2 The Highwood Golf & Country Club is a favorite for golfers as it is located just 20 minutes south of Calgary. Our accommodating layout is divided into 3 separate ninehole courses; Heritage, Spitzee and Mountainview. Each nine has its own individual character giving the course a very unique quality. You will experience majestic cottonwood trees, the beautiful Highwood River and breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains. With multiple tee boxes on every hole, the course provides championship length to executive length accommodating each golfer s skill level. The Club prides itself on being one of Alberta s finest golf facilities. The Highwood Golf and C. C. has been recognized as a Silver Award Winner ranking us in the top 15 Semi-Private and Public Golf Courses in the province. The Highwood Golf & C. C. has undergone two major expansions since it first opened in In 1982 the Club became an 18 hole golf course. Ten years later under the direction of course architect Bill Robinson, nine more holes were added to make the Highwood a full 27 hole golf facility. In 2011 the Highwood opened a new architecturally designed 16,000 sq ft clubhouse. The Club has an upscale practice facility conveniently located by two of our starting holes. The facility includes a driving range, putting green and a practice chipping green with a sand bunker. The Highwood also offers a fully stocked Pro Shop with a great selection of quality merchandise at competitive prices. Canadian P.G.A. staff members are available for service and advice. Our Pro Shop welcomes the opportunity to work closely with you to make your experience at the Highwood an enjoyable one. Consider the Highwood for your next corporate or charity golf tournament. 9 TOURNAMENT CONDITIONS 1) The proposed tournament date will only be confirmed when a non-refundable deposit of $ or ten (10%) percent of the total estimated bill and the completed tournament contract are received by the Highwood Golf & Country Club. 2) At the time of booking a valid credit card number is required and will be placed in your file. Invoices will be issued within 1 week of the completion of the tournament and must be paid within 30 days. If the balance has not been paid after 30 days, we will process the balance using the credit card held on file. 3) The exact number of players will be required at least seven (7) days prior to the tournament date. The confirmation number will be your guarantee. You will be charged for the guaranteed number or actual number whichever is greater. 4) The names of all players IN FOURSOMES must be received three (3) days prior to the event. 5) Highwood s dress code is strictly enforced and must be adhered to. Men s shirts must have sleeves. Ladies shirts must have sleeves or a collar. Skirts and shorts can be not shorter than mid thigh in length. Shorts and slacks must be tailored with a zipper or button. Jeans are acceptable attire provided they are in good repair. 6) Club Marshalls have full authority to enforce the pace of play. 7) Highwood is the sole supplier of all food and beverage items to be consumed on the premises. All alcoholic beverages must be purchased from golf course personnel. As per Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commissions regulations, section subsection (e). The following is unauthorized or illegal liquor, and shall not be present on licensed premises; any liquor brought into the premises by patrons. All other alcoholic beverages will be confiscated. 8) The tournament organizer is responsible for any damage to golf carts, golf course, clubhouse, rental clubs or any property of the Highwood Golf and Country Club. 9) All tournaments booked must be played on the day they are scheduled unless the course is closed or deemed unplayable by the Course Superintendent. 9
