4 The monthly survey of Frozen Fish is undertaken by the Dominion Bureau of Statistics and is collected in cooperation with the Department of Fisheries and Forestry. Canada and in the case of Quebec firms, the Quebec Bureau of Statistics. Both these agencies have access to the returns. Chapter 21 of the Statutes of Canada , covering the Freshwater Fish Marketing Act provides for the creation of a Freshwater Fish Marketing Corporation. Since this cor poration is now operating in the Prairie provinces, the Northwest Territories and northwest Ontario and is freezing and storing practically 1007 of all freshwater fish products in this area, statistics on these freezings are confidential.
