2 RIOS DE CHILE HISTORY Rios de Chile is a brand from the Viña CdT winery, which was founded in 1994 as a partnership between the Granella family from Chile and Château Larose Trintaudon from Haute-Medoc in France In 2010 the Court Family purchased the Estate and Winery and modernized it after the 2010 earthquake severely damaged the winery. 4 BRAND NAME Ríos de Chile pays tribute to one of the fundamental elements to Chile s winegrowing it s rivers. Over thousands of years the snowmelt from the Andes mountains have formed these rivers that have carved their way into the landscape and have shaped the diverse Chilean wine valleys which are essential for the production of fine wines and that give name today to world renown appellations.

12 FRANCISCO PONCE W INEMAKER & VITICULTURIST Agricultural Engineer with a specialty in Enology and Viticulture. Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile 14 years of experience in different Chilean & International wineries: Viña Terramater, Viña Perez Cruz, Viña Garcés Silva, Rapaura Vintners Ltd (New Zealand), Domaine Font de Michelle (France), Domaine Grand Clos (Switzerland) Responsible of viticulture, winemaking, barrel ageing and bottling. In charge of plant purchasing/replanting decisions and long-term contracts with producers. Responsible for the assets associated with the winery, barrel room and bottling facility.

Named Knight of the Order of Agricultural Merit by the French Government. Awarded the Chilean Viticulture and Wine Making Award as best enologist of the year years of experience in the creation of viticulture and wine making companies and organizations related to the development and promotion of vineyards and wine, both in Chile and abroad. He is currently advising wineries in Chile, Argentina and Bolivia, in viticulture and winemaking subjects. Over 20 years as international jury of the most famous wine contests. 14 THE TERROIR Over time and as early as 1943, 100 hectares (247 acres) of vineyards were planted in the flagship Estate in the Cachapoal Valley, sub region of the Rapel Valley. 17 THE VINEYARDS TOTIHUE AREA In the area of Totihue, Alto Cachapoal, there are four well-defined seasons per year with very cold winters with temperatures that reach -3ºC (27ºF); cold, dry springs; and summers with temperatures that oscillate between 35ºC (95ºF) in the daytime and 14.5ºC (58ºF) at night.

24 THE WINERY GUEST SERVICES THE RIOS DE CHILE EXPERIENCE - A NEW WAY TO KNOW CHILE Rios de Chile has opened the doors of it s winery to those who love wine and the Chilean countryside, allowing it s visitors to discover the nature and the beauty of the Cachapoal Valley. Guests receive the country-style hospitality at our winery, being able to enjoy the native flora and fauna that surrounds our winery near the imposing Andes Mountains, and take part in one of our activities, including wine tastings, horseback riding, hiking, and biking. The natural hot springs of Cauquenes invite visitors to relax in their soothing waters. The former mining city of Sewell is accessible from the Cachapoal wine route. Close by are also the Rio Los Cipreses National Park and the Puma Lodge Hotel which offers mountain biking, rock climbing, fly fishing, hikes through the Cachapoal valley, heliski, ski and snowshoe trekking. Close to Santiago, and its winter sports centers as well as a number of beautiful nature protection areas.
