Please list ingredients on the containers. And can you please clearly mark for the Café. We are filling rosters for Junior, Senior and Middle School stalls. It is always a really fun day where our whole community gets involved! Middle School is responsible for running the Sideshow Alley this year. This will involve all four Houses. The activities that will be part of Sideshow Alley this year are: Treasure Hunt, Go Fish, Lucky Dip, Balls in a Hoop, Knock a Block, Putt Putt and Dunking Machine. All of the stalls will be run from 10am 3pm. Each student in the Middle School has been asked to give one hour to running their stalls. If any parents are available and are willing to help out on these stalls, would you please tony.longmire@flcr.qld.edu.au Senior School is responsible for running a number of stalls this year that will require the involvement of both parents and students from across Year These stalls are:- Soft Drinks; Facepainting; Coffee machine - Cafe; and Hot chips. Each student in the Senior School will be asked to give one hour on a stall at Funfest. We also need parent helpers for each session. These can be returned to either the Junior, Middle or Senior School Offices. Larger prizes can also be dropped off at all offices. Ready.Set BAKE! Blocks of Chocolate and Bottles of Soft Drink for the Lob-a-choc and Soft drink stall. Any size or shape Please drop at Junior School Office 6W and Prep N are looking forward to selling your baked treats at this year s cake stall. Why not start planning what you would like to bake now? Stuck for ideas, here s a few to get you started! Large Cakes, Cupcakes, Muffins and Slices, Fudge and Brownies, Biscuits, Homemade Bread or Jams and Pickles. We welcome anything scrumptious. Cake trays and bags are available from the Junior School office now until Thursday, 19 May. ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS FILL IN THE ORDER FORM BELOW AND RETURN IT TO THE OFFICE OR YOUR ORDERS THROUGH TO ME AT THE ADDRESS BELOW. WE WILL DELIVER THE TRAYS AND BAGS TO YOUR CHILD S CLASSROOM. All your delicious baked goodies can be delivered to the Junior School Office from Thursday, 19 May or EARLY on the morning of Funfest direct to the stall. Please remember to attach a list of ingredients. A BIG thank you in advance to all the bakers out there, we appreciate your hard work. Please Note: For health and safety reasons, we require that you use the trays supplied by the school (ie: not meat trays) and avoid using fresh cream as we cannot refrigerate items. TRAY and BAG ORDER FORM Name: Child s Class: I will require : (quantity) SMALL TRAYS and BAGS suitable for small biscuits, bite-size muffins, sweet items such as coconut ice and fudge varieties. (quantity) MEDIUM TRAYS and BAGS suitable for larger biscuits, slices, cupcakes and muffins. (quantity) LARGE TRAYS and BAGS suitable for cakes and bread. The bags are intended to fit over the trays to protect your baked goods. Please tape the bag down and stick the ingredients label on the top. If you would prefer to use the smaller sweet bags, without the trays, for sweets, ginger bread men, biscuits or individual cupcakes just let us know.
6 Pot-Plants We are requesting donations of established pot-plants from you, your neighbours, family and friends. The plants will be given a bit of fertiliser, watered and kept happy until the day of FunFest. Please drop into the College now. If you need plant pots, please pick them up from the Junior School Office. Are you able to donate bags of: Snakes Bananas Mixed Lollies Musk Sticks Raspberries Strawberries and Cream Homebrand blocks of choc (for melting and dipping sweets) Lolly Kebabs THANK YOU TO If you could drop them off at the Junior School office that would be great. Please mark on the bag Sweet Stall. Also if you are a great sweet maker, we just can t get enough fudge, toffees, coconut ice, toffee apples, marshmallows and anything else that can be made for the Sweet Stall. If anyone has a yummy, easy recipe please it to me so I can copy it and put on the next note to go home. Let s make this year the best Sweet Stall ever! 10 Sweet Recipes The Sweet Stall this year would love to have lots of home baked sweets. Here are a few tested and successful recipes for those that would love to help. Homemade sweets make our Sweet Stall a success. Please bring to the front office on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning of Funfest. All homemade goods must have an ingredients tag. Sweet trays are available from Junior School office. Fudge 125g unsalted butter 2 Tbsp golden syrup 1 can condensed milk 1 cup brown sugar 75g 100g dark chocolate (to taste - less makes milk chocolate fudge, more makes dark chocolate fudge) 1. Melt butter in saucepan 2. Add golden syrup, condensed milk and sugar 3. Stir over a low heat until simmering. 4. Simmer gently 15 mins stir frequently. 5. Remove from heat and allow to cool a little 6. Add chocolate in batches and stir in 7. Beat until combined and smooth. 8. Set in a baking paper-lined slice tray for ease of removal; allow to cool completely before turning out and slicing. Coconut Ice Ingredients 2 egg whites 2 cups (315g) icing sugar 1 cup (90g) dessicated desiccated coconut 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 250g copha (kremelta) few drops red food colouring Preparation method 1. Beat the egg whites a little - just to combine - and then mix in the sugar coconut 1. and vanilla Melt the copha over a low heat and stir into the other ingredients. Toffee 3 Cups Caster Sugar 1 Cup water 2 teaspoon white vinegar Sprinkles 12 x mini patty cakes Combine ingredients in med saucepan Stir over medium heat till sugar dissolved Bring to boil and do not stir for 15 min (mix will start to darken). Pour into cases. Wait 2 minutes then decorate with sprinkles.
