5 0 S The monthly survey of Frozen Fish is undertaken by Statistics Canada and is collected in cooperation with Environment Canada, Fisheries Services, and in the case of Quebec firms, the Quebec Bureau of Statistics. Both these agencies have access to the returns. Ces deu organiames ont accls au declarations. Every effort is made to include in this survey all firms producing frozen fish products. Also included are public and private cold storage plants, holding significant quantities of frozen fish, (i.e. 30,000 pounds or more at any period in the year). Estimates are made for other firms if they fail to reply on time. This Corporation began operations in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and Northwest Territories on May let 1969 and in Northwest Ontario on September 15th The Corporation now freezes and stores practically 1007, of all Freshwater fish products in this area. t has therefore become necessary, in order to conform with the provisions of the Statistics Act, to suppress the data for Freshwater species.
