested in innovation and in machinery improvement; this has made T.F. one of the most modern and technological Italian company.

4 Our «filiera» 1. PLANTING THE SEEDS IN THE GREENHOUSE: varietal selection and transplant program according to the withdrawal project agreed with the Farmers Organizations; 2. FROM THE SEEDS TO THE SEEDLINGS: seedlings are delivered to the farms in order to have them planted in the fields; 3. TANSPLANT: our technicians, together with the Farmers Organizations, offer their advices to the farmers during the hole transplanting phase, in order to ensure the proper grounding; 4. CULTIVATION: the entire process of cultivation and disciplinary application is technically controlled by Tomato Farm, in collaboration with the Farmers Organizations; 5. HARVESTING: the harvesting and the conferment to the factory are agreed with the Farmers Organizations and with the farmers themselves, according to the processing programs weekly developed by Tomato Farm; 6. PACKAGING: it takes place directly in line: the sterilized product is mechanically inserted into aseptic bags, of the size required by the customer; 7. TRADING: Tomato Farm mainly provides companies, in Italy and abroad (50% Italian market, 50% foreign market).

6 Our Quality Assurance Tomato Farm is equipped with an internal self-control system that is based on the HACCP method and which aims at guaranteeing and improving the microbiological, physical and chemical characteristics of its products. We use an on-line corporate management system in line with international standards. The entire process is certified in agreement with UNI EN ISO 9001, the products are in line with the standards required by the various certification systems and traceability is guaranteed in agreement with UNI EN ISO Our company also guarantees close control of the production process: every hour, our internal laboratory analyzes the chemical, microbiological and organoleptic parameters of the samples taken directly from the production line.

Tritordeum is the cereal born from Wild Barley (Hordeum Chilense) and Durum Wheat (Triticum Durum) through the ancient and natural crossing technique.
