1 Ministry of Plantation Industries Sri Lanka Tea Board Participation at International Trade Fairs January to December 2018 Applications are invited from registered Tea Exporters for selection for participation at International Trade Fairs under Sri Lanka Tea Board subsidized participation scheme that will come into effect from 1 st January Exporters of pure Ceylon Tea brands with Lion Logo and a proven track record will be considered for selection. Selection of participants will be made by a panel appointed by the Sri Lanka Tea Board and the decision of the panel will be final. The subsidy scheme will cover space rental and booth construction. All other expenses will have to be borne by the selected participants. Selected applicants will be entitled to a subsidy as specified below: Exporter All exporters (Large, Medium & Small) Small Subsidy 50% of cost of Space & Booth Construction only (for individual booth) Information desk facilities will be provided free of charge to exporters. 3 PARTICIPATION AT INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIRS JANUARY TO MAY Prodexpo Moscow, Russia (5-9 February ) PRODEXPO is the largest annual specialized exhibition in Russia and Eastern Europe. For more than 20 years, it has determined the development of the domestic food industry. The 25 th edition of PRODEXPO will be held in Moscow from 5 th to 9 th February Over the years of its existence, the PRODEXPO exhibition has played an important role in stimulating the Russian food industry. Promoting high-quality foodstuffs to the domestic market, the PRODEXPO trade show contributes to implementing high-priority federal projects aimed at improving the quality of life of the Russian citizens. PRODEXPO is one of the main exhibitions in the trade fair calendar of the Sri Lanka Tea Board (SLTB). SLTB has been participating at PRODEXPO exhibition along with the private sector tea exporting companies organizing a Ceylon Tea pavilion during past two decades as the Russia has been the number one market for Ceylon Tea. SLTB has already reserved a space of 50 SQM for the Ceylon Tea pavilion at the exhibition. The cost per booth (Shell scheme) will be approximately Rs. 850,000 including basic furniture. 2. Gulfood Dubai, UAE (18-22 February) Gulfood, Dubai (UAE) One of the largest and most potential food and beverage expositions in the world today. Some analysts argue that Gulfood has surpassed even SIAL France and Anuga Germany in reaping benefits of participation by the Tea Sector. Gulf Food 2018 Trade Exhibition will be held in Dubai World Trade Center, Dubai from 18 th to 22 nd February Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Ceylon Tea pavilion at the above fair along with the exporting companies in Sri Lanka. The cost per booth of 9Sqm (Shell scheme) will be approximately Rs. 950,000 including basic furniture. 3. Foodex Tokyo, Japan (6-9 March) The 43rd international Food & Beverage Exhibition, Foodex Japan 2018 is scheduled to be held from 6th - 9th March 2018 at Makuhan, Messe in Chiba, Tokyo. The annual Foodex trade extravaganza is undisputedly rated as the largest food & beverage exhibition in the Asia/Pacific Rim where close to 100,000 serious buyers and sellers congregate. Only Anuga Fair in Germany and SIAL Fair in France is considered more important and bigger than Foodex held every year at Makuhari Messe in Chiba City around 50 km from Tokyo metropolis. Sri Lanka Tea Board has been successfully participating at Foodex Japan exhibition in the past 20 years. Sri Lanka tea industry has utilized Foodex Japan to effectively promote Ceylon Tea in Japan. Besides discussing and finalizing business propositions, the Foodex event is availed as a meeting place for buyers, importers, distributors and packers with suppliers, exporters and brand marketers across the globe once a year on food & drink trade. Many innovative and new products are introduced by competitors at this exhibition. Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Sri Lanka Group Stand for Ceylon Tea at Foodex Japan 2018 too, depending on the response from the trade. The cost per booth of 9Sqm (Shell scheme) will be approximately Rs.950, with basic furniture.

4 4. The Natural Food Show London, UK (22-23 April) The Natural Food Show is a 2 day event being held from 22 nd to 23 rd April 2018 at the ExCeL Centre in London, United Kingdom. This event showcases products like natural food products, organic food and Natural food ingredients, raw materials and other natural substances etc. Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Sri Lanka Group Stand for Ceylon Tea at Natural Show 2018 depending on the response from the trade. The cost of Shell Scheme in line Stand and Shell Scheme Corner Stand are 392 per m2 and 465 per m2 respectively. The cost per booth of 9Sqm (Shell scheme) will be approximately Rs.875, including basic furniture. 5. World Food Uzbekistan - Tashkent, Uzbekistan (4-6 April) 18 th edition of the World Food Uzbekistan exhibition will be held from 4 th to 6 th April 2018 at Uzexpocentre, NEC Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The exhibition is organized by ITE Uzbekistan, ITE Exhibitions & Conferences Ltd in London and ITE Eurasian Exhibitions jointly. World Food Uzbekistanis the largest international food exhibition in Uzbekistan gathering thousands of food industry experts each year. Participation in World Food Uzbekistan provides a unique opportunity to present products to a wider audience of experts, find new partners and customers from among procurement professionals representing retailers and wholesalers. Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Sri Lanka Group Stand for Cairo International Fair 2018 depending on the response from the trade. The cost of a 9 SQM Equipped Stand will be approximately USD 3,000/-(Rs. 475,000/-) including basic furniture. 6. Cairo International Fair - Nasr City, Egypt (14-23 March) Cairo International Fair 2018 Trade Exhibition is scheduled to be held in Cairo International Convention and Exhibition Center-Nasr Road, Nasr City, Egypt. Cairo International Fair 2018 Trade Exhibition is a leading trade show of Food and Beverages in Egypt. This Trade Exhibition focuses on trade buyers/potential business persons from Middle East and North Africa Regions. Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Sri Lanka Group Stand for Cairo International Fair 2018 depending on the response from the trade. The cost per booth of 9 sqm will be around USD 4,500/= (Approximately Rs.700,000/=).The booth is equipped with basic furniture. 7. Anufood Euro Asia - Turkey (14 16 March) ANUFOOD Eurasia powered by Anuga, had become the new marketplace for the F&B industry to Taste Eurasia. High-level exhibitors from all over the globe present their latest trends, innovations and solutions and generate an ideal match with the industry s top-buyers from the surrounding regions Balkan, CIS and MENA. Anufood Eurasia 2018 Trade Exhibition is scheduled to be held in TUYAP Exhibition Center-Istanbul, Turkey from 14th to 16th April Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Sri Lanka Group Stand for Anufood Eurasia 2018 depending on the response from the trade. FHA 2018 Singapore Expo Center & Suntec Singapore (24-27 April 2018) The FHA 2018 International Exhibition is scheduled to be held from 24th to 27th April 2018 in Singapore Expo Center & Suntec Singapore. FHA Specialty Coffee and Tea 2018 is the leading trade show of Foods and Beverages. Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Sri Lanka Group Stand for Ceylon Tea. The cost of a 9 SQM Shell Scheme Booth will be around Singapore Dollars 6,435/= (Approximately Rs.735, 000/=) including the basic furniture. 9. SIAL Canada Montreal, Canada (2-4 May ) SIAL Canada Exhibition 2018 is scheduled to be held in Montreal from 2 nd May to 4 th May Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Ceylon Tea pavilion at the above fair. World Food Warsaw Poland (10-12 April) World Food Warsaw 2018 is scheduled to be held from April 2018 at Warsaw International Expo centre EXPO XXI, Warsaw, Poland. The World Food Warsaw 2018 exhibition is an opportunity for the entire food & beverage industry which provides a platform to connect and conduct business with over 4,000 industry buyers operating in Central & Eastern Europe. The event brings together the region's distributors, retailers, manufacturers and associations. SIAL China, Shanghai (16-18 May) The 19 th International Exhibition for food, drink, hospitality, Food service, bakery & retail industries exhibition, SIAL China 2018 is schedule to be held from 16 th to 18 th May 2018 at Shanghai New international Expo Centre, Shanghai, China. SIAL China is Asia s largest food and beverage exhibition. The Exhibition is consisting of 2942 exhibitors from 67 countries and regions. It is recorded 76,986 visitors in Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Sri Lanka group Stand for Ceylon Tea at SIAL China The total cost of participation will be around USD 6,000/= (Approximately LKR 865,000.00) for a walk-on stand package for 9sqm booth along with standard furniture and fittings.

6 12. Food West Africa Lagos, Nigeria (8-10 May) The 3 rd edition of this event will take place from 8 th to 10 th May 2018 at the Landmark centre, Lagos, Nigeria. Food West Africa provides a unique platform for showcase products and services to thousands of decision makers and influencing individuals from across the West African food and drink industry. Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Sri Lanka Group Stand for Ceylon Tea. The cost of a 9 SQM Shell Scheme Booth will be around USD 4,275/- (approximately LKR 662,625/-) including the basic furniture. 13. World Food Azerbaijan Baku, Azerbaijan (23-25 May) World Food Azerbaijan has established itself as the Caspian Region's leading food industry event with a history of 21 years at its venue. Over the years of its existence, World Food Azerbaijan has proven itself as a reliable platform for annual meetings between experts, and demonstrations of equipment, products and services in the food industry. World Tea Expo, Las Vegas, USA (11-14 June) World Tea Expo 2018 is scheduled to be held in Las Vegas Convention Center, CA, USA from 12 th to 14 th June, World Tea Expo is the leading show and conference focused 100% on premium teas and related products. Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Ceylon Tea pavilion at the above fair along with the private sector exporting companies in Sri Lanka under subsidy scheme for participation of International Trade fairs, depending on the response from the trade. The total cost of shell booth (100sq.ft) is approximately USD 4,500/- (LKR 700,000/-) with basis furniture. 16. Agrofood & Beverage, Teheran, Iran (24-27 June) Iran Agrofood 2018 Trade Exhibition is scheduled to be held in Teheran International Fair Grounds, Teheran, Iran from 24 th to 27 th June Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Sri Lanka Group Stand for Iran Agrofood 2018 depending on the response from the trade. 7 17. SAITEX, Johannesburg, South Africa (24-26 June) SAITEX is Africa s largest international product sourcing expo. SAITEX 2018 is scheduled to be held from June at The Gallagher Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa. For more than 20 years, SAITEX in Johannesburg has attracted retail and trade buyers from across Africa who meets exhibitors with products from all over the world. Food Taipei, Taipei, Taiwan (27-29 June) Food Taipei 2018 Trade exhibition is scheduled to be held in Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center from 27 th to 30 th June Food Taipei 2018 is the leading trade show of Foods and Beverages in Taipei, Taiwan. Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Sri Lanka Group Stand for Food Taipei 2018 trade exhibition depending on the response from the trade. Summer Fancy Food, New York, USA (30 June 2 July) Summer Fancy Food Show 2018 is scheduled to be held in Jacob Javtis Conventional Centre, NY, USA from 30 th June to 2 nd July, Summer Fancy Food Show is also a leading trade shows (Food & Beverages) and conference focused 100% on premium teas and related products. Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Ceylon Tea pavilion at the above fair along with the private sector exporting companies in Sri Lanka depending on the response from the trade. The total cost of shell booth (100sq.ft) is approximately USD 5,200/- (LKR 1,600,000/-) with basis furniture. 20. Malaysia Int. Food & Bev. Trade Fair, Malaysia (27 29 June) The 19th Malaysian International Food & Beverage (MIFB) Trade fair is scheduled to be held from 27th to 29th June 2018 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Malaysia. Natural and Healthy Produce showcase will be an ideal platform for companies serving the Food and Beverage industry and is constantly finding innovative ways to improve and cater their products to the community with the Healthy living vision. Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Sri Lanka Group Stand for Ceylon Tea at MIFB along with the private sector exporting companies in Sri Lanka under depending on the response from the trade. The cost of shell scheme booth is approximately US$ 4,000 (Approximately LKR 620,000/=) for a 9 sq. m. booth including basic furniture and fitting.

8 21. Int. Tea Fair, Hong Kong (16 18 August) The 10th Hong Kong International Trade Fair 2018 is scheduled to be held from 16th - 18th August 2018 in Hong Kong. Due to the successful outcome of our participation in the last nine years, Sri Lanka Tea Board has decided to coordinate a Sri Lanka Tea pavilion this time as well. We are also pleased to inform you that we have once again been successful in negotiating special rates for participating booth holders from Sri Lanka. The concessions offered to the exhibitors from Sri Lanka are given below. -30% discount on booth cost - US$2,572.5 per 9sqm booth with Basic equipments (original price - US$3,675) -3-night hotel sponsorship per exhibitor per 9 sqm -Free Business Matching service for each 9sqm paid booth 22. World Food, Moscow, Russian (17 20 September) The World Food Moscow Exhibition (WFM) is Russia s Premier International Exhibition for the Food and Drink industry where the world of food meets Russia. The 26 th edition of World Food Moscow continues to provide suppliers in the food and drink industry with a great opportunity to meet buyers in one of the World s most sought after growth markets Russia. The WFM 2018 is scheduled to be held from 17th to 20th September in Moscow. The exhibition will be organized by ITE Group PLC. Sri Lanka Tea Board has decided to organize a Ceylon Tea Pavilion this time as well while occupying 54 SQM exhibition areas to accommodate 06 exhibitors (05 private sector tea companies + Sri Lanka Tea Board). The estimated cost per booth will be 1.2 Million Rupees (USD 7,500/)

World Tea & Coffee Expo, Mumbai, India (29 November 1 December) The 5th World Tea & Coffee Expo 2018, WTCE, India's International trade fair will be held at Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai, India in November Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Ceylon Tea pavilion at the above fair. The cost of 9sqm shell scheme will be around USD 2500/= (approximately LKR 375,000/=) with basic furniture and country identification. 26. COTECA, Hamburg, Germany (10 12 October) Coteca in Hamburg is an international trade fair for Coffee, Tea and Cocoa. It is one of the few shows in Europe, where all beverage branches are united. Numerous exhibitors from all over the world are present here and make the fair an ideal platform to make business contacts. The next COTECA is scheduled to be held from 10 th to 12 th October 2018 in Hamburg, Germany. Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Ceylon Tea pavilion at the above fair with the tea exporting companies in Sri Lanka. The cost per 9sqm shell scheme booth will be around USD 8000/- (Approximately 1,150,000/=) with basic furniture and country identification. 27. SIAL Paris, France (21 25 October) SIAL Paris 2018 is a famous Food and Beverage Trade exhibition in the world. SIAL Paris 2018 Trade exhibition will be held on Paris Nord Villepinite in France from 21 st to 25 th October SIAL Paris exhibition will feature an extensive selection of products and supplies by international manufacturers and suppliers for the food and drinks sector from fresh produce to ready to- eat products, and confectioneries to beverages. Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Sri Lanka Group Stand for Ceylon Tea at SIAL Paris The cost per booth of 9 Sqm will be around Euro 7,600/= (Approximately Rs.1,200,000/=) with basic furniture and country identity. 28. Saudi HORECA, Riyadh, S. Arabia (27 29 November) SAUDI HORECA is the biggest annual hospitality exhibition in Saudi Arabia is scheduled to be held in Riyadh International Conventional and Exhibition Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 27 th to 29 th November This exhibition focuses on trade buyers/potential business persons from Saudi Arabia. Sri Lanka Tea Board intends to organize a Sri Lanka Group Stand for Saudi Horeca 2018, depending on the response from the trade. The cost per booth of 9 sqm will be around USD 4,500/= (Approximately Rs.700,000/=).The booth is equipped with basic furniture. 29. Xiamen Tea Fair, Xiamen, China ( October) The 10th edition of China Xiamen International Trade Fair 2018 scheduled to be held from 18th to 22nd October 2018 at Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Centre in China. The event is organized by International Communication Association of Chinese Tea Culture, Xiamen general Chamber of commerce and Xiamen international Chamber of commerce for the 9th consecutive year. Sri Lanka Tea Board intends promoting country group stand for Ceylon Tea at the above exhibition in 2018.All the participants tea brands must carry the Lion Logo. Please note that the subsidy scheme is not applicable for China Xiamen International Trade Fair 2018 and all the Sri Lankan tea exporters under Sri Lanka Tea Board's country group stand will get their booth at a discount price. Ceylon Tea exporters need to coordinate directly the exhibition organizers for the

10 respective tea company's booth payments and constructions. The total cost per 3m x 3m (9sqm) stand equipped booth in this exhibition will be around USD 600 (Approximately LKR 94,000.00) 30. World Food, Kiev, Ukraine (23 25 Oct) World Food Ukraine (WFU) is the country s largest food and drink event and hosts a wide range of food and drink suppliers, who demonstrate their latest products to the market. For the past 20 years, World Food Ukraine has proved to be an effective forum for introducing international products to the market. Companies can meet decision-making buyers, including: food and drink producers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers and restaurateurs. The WFU 2018 is scheduled to be held in Kyiv, Ukraine from 23 rd to 25 th October. The exhibition will be organized by ITE Group PLC. Sri Lanka Tea Board intends organizing a group pavilion occupying 36 SQM where 03 private sector tea companies and Sri Lanka Tea Board will accommodate in the Ceylon Tea pavilion. The estimated cost for booth will be Rs.700, (USD 4,500/-) 31.
