6 August 08, 2012 NEW ZEALAND New Zealand Wineries R - Z Date & place of tasting shown in italics South Island Growers / Wineries are in alphabetical order with area underneath South Island Ra Nui Sauvignon Blanc It is quite flowery and fragrant with not much depth style and a lack of length. Ribbonwood Sauvignon Blanc Tasted in Lincoln s Inn March 2017 White flowers the nose is fragrant smoky the palate starts with gooseberry and lime crispness but not exaggerated nicely understated. Sweet in the middle tropical fruits and white peach the richer flavours are underpinned by fresh fruits the finish flinty mineral with herbal freshness. 7 NEW ZEALAND August 08, 2012 The herbaceous leafiness gives lots of character on the nose and freshness on the palate. Under the crispness there is some sweetness some richer flavours a mix of tropical fruits but towards the back freshness dominates all leafy grassy and gooseberry. Pinot Noir Tasted at the New Zealand Tasting London September 2007 Lots of red fruits fill out the nose and they are backed by flowery fragrances. Sweeter, richer mulberry on the mid and end palate; fragrance on the finish which is a touch on the firm side. Pinot Noir Tasted at the New Zealand Tasting London September 2007 Lovely, perfumed, the bright red fruits on the nose are backed by some floral fragrances. The palate is fresh at the start but sweet, ripe mulberry comes through giving a richer feel towards the back. Pinot Noir Tasted at the New Zealand Tasting London September 2007 The nose is delightfully fragrant, lots of redcurrant and raspberry. The palate is fleshed out by sweeter, richer mulberry which gives more weight and depth. There is an attractive herbal complexity to the red fruits on the finish. Pinot Noir Mature Vine Tasted at the Lea & Sandeman tasting London March 2014 Minty fragrant the nose is black fruited but the palate has a mix some bramble some richer mulberry layers of flavour. The back palate has richness but the finish is lighter fresher slightly herbal. Tinker s Field Pinot Noir Tasted at the Pinot Noir tasting New Zealand House London June 2013 Deep and brooding the nose has richness of fruit all very black fruit in character. It is fresher on the palate bramble and bilberry with hints of red fruits. The back palate has all the power and richness of ripe fruit a lovely mix of mulberry and blackcurrant. Emma s Block Pinot Noir Tasted at the Pinot Noir tasting New Zealand House London June 2013 The fruit feels ripe the nose has richness and depth of flavour all very black fruit in character. 8 August 08, 2012 NEW ZEALAND Riversleigh Estate Kotare Pinot Gris The nose is quite light. There is some sweetness on the start of the palate but the middle is hollow and it has a short finish. Rockburn The Cromwell Basin Central Otago Pinot Gris Tasted in the Ship Inn Brancaster February 2015 The nose has fruit depth the palate a mix of white peach, nectarine and pear richness of flavour. Fresher at the back the citrus mix gives a lighter feel the finish is richer with just a hint of sweetness. Pinot Noir The nose feels rich and the sweet fruit on the palate has a flowery fragrance. There is a good weight of flavour on the mid palate, supple yet fresh with good length Saint Clair Sauvignon Blanc There is a good mix of fruit on the nose, green limes and gooseberry. Sweet fruited on the mid palate with lots of flavour towards the back. The fruit lasts well on the finish. Master of Wine: Derek Smedley 8

9 NEW ZEALAND August 08, 2012 Seresin Estate Sun and Moon Pinot Noir Tasted at the Pinot Noir tasting New Zealand House London June 2013 The nose has a fragrant charm and the start of the palate appears to be quite light but there is richness of fruit there depth towards the back with a mix of fresh raspberry and fuller sweeter strawberry. Raupo Creek Pinot Noir Tasted at the Pinot Noir tasting New Zealand House London June 2013 The nose has fragrant charm quite light fresh and red fruited. There is a richer feel to the palate still red fruit in character but with sweetness of flavour. Redcurrant is there at the back giving a attractive fresh finish. Shaky Bridge Alexandra Central Otago Pinot Noir New Zealand Tasting London February 2006 There is a complex mix of fruit flavours on both nose and palate with ripe fruit giving a lush sweetness in the middle but firmer feel towards the back. Siefried Nelson Sauvignon Blanc Flinty mineral lime and gooseberry i9s there on the nose with some sweeter tropical fruit. The mid palate feels quite rich and there is good depth on the finish. Sauvignon Blanc Tasted at New Zealand House November 2013 Leafy citrusy the nose is very fresh and the palate is quite light and fresh fruited. 10 August 08, 2012 NEW ZEALAND Grüner Veltliner Tasted at New Zealand House November 2013 The nose is rich the palate has greengage depth the rich ripe fruit balanced by freshness but it is fleshy and ripe fruited at the back giving richness on the finish. Sweet Sweet Agnes Riesling Tasted in Lincoln s Inn February 2017 The nose has orange blossom fragrances the start of the palate is light and citrusy. Sweet in the middle pineapple and white peach but the underlying fresh fruits show at the back the finish is fragrant and light. Snapper Rock Sauvignon Blanc Tasted in Lilley April 2016 The nose is bright and fresh the start of the palate firm with apple and citrus the mid palate quite tight. There is a sweeter richer feel towards the back hints of tropical fruits and the finish has breadth sweetness a slight lack of crispness. Spencer Hill Nelson Latitude 41 Sauvignon Blanc Tasted in the Guildhall August 2011 The nose is very heavy rather overblown and this heaviness of flavour is there on the start of the palate. Lemon and gooseberry feature on the mid palate giving some relief but towards the back it is showing its maturity all very herbal and bitter almond. Spy Valley Master of Wine: Derek Smedley 10

11 NEW ZEALAND August 08, 2012 Pinot Gris The nose is light and fragrant with some mineral crisp fruit on the palate. Flowery spice brightens the end Riesling Although it feels very light it has fragrance and a sweeter feel to the finish. Sauvignon Blanc Tasted at Lincoln s Inn September 2010 There is all the apple and gooseberry fresh charm of New Zealand s South Island, refreshingly crisp. Richer tropical fruit lends some weight to the mid palate with the classic mix of minerals, citrus and gooseberry taking over and lifting the finish. It is ideal with fish but has the strength of character not to be daunted by white meats or even pork Sauvignon Blanc Tasted at Lincoln s Inn June 2011 So often these wines from the South Island seem a little exaggerated and although this has lots of crunchy gooseberry the flavours are not over the top. The mid palate has enough sweet fruit to balance the racy crispness and the finish has the upfront guava that the nose promises. It makes an ideal partner to shell fish stronger flavoured fish dishes, pork and other white meats. Sauvignon Blanc Tasted at Lincoln s Inn December 2011 Although there is a lot of crunchy gooseberry and fresh lime on the nose it is not over exaggerated. The mid palate has lovely sweet fruit a mix of flavours with hints of tropical fruits and guava. Towards the back the mix of gooseberry and lime refreshes and brings out the flavours. There is enough freshness for shellfish yet enough flavour for the fuller flavoured fish, for chicken, pork and other of the lighter meats. Sauvignon Blanc Tasted at Lincoln s Inn February 2014 The Sauvignons from do not vary that much from year to year and the 2012 s have the same intensity of flavour the same crunchy gooseberry as Under the freshness sweeter flavours some tropical fruits and guava give a little more weight but the finish is racy crisp with lots of lime and mineral. It certainly is the wine for shellfish, suits the lighter meats and cuts through the richness of pork. 12 August 08, 2012 NEW ZEALAND Lime and gooseberry refresh the nose and give a racy freshness on the palate. Under the freshness tropical fruits and a hint of pear give richness but at the back flint and citrus refresh and give crispness on the finish. Pinot Noir Tasted in Lincoln s Inn March 2016 Fragrant floral woodland violets the start of the palate is fresh with a mix of red fruits. More depth in the middle ripe mulberry the sweetness backed by lighter fresher flavours a hint of spice. The finish is sweet and ripe with breadth and richness of fruit. Pinot Noir Tasted at Lincoln s Inn September 2010 The first impression is woodland violets their fragrance underpinned by an attractive mix of raspberry and mulberry. Layers of flavour ensure complexity with ripe sweet black fruits enriching the mid palate and the fresher red lifting and brightening the finish. Pinot Noir Tasted at Lincoln s Inn June 2011 Violets feature strongly on the nose backed by a mix of red fruits with lots of raspberries and mulberries in evidence. The ripeness of the fruit the mix of bramble and cocoa gives richness on the mid palate but the sweetness is balanced and underpinned by freshness. The touch of spice would complement the lighter flavoured meats. Pinot Noir Tasted at New Zealand House London November 2013 The floral mix on the nose has a fragrant charm the fruit is fresh and with a mix of red fruits on the palate. Although light at the start it fills out in the middle mulberry some bramble then lighter fresher at the back with white pepper on the finish Envoy Pinot Noir Tasted at the Pinot Noir tasting New Zealand House London June 2013 Ripe fruit gives a rich feel to the nose and lovely depth of fruit on the palate. The layers of fruit fresh raspberry and richer mulberry give complexity with the raspberry freshness giving brightness on the finish. 13 NEW ZEALAND August 08, 2012 The nose is light with little fragrance. The palate has a hard character and the finish is rather short. Staete Landt Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc New Zealand Tasting London February 2007 The nose is crisp with a mix of tropical fruit, fresh apples and gooseberry. The sweetness on the palate is balanced by a mineral freshness; good length. Sauvignon Blanc New Zealand Tasting London February 2007 Very fragrant tropical fruit, apples and flowery gooseberry give complexity on the nose. The palate has fragrance, sweetness in the middle and a racy mineral finish. Chardonnay New Zealand Tasting London February 2007 Ripe almost fleshy on the nose, the sweet fruit has a freshness coming from mid acidity. Lovely weight of flavour lime freshness and greengage sweetness, all give complexity. Chardonnay New Zealand Tasting London February 2007 Richness of fruit fills out the nose, more greengage flavours but some honeydew melon. The ripeness of fruit is balanced by the freshness. Viognier Rapaura Tasted at New Zealand House London November 2013 Peachy on the nose there is the richness of apricot and tropical fruit on the palate. The mid sweetness and richness is balanced by lighter citrusy freshness yet there is lots of apricot filling out the finish. Pinot Noir New Zealand Tasting London February 2007 Lots of ripe mulberry shows on the nose and there is depth of flavour, sweet almost fleshy fruit on the mid palate balanced by freshness. 14 August 08, 2012 NEW ZEALAND New Zealand Tasting London February 2007 The nose is packed with fruit first redcurrant then bramble. The palate has lots of complex flavours there is mid depth ripe fruit yet freshness brightening the finish. Stanley Estate Sauvignon Blanc Tasted at the London Wine Trade Fair May 2011 The floral fragrances on the nose although they seem a little understated are lovely with more white peach than crisp gooseberry. The start of the palate is fresh but then towards the middle there are richer sweeter flavours. The finish is crisp with lots of minerals backing the lingering fruit flavours. Sauvignon Blanc Tasted in Lilley December 2011 The nose has the richness of peach and apricot yet behind there is freshness coming from the lime and grapefruit. The start of the palate is quite restrained but towards the middle there are richer flavours layers of peach, apricot and tropical fruits. Citrus and flint gives a lovely freshness to the finish. Sauvignon Blanc Tasted at LWTF May 2013 The nose has a smoky elderflower fragrant charm and the palate is light fresh with crunchy gooseberry mineral and slate. Tropical fruits give richness on the mid palate but there is a fresher feel at the back capsicum and green peppers flavours that linger. Sauvignon Blanc Tasted at the LWF June 2014 Racy fresh fruit the nose is fragrant white flowered with a mineral mix. The fruit on the mid palate is richer hints of tropical fruits hints of sweetness but at the back lime and flint refresh the finish long and crisp. Sauvignon Blanc Tasted at the SITT tasting London February 2015 The nose is discreet white flowered, fresh citrusy and the palate starts with gooseberry crispness. 15 NEW ZEALAND August 08, 2012 Cut grass, gooseberry and crunchy apple give a lovely freshness on the nose but the crispness is not exaggerated not overpowering the fragrances. The palate is fresh but there is tropical fruit sweetness in the middle balancing. Pinot Gris Tasted at the London Wine Trade Fair May 2011 There is a lovely fragrance on the nose the fruit backed by smoke and minerals. White peach gives some flesh in the middle layers of flavour lovely and complex. The slate mineral and fresh fruit that show towards the back give brightness on the finish. Pinot Gris Tasted at the LWF June 2014 There is apple freshness on both nose and the start of the palate. The flintiness at the start is underpinned by richer fruit white peach and tropical fruits and this gives more depth on the finish. Pinot Gris Tasted at the LWF June 2014 Although the nose has white flowered fragrances freshness there is an underlying sweetness a mix of tropical fruits. The back palate has sweet fruited depth but the finish is lighter lime fresh flinty with a lovely length of flavour. Intrepid Pinot Gris Tasted at the Wines of New Zealand tasting London January 2012 The sweetness of fruit on the nose is backed by mineral and slate which refreshes and brings out the complexity. White peach and tropical fruits enrich the mid palate but the slate freshness is there behind bringing out the fragrances. Albariño Tasted at the Wines of New Zealand tasting London January 2012 Lime fruits and herbal forest leaf flavours give freshness on the nose and bring out the fragrances. The palate is quite rich with tropical fruits and green figs quite creamy but it feels fresher at the back with hazel nut spiciness on the finish. Albariño Tasted at LWTF May 2013 There is grapefruit richness about the nose and lots of sweet fruit on the start of the palate. Creamy peach, ripe figs a lovely depth and richness of flavour with the sweetness on the mid palate balanced by the hints of citrus towards the back. 16 August 08, 2012 NEW ZEALAND Ripe fruits tropical fruits the nose is rich and the palate full and sweet. The richness is balanced by freshness lime and lemon and although lighter at the back there is sweet fruit on the finish a nice depth of flavour. Pinot Noir Tasted at the London Wine Trade Fair May 2011 The nose although quite light has a lovely fragrant mix of fruits a mix of black fruits black cherry with red fruited mulberry. The palate has layers of flavour quite sweet at first but fresher behind. Although bramble is very much in evidence there is lots of mulberry and loganberry on the finish. Pinot Noir Tasted at the London Wine Trade Fair May 2011 The fruit is ripe very black fruit in character on the nose but the palate has some underlying red fruits that help to balance the lush fleshiness. The richness on the mid palate is helped by rounded tannins all quite supple. Fresher bramble gives a bright feel on the finish. Pinot Noir Tasted at the LWF June 2014 Aromatic the nose has a mix of flavours the palate starts with mulberry but underneath black cherry gives more depth more flesh. The fruit mix at the back is fresher the finish long light with an elegant charm. Intrepid Pinot Gris Tasted at the Wines of New Zealand tasting London January 2012 The sweetness of fruit on the nose is backed by mineral and slate which refreshes and brings out the complexity. White peach and tropical fruits enrich the mid palate but the slate freshness is there behind bringing out the fragrances. Sweet Noble Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc Tasted at the Wines of New Zealand tasting London January 2012 Candied orange and tangerine peel give richness on the nose and a sweet start to the palate behind is fresh grapefruit balancing the richness giving complexity. The orange marmalade sweetness and candied peel is there at the back giving richness on the finish. 17 NEW ZEALAND August 08, 2012 The nose is fragrant with a mix of tropical fruits and the palate has the richness of candied peel, fleshy apricot and peaches. Under the sweet fruit tangerine and grapefruit refresh yet the finish has the richness of the start lots caramelized orange peel and ripe apricot. Noble Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc Tasted at the LWF June 2014 The nose has fragrance with a mix of fruits the palate rich white peach and apricot all backed by candied peel. The sweetness in the middle is balanced by freshness a touch of lime but the back palate is sweet, rich, ripe and fleshy. Stoneburn Sauvignon Blanc Tasted at the Stone House Hotel Wensleydale September 2012 The region in the northern part of the south island is well known for its Sauvignon Blanc wines with lots of fresh lime and crunchy gooseberry on both nose and palate. Stoneburn is classic lots of flavour but not too exaggerated. It makes the perfect partner to the prawn cocktail and other crustacean dishes, certainly partner s fish, is not daunted by salmon and if you like white wines with poultry the choice is easy. Sauvignon Blanc Tasted in Lilley October 2012 The region in the northern part of the south island is well known for its Sauvignon Blanc wines with lots of fresh lime and crunchy gooseberry on both nose and palate. Sauvignon Blanc Tasted in Lilley November 2013 This is very classic of many Sauvignon s from with it lime and crunchy gooseberry. The mid palate is slightly sweeter some tropical fruits and a hint of pineapple but it is the freshness that features strongly on the back palate with citrus giving a racy crispness on the finish. If there is Prawn Cocktail on the menu look no further yet there is enough strength of flavour to compliment even the more strongly flavoured fish. 18 August 08, 2012 NEW ZEALAND Sauvignon Blanc from has lots of crunchy gooseberry and fresh limes and this has an attractive citrusy vitality. Fresh at the start there is more weight and sweetness on the mid palate with a tropical fruit and pineapple mix. Lime and lemon the hints of gooseberry give freshness at the back making it a ideal partner to sea food, the prawn cocktail and Stoneburn a great combination, certainly a wine for fish but also an ideal appetiser before dinner. Stoneleigh Sauvignon Blanc Rapaura Tasted at New Zealand House London November 2013 The fruit on the nose is concentrated and the palate firm with a mix of apple and gooseberry. The back palate has richness but the finish is lighter firm and a touch short. Latitude Pinot Noir Rapaura Tasted at New Zealand House London November 2013 Bramble and black cherry give richness on the nose and a nice complex mix of flavours on the palate. There is an underlying freshness that lifts the flavours on the back palate. Surveyor Thompson Winery Central Otago Single Vineyard Pinot Noir Tasted at the Pinot Noir tasting New Zealand House London June 2013 The fruit is fresh with more red fruits than black but the palate has bramble bilberry and blackcurrant an attractive mix of flavours. 19 NEW ZEALAND August 08, 2012 Pinot Noir Tasted at the New Zealand Tasting London September 2007 Lots of fruit shows on the nose, the fresh red fruits backed by sweeter bramble. The same pattern is borne out on the palate, freshness in the middle more raspberry and red currant with mulberry and bramble filling out the finish. TerraVin Estate Eaton Family Vineyard Pinot Noir Tasted at the Pinot Noir tasting New Zealand House London June 2013 There is a fresh fruited charm quite light with lovely fragrances. The fresh start gives way to richer fruit some ripe strawberry with the redcurrant towards the back giving a fresh appeal to the finish. Te Whare Ra Riesling There is a good weight of fruit on both nose and palate with fragrant herbal spicy green fruit showing towards the back. Te Whare Pinot Noir It is very light and has high acidity on both nose and palate. 20 August 08, 2012 NEW ZEALAND New Zealand Tasting London February 2006 The nose is quite fragrant and fresh, lime and gooseberry. Some sweetness shows on the palate with a crispness coming out towards the back. The finish is quite light Sauvignon Blanc Crisp fruit is there on nose and palate with gooseberry very much in evidence. It is a very classic style. Sauvignon Blanc Tasted at the Mentzendorff tasting September 2011 Although the nose is quite light there is some gooseberry and lime showing. The fruit is very fresh giving a crisp start but the mid palate has the sweetness of tropical fruits then towards the back the green lime and gooseberry take over crisping up the finish. Pinot Noir New Zealand Tasting London February 2006 The nose is very light, a mix of mulberry and raspberry. The palate has sweetness but not much depth and the fruit fades towards the back. Pinot Noir Some ripe flavours show on the nose. Black and red fruits intermingle on the palate but it tends to lacks mid complexity and goes a bit short at the end. The Ned Sauvignon Blanc New Zealand Tasting London February 2006 There is fresh lime and gooseberry on the nose. The palate has fragrance and is quite light but with a crispness from the fresh fruit salad mix that is there towards the back. Sauvignon Blanc 2005 Single Vineyard 91 New Zealand Tasting London February 2006 There is lots of complexity on the nose, fresh fruit but a ripeness coming out. 21 NEW ZEALAND August 08, 2012 Waihopai River Sauvignon Blanc Tasted in Bierton near Aylesbury September 2011 The nose is smoky the gooseberries overlaid with an elderflower fragrance. Apples, limes and gooseberries all give a zesty crispness on the palate and although slightly sweeter towards the back the finish has a racy freshness. Pinot Gris New Zealand Tasting London February 2006 Minerally, smoky fruits show on the nose. There is an attractive mix of flavours on the palate, a good balance between sweet fruit and acidity. It has elegance and length Pinot Noir New Zealand Tasting London February 2006 There is lots of ripe mulberry and bilberry on the nose. Sweet fruit is there on the start of the palate with a rounded middle and then freshness towards the back but the finish goes a bit dry. Tinpot Hut Sauvignon Blanc The nose is light and fragrant. The palate has minerally gooseberry a touch grassy quite sweet tropical fruits come through on the long finish. Sauvignon Blanc Tasted at the Royal College of Physicians September 2011 There is a mix of flavours on the nose with some sweet tropical fruits backed by herbal racy freshness. The palate has lots of the herbal grassy character with the richer tropical fruits showing towards the back giving some weight on the finish. Single Vineyard Seddon Pinot Gris Rich flowery spice nose packs out the nose. Complex flavours on the sweet mid palate backed by crisper mineral shale on the finish. Private Bin East Coast Pinot Grigio Tasted at New Zealand House November 2013 The nose is rich fruited the palate has lovely sweet flavours. It feels lighter towards the back flinty with mineral and citrus. The finish is long with lingering flavours. Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc Tasted in Lilley February 2015 Attractively fresh the nose is quite light with white flower fragrances the start of the palate gooseberry crisp but not overdone. Waipara Hills Waipara Sauvignon Blanc The nose has green spice backed by fresh gooseberry. Tropical fruits give some flesh to the palate and there is a good complex mix of flavours on the back palate. Sauvignon Blanc Tasted at New Zealand House November 2013 Crisp and crunchy the nose is fresh and the start of the palate racy and citrusy. Slightly richer flavours give more depth in the middle but at the back the citrus the gooseberry the leafiness dominate giving racy freshness on the finish. Riesling The nose is lovely and fragrant with lots of fresh fruit. The palate has a touch of herbal spice and it is very flowery on the finish. There is a depth of fruit on the palate with some richer flavours showing towards the back. West Ram Paddock Red Blend New Zealand Tasting London February 2006 The nose has lots of vegetal green lime. The palate has a mint flavour to the fruit and the herbaceous character comes out quite strongly. The flavours do last and linger. Waipara Springs Waipara Valley Sauvignon Blanc Tasted at the LWTF May 2010 Fresh gooseberry and lime give a racy crispness to the nose but behind are sweeter tropical fruits. There is a lovely mix of flavours on the palate guavas and gooseberries back by fresh lime. The fruit lingers on the long finish. Sauvignon Blanc Tasted at the London Wine Trade Fair May 2011 There is a racy crisp feel to the nose with minerals and gooseberry intermingling. Although the start of the palate is very crisp sweeter more tropical flavoured fruits show in the middle but it is the gooseberry that wins through on the finish. Apple and lime refresh the mid palate lovely and crunchy crisp the freshness bringing out a mix of fragrances and a hint of spice on the finish. Sauvignon Blanc Tasted at the LWF June 2014 The fruit on the nose is sweet and the palate has depth of flavour. It is crisper towards the back more of a gooseberry character with citrus and mineral refreshing the finish. Sauvignon Blanc Tasted in the Mansion House July 2015 The nose is very fresh crisp crunchy gooseberries and the palate has concentrated flavours with citrus and mineral slightly hard. There is a little more depth of fruit at the back but it finishes with a citrus and gooseberry mix. Dry Riesling Tasted at the LWTF May 2010 The nose has honeyed fruit backed by fresh but ripe leafy lime. The floral fragrances of the nose are there on the palate and the herbal leafiness gives uplift to the fruit on the finish. Dry Riesling Tasted at the LWF June 2014 Lime and lemon the nose is light fresh fruited with mineral on the palate. There is more depth in the middle grapefruit and light tropical fruits but at the back citrus and flint refresh. Riesling Tasted at Leathersellers November 2010 There is a very attractive two tone character about the nose a bitter sweetness. The fresh lime on the palate is backed by slightly sweeter tropical fruits layers of flavour. Towards the back sweet fruit gives flesh but the finish has an attractive spice, slightly herbal freshness. Riesling Tasted at the LWTF May 2010 It is full of fruit, herbal and leafy but underpinned by richer slightly sweeter greengage. The mix of sweet flavours and citric freshness gives it an attractive balance and last well on the finish. Greengage is backed by ripe melon fleshly sweet but under all of this richness is crisper apple and this balances and lifts the flavours. The back palate is packed with fruit. Premo Chardonnay Tasted at the Wines of New Zealand tasting London January 2012 Ripe melon enriches the nose and fills out the palate. The mid palate has a toasty richness with a mix of honeydew melon and greengage but apple and citrus backed by minerals give a fresher lighter feel on the finish. Premo Chardonnay Tasted at the Mansion House July 2014 The nose has the richness of ripe greengage and the palate is fleshy and sweet fruited with lots of ripe melon. The back palate is fresh citrusy with cut apple and the finish is long racy flinty and mineral.
