Jones Boulevard Las Vegas, NV Fax: Adult Day Care Center of Henderson 1201 Nevada State Drive Henderson, NV Fax: MONTHLY NEWSLETTER AUGUST 2015 The Adult Day Care Center of Las Vegas is celebrating Happiness-Happens and Art Appreciation Month. Happiness is a choice. Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life, while Art is a medium that expands our artistic and intellectual horizons. Our Las Vegas Center responds to the important mission of supporting adults of all ages and senior citizens in their efforts to remain independent, with dignity in the community. Here at our Center, we are showcasing some amazing art from our seniors and greats like Picasso, Jackson Pollock, Kandinsky, Bruce Gray and many more while continuing to offer the contemporary fun activities that all of our participants love, including: Daily exercise programs, Chair Yoga, Tai Chi, Music Appreciation, Organic Gardening, Laughing Yoga, Sign Language, Bingo Competitions, Arts & Crafts, and live entertainment every afternoon. Please join us in celebrating how Art has had an impact on all of our lives as we welcome the month of AUGUST. MONDAY FRIDAY 6:30AM 6:30PM / SAT & SUN.- 8AM 6PM Artist: Bruce Gray
2 HIGHLIGHTS FROM JULY Artist: Kandinsky July began with Creative Dance, wonderful music and bright smiles! On July 3rd, our Center had the pleasure of experiencing a joyful Patriotic Parade starring our seniors and a delicious barbecue prepared by our wonderful Chef Brian and sous chef Cynthia. The seniors celebrated as they saluted the American flag with pride and enjoyed patriotic songs. Our seniors sang in unison to the music of God Bless America. Their participation was absolutely awesome! We give a BIG thank you to our Arts and Crafts class for supplying the handmade red, white and blue Peace Bracelets and instruments for the client s musical rendition. Thanks to Early Clover for an awesome 4th of July oldies but goodies music show. Everyone was entertained and danced the afternoon away. NEW ARRIVALS We are pleased to welcome the new participants who became a part of our Center s family in July: Kissie R., James C., Norma G., Ruth G., Sherlene C., Aimee W., Raymond D., Elia V., Jim A., and Ciprianna C. Our clients are enjoying the serine atmosphere as they sit in the shade and sip a cool libation. DID YOU KNOW?
