If you choose us to look after you on the most important day of your lives, you will be assured of a wonderful day from start to finish. Nothing is too much trouble for us. Our experienced staff are here to help with anything in the run up to the Wedding, so that on your special day you can both sit back, relax and enjoy in the knowledge that you are been well looked after. We are a privately owned hotel situated in our own beautiful landscaped grounds. Driving up the tree lined lane on your approach to the hotel, you will notice our decked pond area, fallen tree logs and Wedding gazebo and know that you will have discovered the perfect location for your special day. Various sized Weddings can be held in our Cromwell, Oakwell and Bronte Suites. Exclusive use of the hotel is a possibility. Please contact us for more information. The hotel has over ninety luxurious, en-suite bedrooms; all with flat screen TV s. Why not upgrade yourselves on your Wedding night to either our Classic Four Poster suite or our Modern Penthouse suite? Both are decorated and furnished to a very high standard and offer romantic, uninterrupted views of our grounds. The hotels DJ can be arranged for you on your behalf or you can organise your own entertainment if you prefer. We do not charge you for organising your own. Hotels Disco: Price for 2016 to be confirmed. 2 B O O K I N G P R O C E D U R E First of all please contact us to arrange an appointment to come and see us to discuss your requirements, numbers to be catered for and to have a look around the hotel and the grounds etc. We will then be able to check available dates and guide you on all aspects of organising your special day. The Gomersal Park Hotel will hold a provisional booking for a maximum of two weeks, to enable you to check the availability of your Church or Registrar s. Having made your definite decision to hold your wedding at the Gomersal Park Hotel, a non-refundable deposit of 750 is required to confirm the booking along with a signed copy of the hotel s terms and conditions. (Excludes Platinum Package, exclusive use only, see terms and conditions). A secondary deposit of 750 is required six months after booking. A charge of 40% of the estimated total cost is payable three months before the Wedding and the final balance is required two weeks before the Wedding. (Excludes Platinum Package, exclusive use only, see terms and conditions). 3 T H E C I V I L C E R E M O N Y If you are considering holding your Civil Ceremony at the Gomersal Park Hotel, you will need the following important information. When you have decided on a date for your Wedding, please contact us to check availability, we can then provisionally hold a date for up to two weeks. We would then be obliged if you could contact the Registrars office at Dewsbury to check their available dates and times (up to one year in advance): Dewsbury Registry Office The Town Hall Wakefield Old Road Dewsbury WF12 8DG dewsbury.registrars@kirklees.gov.uk If the Registrar is available the day you require, please contact us to arrange payment of your non-refundable 750 deposit. This will confirm your Wedding booking with us. All Registrar fees are paid directly to them. The Hotels Civil Ceremony charge is: 395 (This is in addition to any other charges made by the hotel or the Registrars). Please contact the Registrars directly to check which dates they can perform civil ceremonies on, available times and what their current charges are. You will need to discuss all of the Civil Ceremony requirements with the Registrar, i.e. paperwork, payments, timings, music, vows, contents of the Ceremony etc. When the Ceremony has finished, the hotel will require a minimum of an hour and half to change the room around for the Wedding Breakfast (depending on the amount of guests). During this time we invite you to have photographs taken in the grounds of the Hotel or inside the Hotel, or at Oakwell Hall by prior arrangement with them. 19 T E R M S & C O N D I T I O N S Any booking is subject to written acceptance by Gomersal Park Hotel and is subject to the following conditions; Clients use of the hotel: All weddings on a Saturday must include a drinks package, wedding breakfast and evening buffet (unless prior arranged otherwise) The client and persons attending the function or conference shall:- Not consume any own alcohol or food on the hotels premises (if any is found this will be confiscated and disposed of immediately). Not act in an improper or disorderly manner, and comply with any reasonable request made by the hotel employees. Not carry out any electrical or other works at the hotel including amplification and lighting without our prior consent. Not bring any dangerous or hazardous items into the hotel. Any person, including wedding guests, in breach of any of these conditions may be refused admission to the hotel or removed from the hotel completely. Cancellation by Gomersal Park Hotel: The Hotel reserves the right to cancel a booking for any of the following reasons: Non payment of overdue final settlements. Breach of the use of the Hotel (see conditions above). Any action which would damage or prejudice the Hotel or its employees. If the contract is not completed and signed within 14 days from paying the 750 deposit or if the secondary deposit of 750 is not paid 6 months after booking. Cancellation policy: Cancellation of your booking will only be accepted if you confirm this in writing and sent to the hotel by recorded delivery. The original deposit of 750 is non-refundable. The secondary deposit of 750 paid 6 months after booking is non-refundable. All further deposits are non-refundable. In the event of cancellation for whatever reason or time period prior to the date of the wedding, no refunds shall be given. For cancellations between 9-2 months prior to the event a further charge of 40% of the final bill will be made (For those who have not made their final details, the charges will be made on our cheapest current meal, drinks and buffet packages) For cancellations within 8 weeks prior to the wedding a further charge making up 100% of the total revenue from the projected food, drink, and accommodation reserved. 20 T E R M S & C O N D I T I O N S Payment Procedure: Once your definite decision has been made and you would like to hold your function at the Gomersal Park Hotel, we will require: Signed terms & conditions and a non-refundable deposit of 750. A secondary deposit of 750 six months after booking. 40% of the estimated final bill is required three months before the function. Final payment is required two weeks prior. A change of date incurs a 250 moving deposit as well as the above payments. Any outstanding balance is to be settled prior to the event. The hotel reserves the right to increase its advertised tariff without formal notification. The hotel reserves the right to change/redecorate etc the function rooms/hotel without formal notification. Wedding Exclusivity (Platinum Package Only) We will take no other wedding or evening wedding in our private function rooms. Full payment at time of booking Available only on the Platinum package Date change is unavailable for this package In the event of cancellation NO refund will be given Insurance: The Hotel has details of Wedding insurance and would strongly recommend this being taken out. Wedding presents, wedding cards, wedding cake and wedding decorations/stationary/ plans etc are on the premises entirely at the customer s risk, and loss or damage however caused, is not covered or accepted by the Hotel. Liability: The client shall be liable for any loss or damage to the property or injury to persons including the hotel's staff and shall indemnify the hotel against any other loss or liability arising from the function.
