With refined yet casual options, eclectic global flavours and dishes created by our culinary team that aim to exceed expectations of traditional pub cuisine. Inspired by the British theme of the five other Pig N Whistle venues situated around Brisbane (Indooroopilly, Queen Street, Riverside, Brunswick Street and West End), Pig N Whistle King George Square brings an exciting offering to one of the best destinations Brisbane s thriving CBD has to offer. As well as our dining offer, we are dedicated to showcasing Australian craft beers on tap. 3 FOOD PHILOSOPHY WE ARE extremely proud of the quality of food our kitchen produces; spending substantial time with our producers and suppliers to ensure they provide us with the freshest premium ingredients. To ensure this level of quality is maintained, it is our philosophy to source the best we can direct from the farm or producer. Our Executive Chef continually visits our producers, suppliers and travels to fruit and vegetable markets every week to source produce that we cannot buy directly. Additionally, we have two of our very own farms; a herd of Wagyu cows in the hills of Bilambil Heights NSW, providing us with some great wagyu beef and another at Pullenvale (Brisbane s western suburbs) and supplies us with organic herbs, curry leaves, kaffir limes, oranges and galangal to list a few. For other beef supplies, Pig N Whistle has partnered with some of Australia s most trusted breeders and brands. From grass fed beef to 150 day grain fed beef and sourcing breeds like Hereford and Angus we ensure the beef we source is of the highest quality. Our whole pigs are English large black breeds and are sourced from Mary Valley Free Range located about an hour inland from Noosa. Other products come from boutique suppliers who have worked with us for many years to deliver the special quality that our ever changing menus demand. Our Executive Chef has over a decade of experience catering functions from 20 people to 3000 people. Ours is a metre in diameter and sits on a specially made burner and can serve up to 70pax. Our paella recipe contains chicken, chorizo, tiger prawns, calamari, mussels, roasted capsicum, rice, sofriget sauce and lemon. NASI GORENG $12PP A traditional Indonesian dish meaning fried rice. Our chefs cook these to order for your guests allowing them to watch the cooking process as they fire it up on the woks. We will supply arm bands for your group to denote your bar tab and specified products available to your guests. The dollar amount of your tab is at your discretion and can be checked at any time. You nominate a fixed bar tab amount or time limit for beverages to be available to your guests. Beyond this, your guests pay for their own beverages. 16 TERMS & CONDITIONS BOOKING CONFIRMATION AND DEPOSIT Function areas are subject to availability so be sure to book in advance to ensure you get your desired function area and date. A tentative booking will (on request) be held for a maximum of 7 days. To confirm your function booking a filled in and signed function booking form and a copy of this page signed must be returned along with a 20% deposit of the minimum spend. Once the deposit has been received your booking will be confirmed. CANCELLATIONS We appreciate that circumstances may occur, which could make it necessary for your function to be canceled. In all circumstances written notice is required and the following cancellation fees apply. 30 days or more full refund of deposit Less than 30 days but more than 14 days 50% of the deposit will be refunded Less than 14 days but more than 4 days deposit will not be refunded. Less than 4 days client will incur full minimum food and beverage spend charge FINAL GUEST NUMBERS AND DETAILS So we can effectively organise your event, our functions team will require an update on number of guests ten days out from your function. The confirmed menu and beverage selection and an update of numbers of guests attending along with dietary requirements in writing seven days out from your function. Final numbers and dietary requirements need to be advised five days out from your function. Your function coordinator will then create your tax invoice. FINAL PAYMENT Once your final numbers have been received, a tax invoice will be issued with your expected outstanding payment. This amount is required three days prior to your event. Any additional charges incurred between this time and throughout the duration of your event will be charged on conclusion of your event. All payments will be authorised with the client prior to being processed. Payment options include, credit card, cash or direct debit. No cheques will be accepted. FOOD AND BEVERAGE POLICY Due to the nature of the venue s licence and policies, we are unable to permit patrons, guests or invitees to bring liquor or food onto the premises. LIQUOR LICENSING AND RESPONSIBLE SERVICE Only valid forms of identification will be accepted. Dress standards apply unless prior arrangements are made. Those unable to present id and under the age of 18 (minors) are welcome to attend your booking under the following strict regulations. Minors must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian. A responsible adult accountable for supervising a minor as defined by the liquor act as a parent, step parent, guardian or adult who has parental responsibility for the minor whilst they are on the premises. Minors and those without id must not approach the bar and must not consume any alcohol. Minors and those without id must stay in the function area at all times. Our obligation under the liquor act state that we are not permitted to serve or continue to service of alcohol to patrons, who in our opinion are unduly intoxicated or disorderly. Management reserves the right to exercise regulatory conditions at any time during your booking if it is believed that the alcohol consumption rate is excessive. CAKEAGE Our pastry chef can create a range of specialty cakes suitable for any occasion small or large and customised to your needs. Please ask us for our cake list and for more details. A standard $4 per person cakeage fee applies to all bookings bringing in external cakes. For a $8 per person cost the chefs will portion the cake and plate it with cream and coulis. Should you wish to bring an external cake strict non-negotiable conditions apply. The risk for our chefs is they have no control over the manufacturing of such cakes and therefore cannot be sure it complies with our food safety program standards. Our chefs will only accept cakes into the premises if the client agrees that a 100gr sample of the cake can be retained when being portioned by the venue for safe keeping in the event a food poisoning situation should occur this can be sent off for laboratory testing. PROPERTY AND DAMAGES Pig N Whistle King George Square will take all due care with client/guests and third party property, however we do not take responsibility for any items, that have been left behind, lost, stolen or damaged during your function. DECORATIONS You are welcome to supply any additional decorations to compliment your table. Please check with us prior to bringing such decorations to ensure their suitability. ROOM ASSIGNMENT We reserve the right to change the assigned room for your function in the event the room/area becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control. We cannot be held accountable for changes in the weather however we will do our utmost best to accommodate you in other areas of the venue.
