2 Clean India Movement PYP-IBDP RBKIA participated in a mega event contributing towards " Clean India Movement" Bisleri had taken an initiative of collecting the empty plastic bottles (any) for recycling to contribute towards a clean environment. This drive was for a month and they collected all the bottles from us. About 100 schools are participated in this drive and 10 schools with maximum collection got recognition and awards from Bisleri. Our students enthusiastically collected used empty plastic bottles and cans for which they have procured two participation certificates, one of Guinness world record and the other of Limca book of records. 3 Achievement & Appreciation PYP In The 29th Nrityanjali Fest Inter School Competitions held on 20th Dec Uchit Tukaria from Grade 3A has won consolation prize in Hindi recitation. Under 8 boys soccer (B) team won their qualifying round against Don Bosco - Borivali. 3

4 W e are glad to share Yashas Chattree's achievement with you and entire RBK family. Yashas is a student of grade 3B. One of his short movies Start Kidding" that he had created more than an year ago has been screened at an PYP International film festival - SIFFCY (Smile International Film Festival for Children & Youth) - on 24th December 2015, at Siri Fort Auditorium New Delhi. Yashas had directed and acted in the movie. The movie "Start Kidding" tells the story of a small innocent kid belonging to the upper strata of society. Rejected and feeling lonely he chooses a street child as his friend and happily decides to play with him, not bothered about the glass wall - symbolizing social divide - between them. This would not have been possible without the wonderful direction from his teachers. 5 Ten Terrorists Month MYP They put an entire country to shame Just when it rose to fame Though the fire was doused Our heart is still burning with flame String of hatred will not be cut Our gates will not be shut Those ten terrorists took the world by shock In a moonlit wooden boat they arrived On the wanted list the masterminds appeared Now, they still roam free Everywhere they re still feared Those ten terrorists put us to shame Why shouldn t we do the same? 6 Vishwa Hindi Divas IBDP T oday the DP students took part in a Vishwa Hindi Divas event. The programme featured poetry recitations and Aap ki adalat by Rajat Sharma. The event started off with an introduction of what Vishwa Hindi Divas is and why is it celebrated followed by the poetry recitation by the Hindi students. The poems were based on social issues like child labour and corruption. The MYP and DP Coordinators graced the event with was also attended by DP teachers. Everyone enjoyed the proceedings and the recitation done by the students was appreciated. After the poetry recitation had ended Aap ki adalat took place and the students played the role of Rajat Sharma, Salman Khan and the judge. This event was very entertaining. After this a vote of thanks was given to all the teachers who took time to attend our event. International Hindi Divas is very important and the DP students are glad they got a chance to make a contribution. - Roshani Chadha IBDP 2 6
