Rich creamy flavours with a lively mousse which awakens the palate. A good combination of fruitiness and yeastiness. The palate has both intensity and delicacy. Crisp with a lingering finish.. Sterhuis Blanc de Blanc MCC Stellenbosch - R The palate is alive with fine bubbles caressing the palate. The nose follows through on the mouth with a refreshingly dry citrus, butterscotch, minerally finish.

2 White Wine SAUVIGNON BLANC Fortress Hill - Stellenbosch - R75.00 Aromas of green fig and passion fruit. On the palate the wine is light and fresh with a lingering fruity aftertaste. Altydgedacht Durbanville - R Due to differential picking, the grapes imparted a whole spectrum of flavours to the wine, ranging from green pepper and green figs to passion fruit and guava. Journey s End - Somerset West - R The nose is upfront with hints off canned peas backed by some papaya and tropical flavours. The palate has a mineral core of yellow apple and a firm fresh acidity finish. Sumaridge - Walker Bay - R Striking purity of freshness with fig, green asparagus nose and tropical fruit notes. This is enveloped in an intense and weighty palate. Robertson Retreat Robertson - R This wine exhibits appealing aromas and flavours of ripe granadilla, pineapple, green apple and melon, with a touch of flintiness. The fine crisp natural acidity freshens the wine and adds structure. Black Oyster Catcher - Cape Peninsular - R A well balanced, cool climate Sauvignon Blanc with a forthcoming nose of gooseberry and capsicum, complemented by a full palate of minerality and ripe lingering after tones. Cape of Good Hope Altima Franschhoek - R Appealing tropical fig and pear aromas with granadilla and lemon zest adding brightness and vivacity. The fig, gooseberry, granadilla and lemon zest come though beautifully. Vibrant and lively with well integrated acidity. Constantia Glen Constantia - R Rich and textured with a vibrant intensity and a good mouth feel. The creamy richness with the citrus and yellow fruit flavours are beautifully balanced by the well-defined minerality. CHARDONNAY Excelsior Robertson - R95.00 Hints of peach, marmalade and orange blossom on the nose. Green apple fruit flavours on a full creamy palate. Only very lightly oaked. Glen Carlou Paarl - R This unwooded Chardonnay has been fermented and aged in specially designed egg shaped cement tanks. Vibrant tropical and citrus notes are highlighted in the flavours of the wine.

3 Creation - Walker Bay - R Fruity and forthcoming yet refined on the nose with fragrant white peach aromas mingling with a rich, creamy character. These follow well onto the Palate and combine seamlessly with crisp minerality and bouncy, well-integrated natural acidity. CHENIN BLANC Rietvallei - Robertson - R80.00 This is a very fruity but dry Chenin Blanc expressing fresh citrus flavours together with lovely floral aromas of dried apple and musk sweets. Fort Simon Stellenbosch - R Tropical fruit punch, with hints of pineapple, quince, pear, guava and tea bush. A perfectly balanced wine with wood nuances, for a long lingering aftertaste. VIOGNIER Excelsior Robertson - R95.00 Subtle flavours of lemon and peaches linger on a complex palate. Full-bodied elegance makes this a wine of substance Creation - Walker Bay - R The invigorating, salty bouquet, reminiscent of the fresh sea breezes caressing the vineyards, is complemented by delightful hints of green fig. Fort Simon Stellenbosch - R Packed with typical aromas of apricot, peach, pineapple and pear. A perfectly balanced wine with soft wood aromas that compliment the flavours of this varietal. OTHER WHITE CULTIVARS Terra Del Capo Pinot Grigio Franschhoek - R Tangy light peach and golden apple aromas with a waft of stone fruit and light floral hints. The palate is equally light with nectarine and peach flavour. Lovely balance of acidity and rounded honey richness which lingers long. Pegasus Riesling - Stellenbosch - R Beautiful floral nose with roses and spice. Soft and fruity with an acidity that refreshes the palate. Altydgedacht Gewurtztraminer Durbanville - R One of the very few examples of a dry Gewürz in South Africa and very much the signature style of Altydgedacht. The nose is perfumed, with good expression of rose petals, Turkish delight and leechies. Usana Pinot Gris Stellenbosch - R Apple and pear flavours on the nose. The oak plays a minimal roll yet gives structure to the palate and the malolactic fermentation ensures a buttery richness and length on the palate. 4 The nose is intricate with waxy lemon rind, lanolin, crisp green apple and lemon grass to be found. Those same flavours make for a powerful, textured palate - thus a wine of substance. Lemon curd, sun-dried pineapple and mango richness with preserved lemon and spicy oak are apparent. Shannon Semillon Elgin - R Expresses a very distinctive musky nose combining ginger, quinine, lime zest, cardamom in a minerally and flinty style. The naturally fermented Semillon, matured on the lees, provides a fuller mouth feel and adds to the complexity of the wine. WHITE BLENDS Krone Chardonnay/Pinot Noir Tulbagh - R The Chardonnay component contributes crisp acidity and elegance whilst the Pinot Noir brings intensity and richness and delicate red berry fruit flavour. Combined in perfect proportions they create an appealing wine that remains balanced and refreshing Teddy Hall Jan Blanx Stellenbosch - R Tinned peas and melon nose, with fig and melons on the palate. Dry crisp wine and the refreshing zestiness on the finish is an enticement to take yet another sip... OFF DRY & SEMI SWEET WHITES De Krans Moscato Calitzdorp - R80.00 A full-flavoured natural sweet perlé wine for all seasons, light-bodied with tones of honey and exotic spice and a fresh, mouth-watering aftertaste. Overgauw Sylavanner Stellenbosch - R Refreshing and medium-bodied with aromas of pear, apricot, white fleshed peach and small traces of floral and spice notes. The fruit follows through onto the palate with a pleasingly crisp, lingering finish.

Jean Pierre Lunchtime - Stellenbosch - R75.00 Inspired, creative and passionate, Jean Pierre lives on in this true to character provincial style Rose. Particularly good during lunchtime, with delightful passion fruit flavours upfront, yet crisp and dry on the finish. Dragon s Back Semi Sweet Stellenbosch - R80.00 Perfect any time of the day with hints of strawberry, mulberries with a crisp fresh lingering finish. Fort Simon Stellenbosch - R An off-dry Rosé with aromas of strawberries and raspberries. Crisp on the Palate that enhances the berry like flavours with a soft toffee like aftertaste. Morgenster Caruso - Somerset West - R Balance is the name of this Italian masterpiece and Caruso does its namesake proud. Rich and elegant, having a soft, velvety feel but with enough focus and length. Red Wines CABERNET SAUVIGNON De Meye Little River Stellenbosch - R Full bodied yet accessible, with ripe cherries, prunes, tobacco and spices that are well integrated with the subtle oak. Glen Carlou Paarl - R The primary berry fruit flavours dominate this Cabernet Sauvignon, yet it has a complexity derived from careful oak maturation. It has soft yet luscious tannins with a rich and lingering finish. Neil Ellis - Stellenbosch - R High-toned blackcurrant, violet and cedar aromas and touches of mint. The rich, ripe opulent but youthful palate has plumy fruit, a background of new oak and fine tannins. Joubert Tradauw R62 - Klein Karoo - R Flavours of earth, cedar, blackberries, red currant and cassis infused with spice and vanilla. The tannins are soft with lingering fruit in a caressing finish. Glen Carlou Gravel Quarry - Paarl - R A classic Cabernet Sauvignon named after the distinctive gravel soils in which the vines are planted and the old quarry site where the winery stands today. Superbly balanced with a rich bouquet of blackberry, mulberry and spicy oak supported by firm, supple tannins.

6 PINOTAGE Fort Simon Stellenbosch - R Packed with red berry and cherry flavours that are well integrated with spicy wood aromas. Medium to full bodied on the palate Altydegedacht Pinotage Durbanville - R Wild berry and raspberry aromas and flavours with firm tannins to finish. Good balance from French and American oak. Groot Constantia Constantia - R With its deep, dark, nearly purple red colour this wine explodes with the scent of bright red fruit, black berries, liquorice, cinnamon and spice on the nose. The black fruit and spice follow through on the palate showing an abundance of fruit flavours and fine tannin and has a beautiful long finish. SHIRAZ Fortress Hill Stellenbosch - R95.00 Garnet in colour with aromas of raspberry, violets and a touch of smokiness. A medium bodied wine, perfectly balanced with soft juicy tannins for a lingering aftertaste. Neil Ellis Elgin Elgin - R Pure blackberry fruit with underlying white pepper, liquorice aromas and hints of violets. Elegant but concentrated palate with underlying cedar spice and a finely balanced tannin structure. Constitution Road - Robertson - R In 2004 Robertson Winery released a very special Shiraz to commemorate ten years of democracy in South Africa under the new constitution. Intense aroma of dark ripe black berry with seductive spicy fruit and black pepper characteristics. Boschkloof Stellenbosch - R Complex and attractive bouquet of oriental spices with typical Shiraz smoked ham and white pepper flavours. Well balanced wine with spicy type plum and berry fruit flavours and peppery overtones that finish with soft round tannins. MERLOT Fortress Hill - Stellenbosch - R95.00 Hints of chocolate and plums on the nose. On the palate the wine has soft tannins, is medium structured and has a lingering dark berry aftertaste Excelsior Robertson - R This wine is medium to full-bodied with aromas of blackcurrants, chocolate and earth. The wine has rich but exceptionally soft tannins and a long finish.

7 Sterhuis - Bottelery Hills - R The wine is classic in style, serious yet very accessible flavours with fresh plums, mulberries, spicy fruitcake, chocolate and coffee on the nose. The Palate is elegant with spicy fruitcake, mulberry and plum fruits with integrated oak flavours and a velvety soft tannin finish. PINOT NOIR Edgebaston - Franschhoek - R This Pinot Noir shows ripe, fresh raspberry, strawberry and vanilla notes on the nose. The palate has a touch of minerality and earthiness layered below the fresh, clean fruit. Glen Carlou - Paarl - R On the palate a medley of strawberry and raspberry is subtly complemented by well-integrated oak. Sumaridge - Walker Bay R Dark berry and forest fruit aromas combine with a subtle oak character which lends a smoky spiciness to the well integrated palate. RED BLENDS Journey s End Pastor s Blend - Somerset West - R Earthy, herbaceous tones with ripe fruit and underpinned mintiness. Sweet spicy palate and aggressive tannins gives the wine a generous finish. Balanced wood but still youthful and will develop well in the bottle. Sterhuis Merlot/Cabernet Stellenbosch - R Plums, mulberries, black cherries, chocolate and coffee on the nose. The palate is rich, soft and silky with the complexity of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon combining with delicate oaking in a soft seductive finish. Fort Simon Barrel Select Stellenbosch - R Mulberry and plummy flavours on the nose. On the palate the wine is full with soft integrated tannins ensuring a long lingering berry like aftertaste. Creation Merlot/Cabernet/Petit Verdot - Walker Bay - R The sumptuous berry bouquet tempts with generous blackberry and blackcurrant aromas against a background of smoky oak. The palate is in perfect harmony and richly textured with well-integrated tannins. Anthonij Rupert Optima - Franschhoek - R Hints of cinnamon and cocoa overlay fruitcake and blackberry fruit with a light oak presence on the nose. The palate offers up the same characteristics with plum plushness added, along with a more earthy and inky nuance providing depth.

8 Rustenberg John X Merriman - Stellenbosch - R Plum and cigar box aromas prelude a multi layered palate with an elegant tannin structure Glen Carlou Petit Verdot/Tannat Paarl - R This very interesting red blend combines two lesser-known classic French varieties: the intense and inky Petit Verdot and the hearty, thick-skinned Tannat. The resulting wine is big and brooding with deep, dark fruit, earth, grilled meat and campfire smoke aromas and flavours. OTHER RED CULTIVARS Pegasus Cinsault Stellenbosch- R Made for easier drinkability due to lower alcohol levels. Opulent currents and berries on the palate Terra Del Capo Sangiovese - Franschhoek - R Spicy cherry and succulent plum are found in the mouth - but with a lightness of touch. Vibrant and lively nutmeg and cinnamon add spice highlights to the mix, along with a touch of tobacco leaf. Altydgedacht Barbera Darling - R Made from a traditional northern Italian variety, this wine has a rich red colour, with the nose exuding dark fruit and toasty oak aromas. The velvety entry on the palate is rounded off with a varietal fruit flavours and oaky sweetness. The elegant tannin-structure is a hallmark of the cooler Durbanville winegrowing region. Raats Cabernet Franc Stellenbosch - R Displays succulent red fruits coupled with a beautifully smoky, mineral quality. Supple, extremely moreish and a great example of this much under-rated variety
